Memory Keeping with Project Life by Stampin' Up! - Hello Lovely

Hello there. I would say good evening to you but you may be reading this in Australia and it will be a totally different day for you!

Today is our June blog share, a week later as we needed to make sure our participants had taken delivery of the kit we are showcasing today. Today we are showcasing a kit I am so excited about, the Hello Lovely kit. Oh my word, the cards and designs in this kit are just stunning and I have got more things to share with you this week using the kit.

 As soon as I saw the cards in the flesh I knew I wanted to document Sarah's visit to Yorkshire before our cruise and our day out in York. Some of the photos I have used aren't the best of quality, particularly the selfies on the page above but they tell the story of our day and that is the most important thing. 

 I'm loving the black and white included in this kit with the pop of colour courtesy of Peekaboo Peach ,Old Olive and Soft Sky. I also love the watercoloured effect on the images and the wording.

 I don's usually add ribbon to my pages but decided to add a pop of Peekaboo Peach to the page below for a little bit of added interest. 

I really enjoyed making these layouts and the best thing is the memories are all still very fresh in my mind and it was so lovely to re-live them again already.

Memory Keeping with Project Life by Stampin Up Retired Kits

Hello there and welcome to our Memory Keeping with Project Life by Stampin Up Blogshare. Today there are 10 of us taking part in the share, I think that must be a record! We are showcasing the retiring Project Life kits, most of which are reduced in price between now and 31st May. I am using the Happy Times kit which is great for documenting photos of your kids and family activities.

I have used some photos from 2004 and done 3 pages to document this particular holiday at our favourite place in Wales. I love that in 3 pages I have the whole holiday documented in Evan's album and I have already made a start on the next on on the back of the last layout.

 I love the photos of Evan with his hood up in the pushchair and just had to use them all. As you can see from the photo below I had a portrait photo and only a landscape pocket so I chopped the photo up so I could include it all and I added it into the pocket below. It just takes a bit of careful cutting.

 As you may or may not know I now have a craft studio and most of my supplies are now at the studio, with the exception of my Project Life supplies which are squirrelled away in the cupboards of my former craft room, now known as The Snug! Well I do struggle sometimes with my pages as although I have PL stamps here I have no ink pads! So when it came to do the card in the top left of the photo below I really wanted to stamp a title in the gap between the spots but disaster no ink pads! I then searched through my other Happy Times cards and cut out the Hello from one of the other cards to make a title.

I hope you have enjoyed these pages and you will take a moment to look at my fellow Project Life lovers pages. I LOVE my Project Life and it is my "me time" crafting and I am sure I am smiling as I work on it looking back over cute photos like these!

Memory Keeping with Project Life by Stampin' Up!

Hello there and welcome to our April Blog Share for Memory Keeping with Project Life by Stampin Up!

This month we are not sharing a specific kit amongst the team members but we are using Black and White photos only and our choice of any of the current kits. I opted for the This is the Life kit as it's probably my least used kit and I love the bright colours that I thought would go so well alongside the black and white photos.

I have chosen to document my photos of the Blackpool Ballroom and Latin Grand Finals from November 2014 when myself and my dance partner Paul were Runners Up in both the Latin and the Ballroom couples event.

 I have to say I am really pleased with how these pages turned out and it's another occasion documented in my album! 

 My favourite part of the pages is the card in the bottom right of the page below. I create my own designed card by stamping various words from various PL stamp sets in Cucumber Crush, Watermelon Wonder and Bermuda Bay.

 If you are interested in learning about Project Life or coming along to a class then I have a regular monthly club (3rd Tuesday evening of the month) and regular Project Life Play Days (next one 4th June).

Memory Keeping with Project Life by Stampin' Up! - Metallic theme

Hey there! Bet you thought I might not blog today! Every month on the 2nd Sunday of the month we have out Memory Keeping with Project Life by Stampin Up blog hop. Myself and my fellow PL fans come up with some pages on a  given theme for your inspiration, plus I also love how it helps to fill my personal albums too!

This month our theme is Metallics and we are using these on our pages. I decided to finally document my 40th birthday party photos, or at least make a start on them. I decided to go with silver accents on my album as my theme on the night was navy and silver so I felt this worked best. I rarely do things like heat embossing on my PL pages but I have this time on the 40, which you can see a little closer on the next photo.

I got a friend of mine to take photos for the evening for us so that I didn't have to think about it and could enjoy myself, which I most certainly did. I have only made a small start on documenting these photos with the couple of pages I am sharing today. Will share more as I finish them.

In case you wondered, this was almost 3 years ago and yes I don't look like that now! Hair has most certainly grown a little since and of course my boys now tower over me too!

Project Life - This is the Life

Hello there and today it’s time for another round of Memory Keeping with Project Life by Stampin Up! This month myself and the MKPSU are using the This is the Life Project Life suite that was launched in our new catalogue on 1st June.

This is a very bright kit, full of funky colours and I decided it was perfect to document my experience on the Strictly Come Dancing SuperFan Quiz from last year! You may remember I got to the final of the quiz and lost out on a tie break question but the lovely Mark (aka Spreadsheet Mark) invited me along to watch the final with him! What an amazing night we had - I still cannot actually believe that we were there.

I decided again to use the new Variety Pack 2 Page Protectors as they have the option of both landscape and portrait photos on one layout which is always handy. Above is how they look overlapping each other if they were in the album.

I used the Epic Alphabet to stamp the title and just managed to squeeze it on there

As you can see there were a lot of selfies with the stars that day! To be fair I did get challenged by some of my team to take as many as I could! And of course I obliged!

I am loving these little paperclip dies cut from the new framelits set, a really cute addition to your page.

I couldn’t do a page without a photo of Kevin from Grimsby! Bringing Yorkshire to the ballroom, and of course his lovely sister Joanne returns for her second series this year.

I still have another 2 pages to share with you but they are not quite finished yet. Unfortunately there are no photos from inside the studio as we had our phones taken from us as soon as we arrived so everything is just a lovely memory in my head - unfortunately I can’t document that!

If you would like to have a go at Project Life then I can assure you it’s very very simple and you do not have to be a crafter to start. The hardest task is getting your photos sorted out which I encourage everyone to do. All the products I have used are listed below.

Memory Keeping with Stampin Up Project Life - Design Team

Hello there. It’s that time of the month again when our PLxSU Design Team shares another set of pages with you, this month using the Happy Times kit. 

I haven’t said anything on my blog yet but a week an a half ago we adopted a little doggie called Benji. It’s still early days and we are all getting used to having each other around. He is certainly very affectionate and loves lots of cuddles. 

I used the new style page protectors, just the 10x12 and 12x12 ones and you can see below how they layer over each other.

 This is the front 10x12 inch page on its own and as you can see its the first time we have some page protectors where you can have portrait and landscape 6x4 photos on the same page. I like this!

 The colours that match with this kit are Island Indigo, Old Olive, Soft Suede, Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry. I also love the addition of these little 2x2 squares, very handy for just a tiny bit of journalling.

I hope you like todays pages and it will inspire you to get some Project Life done. These layouts took me approximately 2 hours but most of that time was spent printing my photos off and deciding which ones to use! It really is so so quick and easy!
