Scrapbook Central!

Good Morning!!!

Before I begin today's craft blog post I want to say a big Hello to any of the ladies from the Flower Club whom I met last night, who may have checked into my blog today!! I spent a fab evening showing the ladies a little bit of "paper construction" by making some 3D flowers. There was lots of glue and many of them were "stuck up" with Tombow but it was a good session. I will share photos of the makes later on in the week.

On Saturday I held our Scrapbook Club alongside my new Technique Club. This seems to work as my Scrapbook ladies like to get on and do their own thing and some copy my designs or some of them do their own. We did have a new lady Lucy whom I made sure was looked after but WOW she didn't need help creatively, her first ever page was fantastic, I'll share it with you below!

So this months Scrapbook club was a little different in that I did 2 single page layouts rather than a double page. This page is so chunky that I have put it in a box frame.

I was inspired after seeing this You Tube video HERE. This is one of Stampin Up's videos and I just fell in love with the page that Emily made. The photo below is not very clear as its a photo of my Ipad screen!!!!

Here is my layout minus the frame, I have used photos from our trip to Vienna last year.

Now getting the Rosette to play ball is a job in itself and I had to enrol Evan to help me to manipulate it into place and stick it down!! You need a heavy object on top of it and I knew Ginnette would not let this get the better of her on Saturday so here was her solution! She nipped in the kitchen and got a few plates!!!!

Here are Ginnette's finished pages

And I promised a photo of Lucy's first ever scrapbook page!!! Didn't she do fab?

I'll be back tomorrow with the other page I made!

The last card from the club!

Hello there and greetings from Yorkshire this morning! I am here with the last of the 3 cards from our technique club on Saturday, this one being Triple stamping!

I have seen lots of these type of cards around and the key is the layering! The prep work takes a long time to get the layers just so but I am pleased with the look of the card.

Again we have used the same colour combo of Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose and Wild Wasabi.

A nice flat card for posting!

And here are all of our 3 cards together

I hope you have enjoyed the Technique Club makes - the next club is Saturday 16th March at 2.30pm and we will be using the Secret Garden stamp set and framelits.

More from the club!

Good morning! It's back to school today, which was a bit of a shock to the system! I'm sharing the second card we made at the Technique Club on Saturday. We had to get inky with this one and we swiped the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder with the Wild Wasabi ink pad and then rolled it through the Big Shot.

The ladies were fab and no one got messy!!

Again we used the same colours for this card as I wanted the cards to all co-ordinate

I showed the ladies how I tie my bows as I know a lot of my ladies have "bow issues" or "Bow-phobia"

Well thats it from me today, just a short post as I am prepping for a demonstration I am doing tomorrow evening!

First Technique Club

Good morning and Happy Sunday - yipppeeee I had a lie in today!!!

Yesterday I ran my first ever technique club alongside our usual scrapbooking club. I will share photos this week of the projects from both clubs but I would firstly like to say thank you to the lovely ladies for attending.

If you attend the Technique club you get the stamp set we are using included in the cost of the class! This month we were using the Stippled Blossoms stamp set

It's a gorgeous 2 step stamping set including 10 stamps.

So here was our "Warm up card"! I demonstrated how to use the stamp-a-ma-jig and sometimes I even demonstrated how NOT to use it too!!!! The ladies all had a sheet of Very Vanilla card to get stamping their flowers and leaves for the cards.

We used the Doily sizzlet which does require a bit of pokey tool action to get all the bits out, but it kept us out of mischief for 5-10 minutes

The colours that we used for the afternoon are Wild Wasabi, Pink Pirouette and Regal Rose and the sentiments we used were Petite Pairs.

I will be back tomorrow with another card from this set and if you would like to join us at our next Technique Club this is scheduled for Saturday 16th March at 2.30pm and we will be using the Secret Garden stamp set.

I've just realised that I ran 2 classes yesterday and I didnt forget to bring one thing!! Now that is an achievement!

Patchwork Heart

Good morning! I am up and raring to take Evan dancing this morning having missed the last 2 weeks due to classes and training.

Here is another of the cards from the Card Keeper Box we made last week. This one is made up of a Patchwork Heart using the Heart Framelits and the square punch. I made a large square of the square punch outs stuck on  a piece of card and then rolled it through the Big Shot with the Heart Framelit. I then rolled it back through in the Square Lattice embossing folder to create the patchwork effect.

I stamped the card blank all over with the flower from Bloomin Marvelous and tied some So Saffron ribbon around the centre and added the heart.

The butterflies were punched from the Bitty Butterfly stamp set and then I tied some Calypso Coral Bakers Twine around them to create antennae!

Hope you like it? I am off for a bit of Cha Cha Cha!

More Bashful and Saffron!!

Hi there!! I am back with another card from my Card Keeper box, this time one using the Oh Hello stamp set! I must say this is my most used stamp set from the new Spring/Summer Seasonal! I cannot stop using it!! I love the little patchwork effect on the chevron stamp and I love the chevron oval too and the Oval Framelits - so much use already!!

A really simple but effective card and without the bow it would be a good one for posting in the mail too!!!

The colour combo is Bashful Blue and So Saffron again, with a hint of Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade and Early Espresso.

I'm sorry but I have to dash today, so much to do!!

Co-odinating cards

Good morning! Carrying on from my All Day craft event on Saturday I wanted to share some of the cards I made to go in the boxes over the next few days

I made them to co-ordinate with the box. The one I am sharing today was CASED from one my lovely downline Ginnette made at our Training event the week before. I have kept most of it the same as I loved it so much but I have just embossed the whole card front with the Honeycomb embossing folder.

These papers have made me fall in love with So Saffron and Bashful Blue - can't stop using them now!

Hope you liked this make, I will be back tomorrow with another one!

Mother's Day Dress Up!

Hi there! Hope you didn't miss me too much yesterday after my little bloggy day off! As its the school holidays I am spending some time with my boys so the blog took a tiny back seat yesterday!!

Today I am sharing a card which we made at Tuesday Club last night! The theme was for me to do a luxury Mother's Day card and this card falls into the "I love it so much I am sending it to myself" bracket! Do you ever get that???

I had some of the Tea for Two papers left over from our training, the ones with the script patterns on and I thought these would be perfect for the backing of our card - like First Edition but with a splash of colour and a few pictures. I LOVE the Dress Up framelits and have seen so many inspirational ideas on the internet for these! For this card I created a "tag" template and decided to punch holes in and tie them together with the Island Indigo Sale-A-Bration ribbon - free with every spend of £45.

There is lots of Crumb Cake inking on this card so the daubers were in full force last night - I think I need some new ones for next time :)

It was only after I took the photo I realised the necklace was hanging off - she has now been corrected and is all ship shape again! The little bow on the the dress is created using the fork technique. If you have never seen it before then check out You Tube!

The sentiment is from Delightful Dozen.

So a special card needs a special little box so was also made this to house the card!

Whilst the ladies were crafting away I also faffed about with this gift tag and made some extra flowers and used the Oval Framelits to make the tag!

Hope you like my projects. If you want to come to class and learn new techniques then please do get in touch with me. Email address is at the top of my blog.

Another baby frame!

Hi there! Yipppeeee its the school holidays and we have all (except Robin) enjoyed a little lie in this morning!

Do you remember the baby boy box frame I made? Well when I delivered it to the Post Office the lady showed it to a customer who then wanted one for her granddaughter and paid me there and then!!!! So here is the girly version!

I kept most of it the same, just in Pretty in PInk and So Saffron instead! The lady said she has her bedroom with owls so I have added 2 little owls from the Aviary stamp set.

Hope you like it! Which do you prefer the Pink or the Blue?

Another great day!

Phew I am a little bit whacked this morning!!! Yesterday was a full on day and running 2 All Dayer events back to back has been hard work but yesterdays Customer Event went really really well!! I was joined by 19 lovely ladies all keen to have a guilt free crafty day with lunch provided (and of course a cupcake). The days project was this Card Keeper Box which I have shared with you last weekend and the links where I originally found it! This is my version in metric measurements. I have made 2 in different papers so you can see the different effects.

The ladies had half a pack of Tea for Two papers included in their bags and lots of other items to use on the day and take home with them.

My poor little car really gets tested to its limits on these days as I try and ram all the items into the car to transport to the church!! Here is my boot full!!

And the poor back seats!! The front seat was full too - no chance of giving anyone a lift!!

I was at the hall early so spent some time sorting out my display areas.

My lovely friend Mel did the food for us again and of course the cupcakes! I didnt even tell Mel what the them of our day was and it was pure luck (or telepathy) that she used a colour similar to So Saffron that we were using for our projects!!

I will share a few of the photos of the ladies projects! Here is Barbara's box - it was lovely to finally meet Barbara in person - thank you for coming Barbara!

I think this is Liz's box and cards.

Here are Elaine's makes

And here we have the other Barbara's make!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you to my lovely ladies for attending and supporting my Stampin Up business! Thank you to all those who stayed and helped me clear up at the end, to Fay who made us some lovely cakes and to my lovely Robin who came and cleared the tables away for me.

You might have thought after such a busy day that I would be straight into my PJ's when I got home? Oh no - we had our Dance Presentation night to attend and had to collect our trophies!! It was a fantastic night - topped off with both Evan and myself getting the top grade in the school in our respective categories!! So proud and happy!
