Birthday Girl!

Good morning!!

Hope you enjoyed my little owl cards yesterday!! Today I am sharing a card I made for my niece Amanda. She isnt a young girl, she is in fact 35!!! Robin became an Uncle when he was only 6 himself!!!

Anyway here is the card I made and I used a colour combo from the Colour Coach of Regal Rose, Daffodil Delight and Chocolate Chip.

I decided to use Every Little Bit as I love the little images. Went for a fairly simple layout and coloured the images in with my marker pens.

Added a piece of this gorgeous striped grosgrain ribbon and tied it in the middle with a piece of the thin taffeta.

I also stamped a little handbag inside the card !

Hope you likey!!

Fun on a Tuesday!

Well WHAT A HOOT I had last night!!! We had such a laugh at our Tuesday Club last night!! Honestly I say this all the time but these ladies are a pleasure to spend a Tuesday night with!! Since moving to the church we have grown and I am lucky that 11 lovely ladies were there last night including the lovely Gill, a new member!! Welcome Gill!

Last night we were making owl cards, on the ladies request as they cant get enough of Mr Owl at the moment! So I teamed it with the Curly Cute sentiment set and we used 4 out of the 5 sentiments

Here is the rogues gallery!!!

Firstly a congratulations card for someone graduating or passing exams

I love the little scroll detail!!

This was my favourite one, I saw something similar on a US blog a few weeks back but I have changed various things on it to make this Santa Owl!!

Next up is one you have seen before, I sent it as a birthday card to my nursing friend Michelle but for this card I changed it to a Thinking of You card for someone who is ill.

And finally a general Happy Birthday card which I have blogged before. I have had a lot of comments on this card from the ladies at class so I decided they could make one too!!

I hope you have enjoyed our projects. I was very touched last night when my ladies gave me this gorgeous bouquet of flowers for my upcoming birthday!!!!! Thank you Jane for organising it, I really appreciate it and they look lovely in my lounge!

Right I must crack on, have to go to Asda

Workshop projects

Last week I went to a workshop with a new group of ladies and had a great time

These were the projects I demonstrated. The simple bag in the middle which you will have seen on my blog before and all the ladies also made the card on the right.

This design was based on a gorgeous welcome card we were given at Prague on the first night

One of my demo cards came off a bit worse for wear as it had an accident with an inkpad so I decided to cover it up by wiping the textured card all over with a sponge dauber and the Concord Crush in and this is the effect

I also showed the ladies an alternative card where they could add extra product to make it

Hope you like the projects and thank you to Anne for hosting the workshop

Birthday Boy card!

Good morning, its a cracker here in Yorkshire!!

This was the card I made for my lovely hubby Robin last week. I must admit it was a bit of a rush job!!

I used the Engraved Greetings after my lovely downline Sarah-Jane inspired me as she uses it loads. I coloured it with the markers and the colour combo is Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise and Chocolate Chip
I added some Old Olive striped grosgrain ribbon with a brad from the Hodgepodge Hardware set and inside got a bit of big shot action as I embossed some stars and added them!

Arty farty angle!!

Last night Evan and I picked up our certificates and grades for our dance exams back in March!! We both passed and Evan passed all of his with HONOURS!!!! He got 95% for his Samba!!!! I am so proud of him (even though he got better marks then me!!!!!!)

Back tomorrow

Perfect Prague Scrapbooking

Good morning, its a quick post from me today as I am on my way to dancing with Evan in 5 minutes.

Last night I had a lovely scrapbook class with 5 of my ladies and I have another 6 ladies today!! The theme this time was a bit broader and I just said VIntage and to bring black and white photos if possible. We are using the Springtime Vintage papers, seam binding and buttons.

I decided to scrap my photos of Prague after having such a wonderful time. Looking at the layout I think I should add another flower under the word Perfect.

I used the Notably Ornate set for the first time and stamped the frame and added some journalling.
We used the Broadsheet alphabet and I showed the ladies how to make a ribbon rose using the seam binding ribbon.

Hope you like my layouts

Off to dance

Back to business!!

Well I must say its been really hard to get my head out of the Prague clouds!! But it has been a week since we were there so I am attempting to knuckle down to normal business!! SO far this week I have had a craft session with the Brownies and a workshop with a new group of ladies and tonight and tomorrow I have my Scrapbook clubs.

On Tuesday it was Robin's birthday and I must say I was a bit lastminute.com with the cards. This is the one I made from the boys. Its one of my favourite colour combos for men, Bashful Blue, Old Olive and Soft Suede.

I used a Soft Suede card blank and then some DSP from the Subtles stack in Bashful Blue. I had the idea to create a Ross and Evan in the bunting and was really pleased how it turned out! Didn't realise though until I saw these photos that one of the "d's" is smudged!!

The sentiment is from Curly Cute and the one at the bottom is from the Level 1 Hostess set Afterthoughts! Punched out with the Decorative Label and then layered another one up around it.
Hope you like my card, must admit I really enjoyed making this one!

Perfect Prague - Day 3

Thank you again for all your lovely comments!! It really feels like I am reliving the experience through my blog when I read your comments!!!

So onto Day 3! By this point the fatigue was setting in with me!! After a huge adrenaline high on the make and take night with the aprons and the products we got chance to have a bit of a relaxing time on the Saturday as it was "Free Time"!!

We had breakfast and then met in the Hospitality area. I loved it here and could have spent hours there drinking coffees and eating the gorgeous sweets from the glass jars!! And of course who could forget Spin the Wheel!! Every day we got to have a go on the wheel to win a prize!! WE LOVED IT!!!!

This was my last ever spin (for this trip anyway!)

And here is my lovely friend Jo on the wheel!

After that Natalie set us up with a photo shoot in the corridor in the hotel! We did get a few odd glances and I had jaw ache after all the smiles!! Our country manager took this photo on everyones camera for us! I got to be at the front because I was the shortest (whats new!)

We then had a wander into the city and decided on a boat ride! I enjoyed watching the girls haggling with the guys trying to sell the boat trips!! Her is the wonderful Michelle having a glass of vino on the boat!
And here is Michelle, Monica and Jo. It actually got quite chilly on the boat, I should have had a hot chocolate!! It was so funny when the boat docked as the tannoy system played My Heart will go On from Titanic!!! ha ha ha!!

So we went back to our rooms after a lovely lunch and it was time to shower and scrub up into our best clobber for the Cocktail dinner! We had no idea where we were going and we were transported to the Palace of the Archbishop of Prague within Prague Castle!! Very posh for a girl from Yorkshire!!!!! I have to thank Bekka for taking this photo of me on my camera! With the opulent surroundings I feel like I am in Hello magazine!

Here I am with Monica, loved her striped dress, with its quirky hemline - fab!

After we did some photos the French girls sat Jerome (their manager) in the chair and started blowing kisses at him, was so funny!

So we laid Frank Manu (our mascot) on the chair and did the same (if you click the photo you should be able to enlarge it).
All of a sudden they announce we could go into dinner!! OMG look at the room that greeted us!! Stunning, took my breath away
We had our own little chamber orchestra in the corner!

Starter - I was Veggie again as the Starter was fish.

Shelli talking to Jo.

Now I have to tell you this gorgeous lady Shelli does not forget a THING!! Last year in Monaco she heard that I could sing and asked me to, I didnt want to so I just said "I'll do it next year in Prague", just to put her off really!! Well guess what, as soon as she saw me in Prague she asked me to sing!! I tried to put it off again but on the last night she collared me and asked me to sing before the blessing so I agreed!! Gosh I was nervous but I knew the girls would be behind me. I sang a verse and a chorus from the song For Good from Wicked (if you You Tube it you can find it). I think I made a few people cry, hope it was for the right reasons - the lyrics are so meaniful and emotional
After all the emotions of a fantastic evening we headed back to the hotel and I asked all the UK girls to come back to my room, I was so busy making sure the room was tidy that I almost missed this on the bed!!!!! I let out a gasp!!! OMG a Sizzix Doctors Bag for the Big Shot

With its very own Prague logo!

I love Stampin Up, and am enjoying the best times of my life with this company, my team and my wonderful customers!!

Thank you to those who make it possible!
