Team Welcome Pack

Hello there! Little lie in today here at Chez Kettlewell so I am just doing my blog following a lazy morning! Yesterday one of my new team members, Kate, came round for a little bit of training after joining Stampin Up a few days ago. I always like to make a welcome pack for my brand new recruits and here is Kate’s. I used the Painted Blooms papers which are so lovely I had to take a sharp intake of breath before I cut into them!
I used 2 of the pieces with the large pattern which means the project doesn’t need much more adding to it to look effective.  Here is what I include in the pack. A deep box file for paperwork, a decorated journal for training notes, a colour chart, a handmade card and a short guide to being a demonstrator and a member or our team - Julie’s Jems.
The journal is one of our large Kraft Journals and they are so easy to decorate with some patterned paper and a little ribbon.
The card used more of the paper and some Blackberry Bliss ribbon and the Hello You thinlits.
Welcome to the team Kate, I know you are going to enjoy your Stampin Up journey with us.

If you have been pondering joining or simply have some questions then I am planning an Opportunity Evening at my home on Thursday 26th March from 7pm. Come along for a play in my craft den and to find out about becoming a demonstrator with Stampin’ Up! in an informal setting.

Sheltering Tree

Sheltering Tree has been one of my top selling stamp sets since the new Spring/Summer Catalogue launched in January and its a great set to have in your crafting stash. Such a versatile set but until today I hadn’t shared a card with you on here using it! This is a card we made at our Stamp a Stack event last month and it long overdue for sharing on here. So overdue in fact, that I have my next Stamp a Stack this evening!
I made this as a Valentine card and used the hearts stamp from the Perpetual Birthday Calendar stamp set which is great for backgrounds. The sentiments and fonts in this set are really nice and I decided to cut this one up into pieces to arrange on my card.
A little Crisp Cantaloupe Bakers Twine just finishes this card off!
We are making another card using this set tonight at class!

Big Day

Hello there and welcome to my blog today. Today I am sharing a card I made with a stamp set you can still earn for FREE until the end of March. I can’t believe we only have 4.5 weeks of Sale-A-Bration left this year, it’s gone so quickly. This stamp set has been one of my favourites from the offering this year and I loved making this card at our Stamp a Stack event last month. There is no ribbon or dimension on this card so its perfect for posting and keeping the cost of postage down!
The colours I used are Blushing Bride, Soft Suede and Crumb Cake, with Whisper White card stock too. I coloured the cake and the wording in with the ink pads and the Blender pens, a technique I still enjoy and find really quick to do.
So what do you think? You like?
This was the most popular chosen freebie set on the night of my Stamp a Stack so I guess my ladies liked it too! I have another Stamp a Stack event this Friday evening with a couple of spare places if you would like to pop along! Just drop me a mail and I will send you the details.

Baby Card

Good Morning. Thank you for your comments on here and on Facebook about yesterdays cards! It was one of those cards that I was very pleased with myself too! Today I am sharing a card I made a while back for my new baby Niece who was born prematurely. When a new seasonal catalogue comes out it’s easy to forget about the wonderful main catalogue and the fab items we have in there and I just LOVE this cute little stamp from the Bundled Baby set.
It’s a small enough image for it to be not too difficult to colour in with the Blendie pens.
Of course I added some Pink Pirouette Seam Binding ribbon on this card as it was crying out for a pink bow!
Short and sweet today, just like the card (hopefully). I’d better get dressed and get on with my work today.
