Where has the week gone?

Cannot believe its over a week since I have blogged!!! I have made quite a few cards but my husband has "misplaced" the battery charger so I have no batteries for my camera to take any piccies!!!

Been busy working this week and also had some wedding stuff to do aswell as rehearsals for The Full Monty. Its going really well, I hope the audience enjoy the whole show and not just the last 5 minutes!!!!! I know its going to be weird when we see them "do it" for the first time!!!!!!

Well it was my craft buddys birthday today so popped round with a card and pressie for Natty. you can see them on her blog as she has at least got a working camera!!!!!!
Anyway I thought I would upload images of my craft room to join in with Jo's blog candy at Only Joking
So here is my little haven!!!! My desk is from Ikea, and the unit clamps onto the top of the desk. White bookcases are both from Ikea too. You can just see my stamp shelves on the left.

Hopefully should have something to show tomorrow!!!

Papertakes Thanks Challenge

I am trying to get into the challenges but I never seem to get one done before the challenge has changed and we are another week on!!!

So here is my contribution for this weeks thank you card challenge.
I decided to carry on and use my new Simpy Sayings from Craftwork Cards. All products are from Craftwork Cards
I have cuttlebugged 2 scallop squares using the spots and dots embossing folder. I then chalked them randomly in pink and black, scored them about 1cm in and punched 3 holes and tied with sparkle ribbon. Added a Simply Saying and chalked this and stickled and fixed with foam pads.

Simply Sayings

I have been making a couple of cards with the brand new Simply Sayings from Craftwork Cards, these are exclusively designed for Craftwork Cards by Paula Pascal.

They are lovely to work with and add a touch of class to designs and are what they say, just simple sayings!! Simply gorgeous!!

For this card I have gone for the monochrome look, the card is A6 from Craftwork Cards, covered in white shimmery card which I have cuttlebugged, added some Sparkle ribbon (CWC) and a Simply Saying which I have chalked in black around the edges and stickled. Very simple card.

It is one of the ladies at Craftwork Cards birthday this week so I thought I would make a card for her, I have used a Size 5 card from Craftwork Cards (herein known as CWC!!!) , a scallop square from CWC which I have cuttlebugged and chalked then added the Simply Saying which I have chalked and stickled and tied with baby pink grosgrain ribbon.

Thats all for now

More Mother's Day

Well I made 12 of these babies last night, all similar but each one slightly different. These were inspired by a card in the latest Beautiful Cards magazine, it is by Julie Hickey. All the cards are made using 15cm square card blanks and Enchanted papers by Craftwork Cards. Sentiments from Craftwork Cards and ruffles from CWC too!! Most of the cards have some stickles on some place or other, just to make a change!!!!!

This first one is almost a replica of the card in the mag apart from the colours, I put one of CWC ruffles through my Cuttlebug.

Again, very similar but added diamante buckle.

For this one I added some grosgrain ribbon threaded through a sentiment and added a butterfly sentiment too.

For this one I got a bit more ambitious!!! I did not have a black ruffle (I don't think you can get black ones!) so I used my new super duper scallop square punch and punched out 2 squares in black. I then ran these through my Cuttlebug and stuck them together. I sneakily tied the pink ribbon around the join and it looks like all one piece!! I also got a bit Cuttlebug happy and decided to Cuttlebug the flowers, I love this effect.

Finally, (are you fed up yet?), here is another with Cuttlebugged flowers and I added some extra little flowers on the ruffle.
Below is a close up of those cute flowers!!!

Ooo, I forgot, brads ar Dovecraft.
Thats it for now, won't bore you with all 12 of them!!

Papertake weekly challenge

Thought I would get ahead as Mother's Day is very early this year, 2nd March so made this for the challenge. Using bling on your cards!!
I dont know what you call this type of card, I first learnt it on a workshop with the fab Julie Hickey at Craftwork Cards and I have used it for varying different occasions.
The card is made by cutting 3 tag shaped cards and tying them together with ribbon.
This is one view of it

View from the front of the card
Made using Enchanted papers from Craftwork Cards, ribbon from Craftwork Cards, letters cut on Cricut and stickled.

Hope you likey
