Fabulous time!

Yesterday afternoon I spent a great afternoon at the lovely Elaines house doing a Stampin Up workshop. I took one of my lovely customers and friend Vicky with me, thanks for the directions Vicky and thanks for your help too!!

This is the simple Make and Take that we did using the Sale A Bration set Happy Moments and the Polka Dot background stamp.

I also demoed this lovely little treat pouch which I saw on Michelle Last's blog. Thank you for the video Michelle, love demoing this! And the fact that I had a few of my favourite Lindor balls left was a bonus!!!

Papers are from the Jackpot set and the sentiment is from One of a Kind

The choccies are actually mini egg versions of those lovely Lindor balls! I love the Lindor balls, I think they have become very popular lately!!!! Yummy!

Whilst shopping in Sainsburys on Friday I was looking for some new slippers and came across these!!! Oooooo TAKEN WITH TEAL I thought, and bought them!!! Does anyone else do that?? See things in Stampin Up colours!!! Show me your pics if you do!!

Right lots to do today and also got my dance class - Yippee!!

A lovely week of classes

Apologies for the higgeldy piggeldyness of todays post, Blogger was being a bit naughty this morning!

Yeah its Friday!!! Yipppee!!

I have had a really lovely week so far this week!! Managed to get quite a bit of wedding work done aswell!

On Tuesday night I had 8 lovely ladies attend my Love You Much class, see pic below which is my room all prepped and ready!!! We had a laugh as usual aswell as making our projects. At the moment the Tuesday night classes are FULL, but sometimes the odd place may be spare, I will update my calendar if this is the case.

OK so this is my new layout for 8 people at my classes, its very cosy but we managed!

At the moment on a Thursday I just had 3 lovely ladies attend! One of them is brand new to crafting - MY MUM!!!!

Never thought she would like it but she has really enjoyed it!

Here she is with her dimensionals!! She keeps getting mixed up with the names of everything and called them Directionals!!

My Mum didnt want to do hearts on the box so instead she used the flowers from Simply Said and made it into a gift box for my Aunty for her birthday! Here are all my Mums projects!

Whilst the ladies were bust making I managed to experiment with a card and I did the mini pocket card but this time I embossed in white onto the Real Red card, I love the brightness of the white!

Yesterday I had a huge Stampin Up order delivered which was for one of my Stampers 10 clubs!!!! Luckily most of the girls live close by so they come and collect but I though you might like to see the huge pile of products I get to sort through!!!

Right its supermarket shop this morning!!!

See you tomorrow

My lovely team!

As you know I have a Stampin Up team called Julie's Jems! I wanted to send them a gift for Christmas but struggled to find something I liked. I wanted to get them something sparkly that we can all wear when we get together to people will know who we are!!
I also wanted to thank them for all their hard work and for being the bestest bunch of girls ever, I truly am lucky to have such a fab bunch and I value each and every one of them! A couple of them got theirs in person but for the others I wanted to send a surprise through the post!
Here are the ones I posted out!!! I made a sizzix shaker box for them all and used the papers and colour scheme from the SUnny Day kit (again!)
And her is the little surprise inside! A very sparkly brooch full of lovely gems for my lovely Jems!!

The view inside the box! Luckily I had some hot pink tissue paper from my wedding favours so this came in very handy!

I had to quickly make a simple little gift card for them too!

The finished package!

The closure was made by sticking some Pumpkin Pie ribbon underneath the card and then attaching it round a rhinestone brad!
Thanks girls, you truly are the best and I can't wait to see you wearing your brooches!
If you would like to be a Jem and join my team you too could have one of these! Just mail me at the address on the top of my blog for more info!

Marker Share

3 PLACES TAKEN ALREADY - ONLY 1 PLACE LEFT!
Do you love the Stampin Up markers but you cannot afford to spend £99.95 in one go???
I am running a marker club! I need 4 people for 4 months!
Each month you will spend £24.95 and get one set of markers. I will order the full case and split them up between the 4 people each month.
What is the benefit??
  • You get to only pay £24.95 a month (plus £2.00 p&P) rather than £99.95 in one go
  • One of the months you will receive the storage holder for them (as shown below). The storage holder is only available when you purchase the full set
  • On the month you get the holder you can choose to place an extra order of £50 to take you up to hostess benefits (this is totally optional)
  • I will give each person from the club a free Sale A Bration set of their choice!

I will start the club as soon as I can, hopefully by the end of January!
If you would like more info please contact me asap!

Two birthdays!

Happy Wednesday to you!
Last night I had a lovely card class - Love You Much - with 8 fabulouse ladies! - HELLOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Yesterday it was also my craft mate Natalies birthday so on Monday I made this card for her. Its a criss cross card with Pretty in PInk, Regal Rose and Basic Black. I have used the Flight of the Butterfly set!
Stamped all over the outside with the small butterfly in Pretty in Pink. Added some regal Rose ribbon with Black gingham over the top.
Arty farty angle!

Inside I stamped a few butterflies flying about!!
Today it is the lovely Jenny Moors birthday, I met Jenny at convention and am also looking forward to spending time with Jenny in Monaco!!! Happy birthday Jenny!
I decided to add a bit extra black onto Jenny's card so I added the Eyelet border trim! I am not sure if I like it though as it reminds me of a black bra!!!!!
Arty farty angle!!!

And again inside I stamped a few butterflies!

Hope you both have had lovely birthdays.
Got to dash and finish mty coffee and then shower time!

A Lovely Afternoon

Yesterday afternoon I had the pleasure of running the FLight of the Butterfly class in my conservatoire with 5 lovely ladies - hi!!!!!!!
This is the project we made courtesy of the lovely Jenny Moors. All the ladies enjoyed the class and not too many mishaps!!!
Here are the lovely cards inside the box

I have changed the tables in my room to make better use of the space and can now accommodate 8 people. This is one view of the room showing how I can seat 4 people.

And then the other end of the room. The table was turned round as I only had to fit 2 people there today. Will see how it works turned out when I have 8 on Tuesday night!

As you can see it was a lovely sunny day so we had lots of natural light in the room to make our cards. My lovely Robin made buns for the ladies, I think they now prefer his baking to mine!!! What did he make - well Butterfly buns of course, but we had them muffin style!

Thats it for today, I want to thank my lovely ladies for attending, some of them are back on Tuesday night too!!!
Off for another dance today!

Helping Haiti with Stampin Up

Stampin′ Up! demonstrators have a long history of making a difference in the lives of others--especially when disaster strikes and the need is greatest. So it was not surprising that so many demonstrators have contacted us in the past week asking what the plan is for helping to provide relief for those who continue to suffer from the effects of the earthquake that struck Haiti on 12 January.

Here is the plan:

From now until 28 February, 2010, £1 from every Greenhouse Gardens stamp set that I sell will be donated American Red Cross’ International Response Fund. The Red Cross is already well-established in Haiti, and this money will be used to provide immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance and other support to help those in need.

This is an offer from Stampin Up, they are paying the £1 per set but I am also offering to match the offer and send £1 for every set I sell . So £2 per set will go straight to the relief fund.

Here are a selection of cards made with the set

Stampin Up in the USA have also been helping the fund in other ways. They purchased supplies for 5000 emergency kits and the staff spent time packing them all this week to get them sent off. If you would like to see more about this you can read Shelli Gardner's blog here
Please contact me asap if you would like to order the set and help the fund. I will be placing an order this weekend and also next weekend then further orders throughout February.

Thanks for your help!

Yeah its Friday!!! Big sleep in tomorrow!!!

OK, todays card is one from my up and coming Cheers to You class - Tuesday 9th Feb and Thursday 11th Feb. One of the ladies requested a mens card so I went with this one.
The card incorporates the Jackpot papers which are really growing on me. The colour combo is Basic Black, Real Red and So Saffron.

The sentiment used is from A Bit of Birthday Cheer and stamped onto some So Saffron card. The Beers have been coloured in with my marker pens!! I am going to let my ladies loose with my beloved markers!!!!

Arty farty angle!!!!
Sorry for the quick post again, its 8:05 and I should be getting boys ready for school!!!

Anniversary birds!

On Sunday its my Mum and Dads anniversary, they will have been married for 37 years! I thought I would plan ahead and make their card, then yesterday my Dad sneakily asked me if I would make a card for Mum from him so I have another to do now!!
Stamp set used is of course Love you Much and a colour combo of Real Red and White with Kraft cardstock
I have paper pieced the birds using the jackpot papers (seen lots of demos do this and thought it looked fab) and then added some Real Red striped grosgrain and lots of hearts using the matching Heart to Heart punch

Went a bit mad with the hearts!!!

Arty farty angle!!!!

Right must dash, need to get boys dressed for school and I need to get ready.

Back tomorrow

Jules

P.S If you are in the LEEDS area I have 4 places left on my Flight of the Butterfly class on Saturday afternoon. See the calendar on my sidebar for more info
