Male Get Well Card

Good morning to you! It's Monday morning and I am sat with a cuppa at my dining table (looking out at the miserable weather) in peace and quiet! My boys slept out at my Sister's and a friend's house last night as Robino and I went to see Miranda at Sheffield Arena! Predictably we had SUCH FUN and it was great to see the full show after the aborted attempt I had a couple of weeks ago when seeing it with my son Ross in Leeds. He was taken ill and felt really bad so we had to come home! Luckily Mr K purchased the new tickets for me for Mother's Day! Thank you to those of you who left comments and emailed me on yesterday's blog post! It's lovely to know people are out there reading my blog worldwide and don't mind my little snippets of family life too, as well as the crafting posts!
As promised today I am back to craft sharing! This was a card I made last Monday for my Dad's friend Alan who was in hospital. You will see a LOT of male themed cards on my blog this month as it's Male Month and I try to do as many of them as I can! Alan used to be a joiner before he retired and every week him and my Dad (and a group of other retired chaps) help out doing odd jobs at the cricket club, like weeding, general maintenance and things like that. They then go to the pub for lunch and they call themselves The Last of the Summer Wine gang. For non-UK readers you may have to Google that! So basically I wanted the card to have an outdoorsy feeling to it too so I used Lovely as a Tree. Do you know that Lovely as a Tree is only one of 2 stamp sets that is still in our current Annual Catalogue since 2007 when we had our first catalogue? Think it's a keeper!
This card was made as part of our Team Challenge that my lovely Julie Wade creates for our team every week. For 12 weeks without fail she has come up with the most amazing colour combos and the creative energy within our team is at an all time high! Thank you Julie. This week's challenge was a little simpler and was simply Neutrals!

Hope you like today's make? I am off now as I have lots of preps to do for our big Team Training session on Saturday.
