Yes we have a saying in our house! "Stampin Up - handy for homework!" My youngest son Evan has a Learning Log to do every half term. These are extended projects in a larger exercise book and are often difficult dependent on the subject matter! Last time it was all about the artist Lowry - I left Robin to that one! Evan leaves primary school in July so we won't have many more of these to do! The teacher asks that they do their projects as creative as possible - I can help with that!!! This time Evan had to write about a Yorkshire tourist attraction and it took us nearly 2 weeks to decide! I put it to him that we did about The Deep in Hull as I had pictured how cute we could do some punch art sea creatures! And here is the finished piece!!!
I used the new fringe scissors, which came in very handy at just the right time, to create some seaweed and lots of ovals and circles for the pebbles/rocks. We had the idea of using white card in circles for bubbles and writing the facts about the attraction in the circles.
Evan helped loads with this, after all it wasn't MY homework! He did all the Big Shotting, punching and he inked every single thing! I just assembled them all for him and did any fussy cutting that was required.
We are really pleased with the finished result and he takes it into school today. If I have any teacher readers out there do leave me and more importantly Evan a comment as we would love to know what you think.
Have a great Friday!
