For my Grandma

Hello there
Firstly I want to thank people who have texted me, sent cards, left messages on here regarding my Grandma's death last week. I have turned a corner now and today is all about a celebration of her life. To make it to nearly 99 years is amazing so we are going to give her a great send off today!!
I suggested to my Mum that we printed some keepsake cards off for people who take time to come to the service today so my Mum gave me a photo and I came up with this
What a cute and lovely photo of her! It was taken almost 10 years ago when she was still able to look after herself etc but it really sums up her happy personality!

Goodnight, God bless Grandma Brown! x

Mini catalogue countdown - Fox and Friends and Sweet Pea papers

I can't quite believe it but my nephew Lucas is 1 in 6 weeks time, that has gone so quick!!!!
I offered to make a few invites for his party and my sister said she wanted a monkey theme!! Easy peasy I thought with the new Fox and Friends set!!
I have made a small pocket invitation and used So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip and Old Olive as my colour combo.

The strip of paper is from the brand new Sweet Pea paper pack. Its amazing!!! 48 sheets of 12x12 double sided paper in a stack pad for only £19.50!!! Brilliant! You get 24 designs, 2 sheets of each!! The stamp set is one of my faves from the mini catalogue (out on Thursday). I was so excited when I found out we were getting it as I have lots of childrens cards to make!!!! You get 7 cute animals for £14.95, brill value again!

Here is the inside of the invite, I have covered my sisters mobile number up as I didnt think she would want me giving it out online!!!!! The sentiment on the front is from Sincere Salutations and I have done the wording on my PC!

And here they all are! I only had 7 to make so it wasnt too bad, in fact I got them all done in an hour, very easy to do once you have your design!
Thats me off now, miserable day here again today so I am going to tuck myself up in the conservatoire and do some wedding stuff!

Its only another 3 days until the Mini launches on Thursday!!! I am very excited and I know my customers cannot wait too!!!
Here is a card I made for my Mum for Mothers Day using the Vintage Vogue set (which I am sure is going to be one of the best sellers!)
All the stamps you see on here, with the exception of the sentiment are from the set. It is fab value at £19.95 for 8 stamps, plenty of scope to make allsorts of projects!

The colour combo I have used Perfect Plum, Pale Plum and Mellow Moss which are the colours we will be using at my Greenhouse Garden class on 17th April (places still available)

Here is the arty farty angle.

Right must dash. I have got 50 service cards to print and assemble for my Grandmas funeral on Wednesday plus all the usual jobs!

Baby girl card

Good morning to you! This is a scheduled post as I have been up and off early to go and watch a Ballroom and Latin competition all day!!! I dont know if i mentioned but I am doing an exam in June and after that I will be able to enter comps too!! Not sure if I am up for that yet or not!!!
So here is a very quick simple baby card I made for our friends who had a little girl a couple of weeks ago.

The background is the Nursery Letters wheel in Pretty in Pink and then I have stamped the baby from All in the Family onto a background of wording from the set Nursery Neccessities

The sentiment "so happy for you!" is also from Nursery Neccessities too. The accent colour is So Saffron with some So Saffron striped grosgrain ribbon tied in a knot.

Sorry for such a short post it was late on Saturday night when I typed this!!! I have left Robin in charge with a list comprising of things like ironing the uniform and doing spellings and homework!! Lets see how much of it gets done!

Sneak peek new punch!!!

Todays card is a really simple card that I made for my friend Debbie for her birthday, she is a fab cardmaker so its hard making cards for her. I decided to just make a card to showcase the new Bird punch that is available from the new Mini Catalogue from Thursday!
If you would like a copy of the catalogue please drop me a mail!

The papers are from the Pink Flamingo range and I have used accent colours of Tempting Turquoise and Cameo Coral.
The flower is made from the 5 Petal punch

Used my Scallop Edge punch to jazz it up a little bit and added some doodling.

I love the sentiment from Occasional Greetings set, have used it so many times!

Back tomorrow, hope to see you then!

Sneak peek of a cute little monkey!

SOrry I am late today, I have had baby Lucas here today and he is a bit under the weather so no time for blogging!!
A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to attend some Stampin Up training at Sheffield and demonstrators usually swap cards or card fronts with other demonstrators!
Now I left mine to the last minute to see if the mini Pre order goodies arrived as I knew I wanted to use this cute little monkey!!!
I have stamped him 3 times and used the leaf from the new bird punch. The stamp set is called Fox and Friends and is available from me from next THursday 1st April.

The sentiment is from the Loads of Love accessories set, I thought it summed this card up!!

Arty farty angle,
Sorry for the quick post, I am exhausted! Had Lucas until 2 and then been to school assembly and then to my Mum and Dads new flat to help Mum clean the kitchen. My poor Mum has had the stress of movin house this week, aswell as everything else!!
Back tomorrow, promise!

The boy version!

Firstly I want to say a huge thank you for all the lovely comments you left for me about my Grandma. We knew that she would not have long left but it is still a shock and to be honest I am more upset for my Mum than anyone else, my Mum was a very devoted Daughter.
So onto a card! This is the boy version of one I did for Jenny on Saturday (I actually did the boy one first!) It uses colour combo of Night of Navy and Bashful Blue.
The papers are from the Level 1 hostess paper pack and of course the stamp sets are All in the Family, Circle of Friendship and Schoolbook Serif.

I have coloured Ben in with my marker pens and added some punched out stars!

Arty angle for you!

Well I finally got internet access tonight at 10pm!!! Apparently the virgin media lines keep getting vandalised!!!!!!!!

Sorry

Hi there
I am sorry for not posting the Blog Candy winner last night. My lovely Grandma passed away yesterday morning so its been a strange couple of days. I am trying to help with some of the funeral arrangements to take some of the burden off my Mum. My Grandma would have been 99 next month, a fantastic age but her last couple of years have been deteriorating for her. I have found it hard to go visit her these last couple of years as she wasnt the person I know! My Grandma was a very funny, outgoing and loving person who also LOVED to sing, I would like to think I have some of her characteristics. She adored her 6 children, 9 grand-children and 7 great-grandchildren.
We also have no phone line or internet access again at the moment so I am sat here at my Mum's on her internet, trying to sort out some music to play at the funeral.
I will hopefully be back tomorrow with a card for you and the blog candy winner.
Sorry if I have droned on, its quite nice to be able to write your feelings down on here!

A card for Jenny

Really quick post from me this morning - feeling a bit funny as Ross is going away with School for 3 days!! He is very excited but I know he is a bit scared too!!! Going to wave him off in a few minutes!
As promised here is the card I made for Jenny. I did a very similar one in boy colours on Friday so I will show that tomorrow. The colour combo is inspired by a really bright wedding order that I got!! Only Orange and Pink Passion!
All in the Family set coloured in with my markers and stamped name with Schoolbook Serif (whats new????) and added a scalloped border.

Sentiment is from CIrcle of Friendship and the Number is from Schoolbook Serif numbers, all punched out with the circle punches and layered up onto the scallop circle punch.

I also added the hearts from the Heart to Heart punch to jazz it up a bit!!!!!

Hope you had a lovely birthday weekene Jenny!!

Right I am off to get my tissues ready

Cupcake Crazy

ARRRGGGGHHH (thats me screaming!)!!! I have had no internet of phone since Friday evening! Just came back on this morning!!! Rubbish!!!

So yesterday was my Cupcake Class in the afternoon. I had 8 ladies (plus my son Ross) who came to make the bag below and 4 cards!
When they arrived they were greeted with all there bits and bobs for the cards in these cute cupcake gift bags that I picked up at the wholesalers I go to!

We had a birthday girl too!! Jenny is 9 today so she needed spoiling a bit!! (well to be honest I think she is being spoiled all weekend!) so I had bought cupcakes from the Cupcake shop near where I live and had a special one for Jenny!

Here she is with her Cupcake complete with candle!!! We turned off the lights and sang to her (I think she was a bit embarassed!!!)

Here are the cupcakes, yummmmmmyy!

And here are all the lovely bags that my lovely ladies made!

Thanks for coming girls, hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!!!

Special First Birthday card!

WARNING - Long post with lots of photos!!!
Well today I have no internet until 3.30pm again!! Dont know whats going on with it but I seem to get much more done when I cant get online!!!!
Todays card is one I am really pleased with. Sometimes I make a card I am really proud of and this is one of them!!!
I had a few punched animals spare after demoing them twice last week at Sheffield so I turned them into a card! My friends little boy is 1 next week so it was the perfect card for a little boy!
The colour combo is Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie and So Saffron. I made a box as the card is very thick with the animals and I used the card from the back of the paper packs as its so nice and thick for making boxes!

SO here is the card, with the cheeky lion and the naughty monkey!!! The papers are Bashful Blue and Pumpkin Pie Designer papers

The number 1 is from the Schoolbook Serif Number set punched out with the 1 3/8 punch and the Scallop Circle. Sentiment is from A Bit of Birthday Cheer

I just love that thick stripe grosgrain ribbon!

Another angle!

I used the star punch and added so Pumpkin Pie buttons to match

I hope you like it, would love to hear your thoughts!!!!
Right I am going to finish sorting out my bags for tomorrow Cupcake class! If you are coming I have a little treat in store for you!
