Happy Birthday Karen!

As well as being the Royal Wedding today is another special day as its my lovely downline Karen's birthday! Karen was one of my first ever Stampin Up customers back in 2008 and she finally took the plunge to become a demonstrator herself last July!! Happy Birthday Karen

Now Karen has a lovely little doggie so I had to make her a dog themed card. This little doggie looks nothing like her little Westie but I am sure she will still like it!

I coloured the dogs, from the Every Little Bit set with Crumb Cake marker pen. The papers are from the Play Date range as I wanted a bright card

Arty farty angle!!

Hope you have a lovely day Karen, at least you get the day off work!!!!

Right I am off to snuggle on settee with my boys and watch the wedding!!!

Dancing Scrapbooking

Good morning! I am a bit earlier today!!!!

Last night I did a workshop for one of the Mum's from dancing. Amanda was keen to start Scrapbooking her daughter Amy's dance successes (and there are lots of them) so we arranged a workshop to get her friends involved. We had a good night and whilst I didn't convert everyone (yet!!) I think they all enjoyed having a go with the products.

Here are some photos I have of an album I have started for Evan. Its a 6x6 album and I have kept it very simple just using the Very Vanilla 12x12 cut down and the Brights colours for matting and layering

I have also used the Music Notes wheel all the way through the album. I can only show you a few pages as some of them have other children on and I am not sure its fair to publish their photos on the internet without permission!

I have also tried to just use 2 punches throughout the album too!

It's great because I have written all the dates down and it will be lovely to look back on in years to come!

This layout is similar to the one the ladies made but in a different colour way and without the buttons! I let them loose with my Rhinestones!

Hope you like the start of Evan's scrapbooking, leave me a comment to let me know!!!

Baby Blossoms Thank You Card

Gosh I am so late posting this today!! I have had a full on day today and its not over yet!!!!

This morning I delivered Peggy her very own Mr Big Shot which she bought from me a couple of weeks ago. I am offering a free class to anyone who purchases one from me in April and May but as Peggy can't get to the class I went over to see her to help her get set up!!! Needless to say I think she has a new friend and was rolling like mad this morning!! Then I called into see my lovely downline Sharon as she had some bits for me and I needed to drop her birthday card off, then I did a full grocery shop, called at Post Office, have come home and put all the shopping away, cleaned the kitchen (inc floor) and the bathroom and now its time to start tea!!! And the boys wonder what I do all day!! Phew!! No rest for me though as I am going to do a workshop tonight at Amanda's house who is one of the Mum's from dancing!

This is a card I made a few weeks ago before the catalogue was launched as I pre-ordered the set (one of the perks of being a demonstrator!!!). It is a simple-ish card but effective!!

Using the Baby Blossoms I stamped a background with the blossoms and the leaves and stamped a frame twice then I punched the middle out!! How cool is it that the Wide Oval punch fits inside the frame!!!

I stamped the sentiment inside and added a rose on the corner

I love this next card and I am afraid is a shameless full on CASE from the talented Caroline Skinner - I love her cards!! Hope you don't mind Caroline!

This time the frame was from the Four Frames stamp set

Well I had better get on with tea and then a quick shower and off to my workshop!!

Motorbike Birthday

OUCH - I ache so much from all the gardening yesterday but we did a good job, all the conifers got hacked to bits and I think we must have filled at least 16 bags for the tip!! I was on bagging and sweeping duty and my legs and back are very tender today!!! For those of you who know my garden we also finally got rid of the Wendy House too!!!!!! Still got the broken fence to mend yet though!!!!!!!

So todays offering is a male card with the fabulous motorbike stamp! This has been a very popular purchase for my customers so far this month, a great stamp to own for only £7.95.

The items used on this card were from a kit left over from one of my card classes.

I love the linen thread, it is so useful for lots of things!

I even stamped the image inside the card too!!

Well after todays gardening efforts I am rewarding myself with a full day of crafting!! I have the day all to myself as Evan has gone to the caravan with my Mum and Dad and Ross and Robin are going cricketing!! Don't think I have had a Saturday to myself since before the children were born!! Going dancing tonight with my lovely lovely dance friends too!!

See you tomorrow!

Sharing Scrapbooking

Phew - I am updating my blog to have a little rest! Have been outside "trimming" the conifers since 9.30 this morning and I am shattered already!!!!

I thought I would share with you some of the layouts my wonderful scrap club ladies did last Saturday. I didnt manage to get photos of all of them but here are a few for you!!

The theme was LOVE and the ladies got a kit with the Love Letters papers and some buttons, card and ribbon. We used Mr Big Shot of course and there were lots of flowers and letters going on!!!!

Here are Ginnette's 2 pages

I love how Peita has kept this simple and used the paper to its full potential, she even managed to do all her journalling!

Look at that gorgeous embossing!
I love Yvonne glam look in these photos, she makes me laugh every month at our club - lovely and very funny lady!!!
She took over the die cutting area with all these letters! I think I took this photo just has she moved her page!!
We also had a new lady - June - join us and she thought she wouldnt even get one page done but in fact she nearly finished the other one!! Thanks for joining us June!

Hope you have enjoyed these!! Back to the conifers for me!!

On Tuesday night we had our last card club in my Conservartoire!!! :)

I have decided to move the class to the Church Hall as I have a couple of new ladies wanting to start coming and we have outgrown the conservatoire!!!!
