Memory Keeping with Project Life x Stampin’ Up Blog Hop

Hello there and welcome to my blog today and to the Memory Keeping with Project Life x Stampin Up Blog Hop. We are smaller in numbers than normal due to the Easter Holidays mostly, but I hope you do enjoy what you see!

The theme this time was to use the Playground Card Collection from Stampin Up! This is a collection that I have used a lot as it is perfect for school aged children and as you know I am catching up on the documenting of my 2 boys as they are growing up! The eagle eyed amongst you may have noticed that I have done something a little different and I have started rounding the corners of my cards and photos! I am SO pleased I did this, it has made a big difference to my pages I think.

The first page I am sharing with you is from my son Ross’s 3rd birthday in 2002 (he will be 16 in a few weeks time!) Ross was really into Monsters Inc at the time, it was the first time we took him to the cinema so he loved his Monsters Inc cake (top left)
He had a party at the local play gym but we also had a party at home over the weekend as it was the Queens Golden Jubilee that weekend, which is why we have the Union Jack bunting in the garden.

I used the number 3 from the Larger than Life Alphabet and Numbers set which is great for Project Life and the TODAY is stamped using the Sophisticated Serif Alphabet from the Spring/Summer Catalogue. Can you see the word Smile? Its stamped using the White Stazon directly onto the photo and the stamp is from the So You stamp set which is right at the back of the SS Catalogue and often overlooked. 23 stamps in this set for £22.95 and perfect for Project Life.

This has to be one of my favourite photos! I caught Ross blowing his candles out just at the right time! Love his puffed out cheeks!

On the back of this layout are photos from Ross’s 4th Birthday. I decided to do all his birthdays together in his album and its great to see how he changes from one to the other. Ross’s 4th Birthday was his first one as a big brother to Evan and he was now into Scooby Doo as you can see from the cake. He also got his first proper bike as his present this year.

I love the little bike embellishment on here which is perfect for this layout! I slipped it onto one of the card stock stickers from the accessory pack.
If you think your cards are a little plain you can always add some doodling and little stickers which I have done here.

I hope you enjoyed these layouts. My style is fairly simple as I have a lot of catching up to do but the best thing is, I am enjoying it so so much!

Check out some of my Design Team friends and what they have been up to!
