Flowerpot Card

Hello there! Yet again I was missing from my blog yesterday. If you are one of my Facebook business page likers you may have seen why! For the last few weeks I have been in liaisons with the BBC Strictly team! A few weeks ago I applied for a quiz show they are doing on the It Takes Two program to find Strictly’s Biggest Super Fan. Well they had over a thousand entries and I was short listed a couple of weeks ago. I got a surprise call from a researcher who chatted to me and then totally put me on the spot and asked me 20 strictly related trivia questions! Talk about being thrown in at the deep end but I believe I got 15 out of 20!!! They said they would let me know before the end of the month and skip to Tuesday this week when I got another phone call asking me more things about myself including a 15 minute Skype interview that was filmed so the producers could see me. They said the final decision would be based on my trivia answers and the Skype call. On Wednesday afternoon I got another call saying I had been successful and I was now in the final 8 and will be going for filming to the London Studios and I will be on It Takes Two!!! To say I am excited is an understatement but I am also very very scared too and also swotting up big time on my Strictly knowledge! Did you know there have been 162 contestants in the 12 series!!!

OK so that’s why I have been pre-occpied for a couple of days! Back to some crafting. This was the final project of a set of 3 from Tuesday Club a few weeks ago. I also demonstrated this card and helped the ladies at the Flower Club that my Mum attends make a few weeks ago.
I made a template for the flower pot and drew around it twice and then stuck them both together very carefully with a really fine line of Tombow. Obviously I didnt glue around the top as the flowers need to slide out as demonstrated below. Once you have the template made its really easy to make a few of these up.
Right I am off back to my Strictly revision with a bit of crafting too!!!
Have a great Friday

Tuesday Club from way back!

Hello there! I have been a little haphazard with the blog this week due to spending time with my boys who are on school holidays.

Today I am sharing a project we made ages ago at my Tuesday Club. This was made with the Flower Patch bundle and Papillon Potpourri plus the wonderful pre-made gift card enclosures!.
This has been tied (of course) with my fave gold ribbon on a belly band which slides off so you can open the card.
Which looks like this inside!
I hope you like this make and its a bit of a break from all the recent Christmas things I had been sharing prior to Convention!

Memory Keeping with Project Life/Stampin Up Design Team December Challenge

Hello there! Yes I am back sooner than expected with a Design Team challenge for the Memory Keeping with Stampin Up/Project Life Facebook group. We are working with the new products from the Autumn/Winter supplement. I have used the Hello December kit along with the 6x8 page protectors.

I decided to document some photos from our Christmas last year which was our first one in our new home!
I had a couple of houses already coloured in hanging about on my desk and thought it would look good just tucked down the side here.
Not sure if you can see but I added a little wooden star to the top of the Christmas tree
If you would like to see more inspiration make sure you head on over to my fellow DT members blogs!

Convention Day 4

So after a fun-filled and eventful Saturday evening in downtown Brussels we enjoyed a lie in on the Sunday morning and welcomed more sunshine. We spent some time packing our bags up and enjoying a leisurely breakfast before meeting a new friend of mine at 11am who had offered to give us a little tour of Brussels.
We met Anne at our hotel and she took us round Brussels and she automatically switched into Tour Guide mode! Anne lives in Brussels and her English is amazing.
We went down to the Grand Place which is the Central Square of Brussels and it houses some amazing buildings. Anne was telling us that lots of these fantastic buildings have apartments within them which people live in! Ooo wouldn’t you love to live there?
Anne showed us the best shops for macarons and the best shop for biscuits too!
Here is a photo of my friends! Anne, Sharon, Sarah-Jane and Jane
I loved the many gorgeous displays in the shop windows. As you can imagine there was chocolate everywhere!!
I treated Anne and my lovely friends to a drink at a local cafe and then it was time for our taxi to the Eurostar station and begin our journey home! It has been one of my most memorable Conventions and I am happy to say we are in Brussels again next year from 13 - 14 November. I would love to have you join myself and our team there next year!

Thanks for bearing with me with the Convention posts this week! I will be back tomorrow as normal with my usual crafting posts but might be a bit later than normal as it’s the school holidays and I will be taking advantage of a slower paced morning!
