Krafty Christmas Day 2

Good morning, thanks for all your comments on my courgettes!!!!!
1 down, only 11 to go!!!!
Here is another card using the Kraft card and White inkpad. I have used 3 different stamp sets on this card as they all had elements I wanted to include on the card.
The background is using the snowflake from the Wondrous Gift stamp set, stamped randomly all over in the Craft ink. The tree (from Season of Joy) has been stamped onto Chocolate Chip card and then heat embossed with white embossing powder, it really makes it pop.
The decorative border is made with the new Eyelet border punch which I am loving at the moment and the sentiment is from the Occasional Greetings set

Arty farty angle
I am going to do a workshop this afternoon with a lovely bunch of very keen Stampin Up ladies!
Will be back tomorrow with my Stamp with Us DT card

Punched Monkey Tutorial

I have been admiring the wondeful punched animals on one of my lovely dowline, Sarahs blog and thought I would have a go at my own. Thanks for the inspiration Sarah.
Now most of you know I have a bit of a thing for cupcakes, well I also have a thing for monkeys too!!!!!!! I love the cheeky little fellas and have got quite a few monkey stamps so I decided to have a go at at punched monkey!!!
AND HERE HE IS!!!!!
Now then , you do need rather a vast amount of punches so here goes
  • 1 3/4 inch circle
  • 1 3/8 inch circle
  • 1 1/4 inch circle
  • 1 inch circle
  • 3/4 inch circle
  • 1/2 inch circle
  • 1/4 inch circle
  • Oval
  • Word Window
And also the following other items, sponge daubers, chocolate chip card, creamy caramel card, inkpads of these colours, white gel pen, brown pen, dimensionals and adhesive

OK you need to cut out the following in Chocolate Chip, 4 x Word Window, 1 x 1 3/4 circle, 1 x 1 3/8 circle, 2 x 3/4 inch circle. The following in Creamy Caramel 1 x Oval, 1 x 1 1/4 circle, 1 x 1 inch circle, 2 x i/2 inch circle. Then in white 2 x 1/2 inch and in black 2 x 1/4 inch. Phew that was a lot!

OK ink all the edges of the Choc CHip card with Choc CHip ink and the edges of the Creamy Caramel card with Creamy Caramel ink. Layer the 1 inch circle over the 1 3/4 inch circle as above

Next layer the 1 1/4 circle over the 1 3/8 circle as above

Ok now layer these over each other as shown

Next add some dimensional to the back of the oval

And then adhere to the body and head as above

Next add the eyes, I used Tombow wet glue for these

Then add the 1/2 inch Creamy Caramel circles onto the 3/4 inch Choc Chip and glue to the back of the head.

My favourite part now, add the limbs using the Word Window punch outs, I added one arm higher than the other to look like this arm is hanging onto the tree branches.

You then need to decorate your monkeys feet, mouth and freckles!!!!
I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial, I think I have got the punching bug and will try and make more!!!!
I am happy for you to use my design to make your own monkeys but please could you put a link on your blog to mine to give credit, that would be much appreciated.
Please leave me a comment to let me know what you think.

Tree Trimmings

I feel bad that I didnt post this morning so I have got 2 cards for you today, both very different but using the same stamp set Tree Trimming, a fantastic value set at £10.95
Here is the first one, OMG check out that lush ribbon, I just love it! And it makes tying bows very very easy.
Now just as I was getting to the nitty gritty with the glitter on this one, my little Evan decided to come in and "help" me!!! Hmmmmmmm we went a bit wrong, the glitter went a bit astray but you get the idea I hope!

I have stamped the baubles in Versamark then added Heat and Stick powder and then the glitter.

OOoo that ribbon just looks soooo lush!!! Love it!

Here is another one I made in the same evening, more of a clean and simple card and could easily be reproduced to make a batch in one night.

Papers from MErry Moments and Old Olive Striped grosgrain. Dont do what I did though and get cocky and not use my Stamp a ma Jig, hmmmm wonky sentiments r us!!!!
Hope you like these cards
Will be back tomorrow

Stamp with Us challenge

This week on Stamp with us is a sketch challenge. I decided to go for sometime completely different for me and make a Halloween card. My boys have been invited to a Halloween party so I think they can take this card with them to say thanks
The colour combo is Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Lavender Lace. I have stamped the background with the little pumpkin from the All in the Family accessories and then added a strip of Lavender Lace with some Pumpkin Pie Striped grosgrain ribbon.

I was taught how to do the cute little ghostie at some training I attended by my upline Monica, thanks Monica.

The sentiment is from the Occasional Greetings set and I have punched it out with my Word Window punch
Felt really rough on and off all week this week, don't know whats up with me, a lazy day today I think

Special Wedding card

Another card order to show today but this time for a different customer. This card is for my Uncle's partner to give to her son and daughter in law on their wedding day! No pressure there then!!!
The ceremony today is an Asian wedding ceremony to I was asked to do a card with white and red and not overly fussy and could I use a diamante heart
I made a box for the card and layered it with white tissue paper. I have used Real Red cardstock and ribbon and also the tiny flowers are from the Level 1 hostess papers from the last catty!

For the background I have used an embossing folder and then my nesties. Behind the oval I have added a strip of Real Red punched out with my new Eyelet Border punch and I layered over some more of the gorgeous white satin ribbon.

More real red ribbon at the bottom with the diamante heart.

Arty farty angle.
Off to do a mass tidy and clean today, might sneak a bit of crafting in too!

Special First Birthday

Happy Friday, back again with another card for an order. My sisters friend asked for a card for her little girl who is 1. She just wanted to make a feature of the word Daughter. I have used an 8x8 card and covered it with some Sweet Always papers that I have left over!
The wording has been cut out on my Cricut in Pretty in Pink cardstock.
I hve also used some of the new Whisper White satin ribbon, gosh its so silky!! I love it! I have punched out some butterflies and then I stamped Versamark on them and added Heat and stick and then some Dazzlin Diamonds glitter

Arty farty angle.
My sister has texted me to say she loves the cards I did, I will show you the other one tomorrow

I have gone for a new colour combo here, it is Perfect Plum, Old Olive, and Rose Red. I have used the Eyelet border punch on all 3 sides and of course the fab new butterfly set!

Gina's name and age have been stamped with the Schoolbook serif sets.

I added cute little buttons to the centres of the butterflies.

Hope you have a fab day Gina and get spoilt rotten!!!!

Last card from class

Here is the last card from my class and its something very different to the others. I have made a Joy Fold card using the Trendy Trees set
The colour combo is Old Olive, Really Rust and Chocolate Chip. I have used OLd Olive designer papers and inked around the edges with the Old Olive inkpad.

Also used the Mat Pack and Pricking tools to decorate the corners. Its great now that this can be purchased individually! Sentiment is also from the Trendy Trees set.

Inside I added another little tree. I am not usually a tree kinda person on cards but I must admit I loke these ones cos they are little and cute!

Arty farty angle as usual! Back again tomorrow with another card!
Bye for now
