Happy 30th Birthday Myles

Hello there! Today I am back with something very sparkly for someone very special! You may remember that I was involved in a Strictly Come Dancing Super Fan quiz back in 2014 (yes I had to check that date!) and I got to go and watch the final in the studio. Well one of the best things about the experience was the wonderful friends I met, many of whom I am still in touch with. One of those such friends is Myles whom I was up against in the first round of the quiz. We hit it off instantly and have kept in touch and have become such good friends despite Myles living in London. Last weekend it was Myles 30th birthday and I got a fabulous Strictly themed invitation in the post, the theme of the party was of course Strictly and off I went last Saturday with my ballroom frock ready to party. We had a fabulous evening!
A Strictly party deserved a very sparkly card and this is the card I made for Myles. The Large Letters and Numbers dies coming in very very handy along with the Gold Glimmer Card!
The background is from the Whole Lot of Lovely set of papers and you should be able to see on the last photo that I embossed the "is" with gold embossing powder for extra sparkle!
Would you like to see a little photo of us on the night?
Just to let you know I will be closing my Online Code Club order off at lunch time today so please hurry if you want to take advantage of the code for this month! Thank you

Eighteenth Birthday Card

Hello there and good morning! Today I am sharing a card made for a family friend who was 18 recently. I seem to have had a few 18th cards to make in recent times with all Ross's friends coming of age! I went for the easy option of beers using the Mixed Drinks stamp set again.
This was teamed with the new Wood Textures papers, the Milestone Moments stamps and the Large Letters framelit dies.
A really simple card but 18 year old boys aren't really into fussy cards in my experience!
Thank you to those of you who have used my Online Code so far this month. I will be closing this off on Friday morning.

Memories and More - Perfect Days

Hey there and a very happy Monday to you. Today I am sharing some more pages using the new Memories and More products that went live on 1st June. This particular set is called Perfect Days and I have used it to document some of my photos from the show, Made in Dagenham, that I performed in back in March this year. Have to say they were some of the most perfect days for me!
I played Beryl, a foul mouthed but loveable character and this week was truly one of the best weeks of my life so it needs to be documented! Our eldest son Ross also appeared in the show too and it was so lovely to share the stage with him, I still can't quite believe it to be honest!
I made some truly wonderful friends and I am grateful that we have such a fantastic product to be able to document these times so easily and creatively.
If you want to make a start on documenting your photos and memories and you don't know where to start then drop me a message if you are in the UK and I can help you out!
Hope you enjoyed these pages!

Foil Frenzy Gift Box

Hello there and welcome to my blog today. Today I'm sharing a box that I CASED from page 76 of the new catalogue but I came up with the measurements and design all by myself! Yep I am quite proud of that one!
The Happy Birthday thinlit die that I have used on this make has been a popular choice with my customers and it coordinates with the Happy Birthday Gorgeous to create a fab bundle, see pages 76 and 77 of the catalogue.
You may not be able to see but I actually cut out the Happy Birthday 3 times and layered it on top of each other to create a thicker effect.
I love the Foil Frenzy papers, but you can't really call them papers! They are very thick and perfect for your 3D projects such as boxes and gift bags.
Hope you can see how amazing the foiled element is when you catch it in the light!
Right thats me done for today, I will be back with another post tomorrow - have a great Sunday!

Birthday Memories 1st Birthday Card

Hello there and a happy Friday to you.
Today I am sharing a special card I made for a lovely friend to give to her nephew for his first birthday last weekend. My friend is very musical, in fact it's her career and her passion so I wanted to incorporate this into the card and what better way than the little creatures from the Birthday Memories papers who are playing their musical instruments!
I did get brave and I drew on some music notes, been a while since I did these and I had flashbacks to my GCSE music in 1989 which is probably the last time I had to draw notes!
I used the same fold as I have been sharing all week, and I just LOVED how it turned out with the little creatures creating a birthday march along the card. The sky and grass was achieved by sponging some Whisper White card with the ink pads.
I decorated the back so there was room to write a message for Jamie.
And then I decided to cut out another creature and added the bear to the envelope for a finishing touch! My friend loved the card and Jamie's Mummy couldn't believe I had made it! A good job done I reckon!

Petal Garden for Tuesday Club

Hello and welcome back to my blog today! Today's card is the last in my Graceful Garden series and is a simpler version of the one I have shared over the last 3 blog posts.
As you can see from the photo below this card doesn't have the full foldy party and just has a square on the front piece with a square to write on over the back piece of patterned paper.
Just love this card, think I might save it for myself for my birthday!
Thanks for reading today, I'll be back with something different on Friday.
