How to make a tri-fold card

Hello there! I have a video for you today!! Woo hoo, I actually filmed 2 videos yesterday so I am hoping this is the start of things to come. Very exciting - why not head over to my You Tube channel HERE and subscribe to my video channel.

I have been making this type of cards for many years and get asked so often how to make them so I have done a video sharing the Metric dimensions.
I hope you enjoy the video and look forward to you sharing any cards you make with me.

  1. Thank you for this tutorial, Julie. It's a beautiful card that looks difficult, but now that you have shared the instructions it is quite easy, but looks like a million bucks! Again, thank you.

  2. I made one of these this weekend but with some trouble--could you post the measurements in inches please? I kept cutting the layered pieces wrong & having to re-do...US Stampin' Up cutter doesn't have cm markings on it but it looked like yours has both cm & inches so maybe you could post the measurements for me?
Love the card-thanks so much for sharing!

  3. I have had an anonymous comment from a lady asking for the measurements in inches. We mostly worked in cm in the UK so if you want inches then you simply have to divide the longest length of your card into 3! Simple as!

  4. I'm one of those American's who tried to convert to inches, but really messed up a piece of paper trying it. 11 1/2" isn't easily divisible by 3 so I took the easy way out and cut 1/4" off the short end, making the paper 11 1/4". That is easily divisible by 3. So score at 3 1/2", then follow Julie's directions and flip the card over and score again at 3 1/2" and it should fold in 3rds. I cut the white in 3 inch strips. I can't wait to finish my card. I'm going to try the new Cherry on Top designer stack with it. I think it's so cool that the Internet allows us to cross over the ocean while sitting in our living rooms.
