Blooming with Beauty

Only 2 days until the new Stampin Up Catalogue goes live!!!!! Please mail me if you would like to buy a copy!
This set isnt one of the new ones in the catalogue but it is new to me and I had a little play with it last THursday when I went to visit one of my new lovely ladies, Kate!
It is called Bloomin with BEauty and is a lovely set if you like flowers and watercolouring. You cannot see it very well but I have stamped the background card with the flower head in the same Real Red colour befored layering my chocolate chip paper and ribbon on!
The sentiment is from the Sincere Salutations set and punched out with the Oval punches, what did I used before those!!

I have stamped the image twice and then layered up the flower head for added dimension

I only took one photo at my card class on Saturday and here it is! 3 of my ladies, all who were new to my classes. Thanks for coming ladies and hope you had a nice time!

Back tomorrow with another card and a countdown to the new catty!

Friday Catch Up and a competition

Loads to tell you today!! So beware its a long post!!!
Well its only a few days until the new catalogue, more of that later.
Here is another card using the Mr & Mrs but I have gone for a softer look for this Diamond Wedding Anniversary Card. I stamped the images in Basic Gray, a softer alternative to black and then I used the new 2 way glue pen and Dazzlin Diamonds and plenty of it!!!!
The card certainly sprarkles and I must have got the glitter all over me as 2 Mums at school commented about me having glitter on my face!!!

The card is for some good friends of my parents and my Mum was really pleased with it when she collected it this evening!

Today my big boy Ross has been on a school trip to learn about World War 2. He is really fascinated on the subject and had to dress up as an evacuee!!! He had to have a new name as most of the kids names are too modern so for today he was John Wilkinson! His teacher came up to me tonight and told me how he had really got into it, they had to do role play for the whole day and assume the role of an evacuee and she said Ross was fab!!! (must get the acting from me!!)
Here he is before school. I had to quickly make him a pretend Gas Mask box last night!!!!

Now I have a little competition for you. Can you name 3 Stampin Up items that I have used to help decorate Ross?????????? Anyone who guesses correctly will be put in a hat to win A NEW SU CATALOGUE. If you already have one I will sort something else out for you!

Tomorrow is the first of my new term of card classes after a break for the summer! I have been baking this afternoon in prepartion and we will be making a box and 4 cards using the Fresh Cuts set as shown below!

Hopefully back tomorrow with piccies from the class

Wedding Card commission

Hello!
This is the last card from my friends list of cards!
She wanted a special wedding card with the bride and grooms name on
This is my favourite non SU wedding stamp
I made a trifold card using Cream Stardream card that I use for my wedding stationery and used my new Nesties to cut out the cards. I stamped the image in Stampin Up Basic Gray ink, its a lot nicer for some images as it gives a softer feel which is what I wanted to achieve on this card

Tied together with Bazzill spotty ribbon!

Off ot my first dance lesson tonight! Very excited but nervous!!
WIll be back tomorrow - cha cha cha

Apologies all round!

Firstly, apologies for not blogging yesterday, I do have cards to show, I just completely forgot!!!
I still cannot get over the events of Saturday and still keep singing Lady is a Tramp in my head at every given opportunity, I am dancing round the kitchen and everything! Good news is, its inspired me to do something I have wanted to do for years and that is ballroom and latin dance lessons, so I start tomorrow night!!!
My second apology goes to the lovely Anne in my team. Anne sent us all some bits for our regular Jems challenge and I just completely forgot to make the card and post it when we were supposed to. I felt really bad, so Anne, I am sorry and here it is, better late than never as they say.
Anne sent us the heart which was plain white so I used the Mr and Mrs stamp which I am obsessing over at the minute, all the other bits are from the kit Anne sent.

I love hot pink and black together and it has been the most popular colour combo for my wedding orders this year.

Arty Farty as usual!

See you soon

Strictly on Saturday!!!!

Oh my word! What a day Saturday was! I still cannot sleep properly and am on a high!!!!! Here are a few photos for anyone who is interested!
Me and Ray before the evening started. Ray was singing in the choir first so he didnt have his matching outfit on here!!!
The start of our dance, ready to go!!! My boys are in the checked shirts!

Galloping along the dance floor!

Bit of slow slow quick quick slow!

After the first time we had danced, waiting for the judges scores to find out who goes through to the dance off! We scored 36.5 out of 40, the highest score from the judges and make it to the last 3 and we have to dance again for the audience vote!!!!

The winning couple with the big trophy!!!!

Happy!!!!

Sorry these are so small, I pinched them from my friends facebook page!!!!! A lovely lady did my hair for me and made me feel like a princess!!!

Here is a little video for you of the second time we did the dance. It did go really well but this time we went a little bit wrong at the end, the audience was so behind us and my boys are cheering for me right at the beginning.
Enjoy!

Its D Day - Dancing Day!

I have never felt this nervous in my life! My stomach has been in knots since 8.30 last night when I watched the REAL Strictly COme Dancing!!!!!! I spent an hour pampering myself last night so even if I dance rubbish at least I might even look nice!! My eldest boy has just said to me "Mum are you going to look the part?" Hmmmm not sure what he means!! I have told them to promise me that they will cheer so loud for me!!
I am sat here all ready to go but have 20 minutes to spare so thought I would update my blog to keep me occupied
Here is a card I made for an order for a wedding being attended by my friend and her sister, this is the card for her sister to give the couple, will show the other one on Monday

RIght thats me done, in an hour I will know what dance I am doing!!! Have decided I just need to make sure we have a fab day, chances like this dont come up often!

Dad Trifold

Another card from the order for my friend, this time a card for her Dad.
Colour combo is Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip and Pumpkin Pie. THe Close to Cocoa papers are only available until the end of the month!

I have coloured the beers in with the Stampin UP markers and used Pumpkin Pie, Summer Sun, Apricot Appeal and Barely Banana.

Here is the back of the card

Thank you so much for your good luck messages for me for Saturday! SOme of you know I am dancing in a Strictly Come Dancing fundraising event! There are 5 dancing couples (I am in 1 of them) and we turn up on Saturday morning at 9am not knowing until then which dance we are doing! It could either be Samba, Waltz, Quickstep or CHa CHa Cha. We then have all day to learn with a little help from a dance teacher and then we perform at 7.30!!

So I need good luck vibes from everyone, Saturday night at about 8ish!!!

Keeeeeeep Dancing!

More roses!

Thank you so much for the lovely kind messages you left about my boxed cards yesterday! I was very pleased with them myself but it means more to get such lovely comments! Thanks
Sticking with the Rose for todays card. My friend collared me in the playground on Monday morning and asked me to make her 2 Wedding Cards, a card for her Mum and a card for her Dad! So here is the card for her Mum
Regal Rose and Old OLive colour combo which I really love. I have used my nesties and the Alphalicious cricut cart. The papers are Sweet Always which retire at the end of this month - I am soooooooo going to miss them and have a couple of packs for my own personal use!!!!!

I glittered the Rose and added a Regal Rose bow

Arty farty angle

Right big couple of days ahead!!!! I am involved in something very very exciting on Saturday and I need to mentally and physically prepare. I will give you a clue, it involves a partner and a nice dress and a new series of it starts on Friday night!!!!!!!!! Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Back tomorrow but for now

Keep Dancing
