Anniversary Card

Hello there! I am sure you have noticed but I am about 8 hours late posting today!!Ooopps!!

Here is one of the cards we will make at the Tuesday Club tonight. I was asked to do Wedding cards and Anniversary card - I think this could be used for either - likewise it could be used for a standard birthday card too.

The card base is actually the Pop and Cuts card base from page 32 of the Spring/Summer Seasonal catalogue showing you how it can be used without the Pop up insert to make a standard card blank. I love how the fancy corners tuck into the pre-cut slits in the card (see below)

I have used a colour combo of Pool Party, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla. The flowers are created with the Floral Fusion Sizzlits and the smaller spiral ones are created with a scallop circle.

The background has been stamped with En Francais and inside I have used the Memorable Moments stamp set.

Thank you to those of you already booked on our first craft retreat in September 2013. We still have some bookings left- the dates are 13th - 15th September. Click on the photo for more details.

Scrapbook Club

Hi there! It's the start of another week and it's a fairly quiet one, we have Tuesday Club tomorrow night and then I am doing a private class for Lucy on Friday - she is gathering 5 of her friends and I am going along to make 3 cards with the 6 lovely ladies. If this is something you like the sound of then message me for more details!

On Saturday I ran my Scrapbook Club alongside my technique club. This seems to work well for us at the moment. My Scrapbook ladies like to get their kit, take a look at my layout and then either copy my layout, take inspiration from it or potter about and do their own thing - whilst I spend a lot of time with my Technique ladies! Talking of Technique ladies I was so frustrated on Saturday! On Friday night I ran my Stamp a Stack with 15 ladies who made 12 cards each - 180 cards and did I forget to bring one thing with me - no siree!!!! Fast forward to Saturday and I had 5 Technique class ladies who made 3 cards each - 15 cards and did I forget to bring things - you bet I did!! I had to nip home twice!!!!!!

So my Scrapbook ladies made the same layout as we did at training the other week - here is a reminder! This layout uses just the elements from the Boutique Box kit in the Spring/Summer Seasonal - £7.25 page 25.

We had a new member at Scrapbook Club - Julie, a friend from dancing! She came along to have a go and see how she got on!!!

Here is her masterpiece and I have to say she finished first almost!!!!! Didn't she do well!

Right I am finishing my cards for Tuesday Club today and then prepping for Lucy's private class!

Dress Up Card

Hi there and welcome to my blog post, a little later than usual! Just having a rest this morning after a hectic couple of days of classes and dancing and classes and dancing!!! On Friday I had 15 ladies attend my Stamp a Stack, they each made 12 cards - 180 cards between them and then yesterday I held my Scrapbook Club and Technique Club.

This is one of the cards from the Technique Club - I have shared the other 2 before. I first saw this idea on Becky Robert's blog HERE and knew I wanted to have a go at it!

The sentiment is from the Bring on the Cake stamp set - a new fave!!

The card opens up and then opens up again to reveal the sentiment.

You can stand it up like this. We had a laugh discussing this yesterday as one of my new ladies Julie, asked how the recipient would display their card. I replied with "You don't really think we send all these lovely cards that we make do you"!!! Lots of the ladies then admitted to not being able to send certain ones they had made!

Here are all 3 cards from yesterdays class. Our next Technique club is Saturday 25th May and we will be using the Oh Hello stamp set.

A Simple Christening Card

Hi there and happy weekend to you! It's all a bit different this morning for us as Evan starts at a new dance school today! End of an era and big changes!

My friend asked me to make a simple Christening card for twin girls this week.

I immediately thought of the Noah's Ark stamp - Two by Two! I do love this stamp and haven't used it enough at all. I think its great for babies and young children and its just enough colouring to satisfy any colouring needs you may have!!

The card blank is Pink Pirouette as is the taffeta ribbon. I coloured it in with a mixture of blender pens/ink and the marker pens

I hope it meets the brief!!

See you tomorrow!

Stepper Card

Hey there, it's Friday and it's nearly the weekend!! Tonight I have my Stamp a Stack event so I am finishing the last preps today! 192 cards to prep!

I am sharing the last card from our Tuesday Club, the stepper card! Not really made one like this one before. I have kept the same colour scheme from the previous 2 cards we made. The paper on the front is the Natural Composition paper and I have rubbed it with White Kraft ink to take some of the shine of the embossed design away.

The rest is basically punching, die cutting and sticking down! We used the butterfly punches and the Print Poetry paper stack.

We also used the Secret Garden Framelit dies for the leaves and the large blue flower.

And here are all the 3 cards together

Hope you like this set of cards.

Secret Garden technique

Hello there and welcome to my blog today! Thank you for all your comments on yesterdays card either here or on my Facebook page. They are very much appreciated. I will look into doing a little tutorial for you on yesterdays card ASAP. I survived the filling at the dentists OK and I asked him when was the last time I had to have a filling - 1994! WOW I am impressed that I haven't had one for 19 years!

So onto todays little number. Remember this technique I did a few weeks back with my Technique Club? Well I have had so many comments on the card so I thought I would share it with this weeks Tuesday ladies too.

The colours we have used on this card are Midnight Muse and Crumb Cake, good old Crumb Cake - love it!

The inside was simply stamped with the same flower in Midnight Muse and the rest of the sentiment added

The sentiments are from a set called One in a Million and it is the first time I have used these. They are in 2 parts so you can use one on the front and one on the inside, as I have done!

Thought I would share Jane's version of the card front with you. Lovely delicate colouring and an alternative bow decoration! Lovely!

I will share the last card from the set tomorrow - it was the hardest one!

Fancy Butterfly card

Hi there, midweek already and usually I love my Wednesdays (its my long day) but not today because I have the dreaded dentist!!!! I have got to have a filling and I am dreading it, don't think I have had to have one since the boys were born!!!

Anyway on to happier things! Last night we had Tuesday Club again and I decided to use the colours of Gumball Green and Midnight Muse with lots of Crumb Cake. I have seen a card similar to this (with less layering) on Pinterest and was keen to have a go.

It's quite easy with the used of a Stamp a ma Jig!

Here you can see the dimension as I added a couple of extra ones on top.

Love this card if I do say so myself!! Hope you like it too!! I will share another one of our Tuesday Club cards tomorrow.

Male themed swaps

Good Morning to you!

On Saturday at our training event we did our usual swapping (or if you shop at M&S - shwopping!) but I was a bit cruel to the ladies and asked them to do male themed swaps!!! Had a little bit of grumbling but not too much and I think everyone was thrilled with the swaps we received - I know I have got a few ideas to CASE already!

My swaps had to be quick as I only budgeted one evenings worth of time to do them and we had 30 to make to here are my little offerings!!

I used a colour combo of Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla and Island Indigo. I used the Distressed Dots background stamp along with the Hearts a Flutter and A Fitting Occasion.

On Saturday we tried a more organised way of swapping and here are some of my girls all lined up ready to swap!!! It worked really well and even made us ahead of schedule all day!

I love this photo. Can you see Kate and Nicky hugging further up the line - thats what being part of our Stampin Up family is all about, the friendships we have made along the way!

If you would like to be a part of our wonderful team then I would love you to take advantage of our special offer this month and next - an extra £25 worth of freebies in your Starter Kit!!!
