Stamp a Stacker!

Hi there! Sorry I was AWOL yesterday! We had a full day out on Sunday at a Ballroom and Latin competition and it totally wiped me out so yesterday was a chill out and cleaning day!

I thought I would start to share the cards from the last Stamp a Stack event I did a couple of weeks ago. All the cards we made this time had a crumb cake card blank. I wanted to show how versatile this colour really is.

The first one is a case from 2 cards that I have fused together - one from the lovely Jenni Pauli and another from a card I saw on Pinterest.

A lot of Big Shot action on this card! The flowers are from the Daisies #2 die and the leaves are the Little Leaves Sizzlit die.

The sentiment is from Just Believe and it is punched out with the Word Window punch and then layered onto one of the tags from the Lots of Tags set. I'm not really a yellow fan but I think this card has just the right amount of Daffodil Delight on it! The background has yet more Big Shot action, the Stripes embossing folder!

Thought I would share a photo of my boy from Sunday! He did so well and we are so proud of him! For the first time ever at our local comp there were enough boys to do a "boys only" competition! The were 8 boys in total and he danced Waltz and they re-called 5 back into the FInal and he got in the Final 5!!! This is amazing progress for Evan and he was chuffed to bits!

And here I am with my lovely friend and dance partner Paul! We came first place in the Cha Cha Cha!! Brilliant

See you tomorrow!

Special Birthday Card

Good morning and a happy Sunday to you!

I am sharing a card I sent to our craft friend and my lovely customer Sam who celebrated her special birthday a week ago! I arranged for our Tuesday ladies to bring a card for Sam and we packaged them up and posted off to her as she hasnt been able to attend our club for a while! :(

This is the card I made for Sam

I used the First Edition papers for the background and stamped onto them with the swirl from Everything Eleanor in Lucky Limeade ink.

The flowers were made using the Everyday Enchanted papers. You have until Tuesday to get your hands on these papers. Mail me if you would like an order! Sam's name was stamped with the Broadsheet alphabet in Poppy Parade.

Close up of the flowers.

Hope you like the card.

Back tomorrow with another project for you

Team Swaps!

Good morning! Its a quick post from me this morning as I was up so late last night watching the wonderful Opening Ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games - we loved it!! My boys watched it right until the end and they did us proud didnt they! I loved the staging and the dramatic parts, and then they throw in Mr Bean - genius!!!

So here are my swaps from our team training that we did 2 weeks ago! The theme was Christmas and I decided to make penguins from the owl punch!!

The paper is Baja BReeze from the ever popular DSP stacks on page 99. I tore some Whisper White card to create the snow and inked the edge with Baja Breeze ink.

As you can see I added some glitter onto the snow for that finishing touch!

Sorry for the short post, I have to take Evan to his dance class in half an hour!

Another Grey themed card

Hello there, another little lie in this morning! Could get quite used to this!

Here is another card from our "Grey series" of cards that we did a few weeks ago at our Tuesday Club. We meet fortnightly on Tuesday evenings and are always looking to welcome new members! Our next class is 7th August and then we break for the summer and will be back on 11th September. If you fancy coming along to class please message me via my email address at the top of this blog!

I combined 2 stamp sets I am really loving at the moment, the Tea Shoppe stamp set and the Apothecary Art stamp set using the colour combo of Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze and Basic Grey with a tiny bit of Pear Pizazz colouring on the stamped image.

Plenty of inking around the edges on this card and lots of decoration inside.

I hope you enjoyed my latest grey offering, will be back tomorrow with the last in the trilogy!!

Catching up with the Tuesday Club!

Hello there! Are you surviving the School Holidays?? Yesterday was a bit touch and go for me! Hoping today might be a bit better!!

Last night we had our Tuesday club and I realised I have never shared the previous Tuesday Club cards with you!!! so, 2 weeks ago we made a selection I will share with you over the next 3 days!!

I sometimes ask the ladies what they would like to make/use at the next class and seeing as all they did was talk about THOSE BOOKS, we decided we would make cards with Grey as a feature!! Yes, Mr Grey is now even influencing my card classes (although I have to say I still haven't read them!)

So here is the first project. I made it as a lovely wallet style invitation but some of the ladies made it into a birthday card. The colours used are Basic Grey, Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze and Whisper White.

We added some of the gorgeous pleated ribbon in Baja Breeze around the invite and also a little bit of it in Blushing Bride to the top of the insert, tied with some Whisper White Bakers Twine

The sentiment was stamped onto a Framelit and I added some flowers and rhinestones. The tea cups on the insert were from the Tea Shoppe stamp set.

Hope you like our first "Grey" project. Please check back tomorrow for another one!

Another Teacher Gift

Good morning! Do you know what I did yesterday? I forgot to blog!!!! I'm blaming the boys being at home, disrupting my routine!!!! Ha ha!!!!!

So here I am back with Evan's teacher gift. He chose some perfume for her from good old M&S and I needed a box quick pronto!!! I then remembered these sneak peek boxes we were given in Vienna so I covered one in Twitterpated papers

I really took me no time at all to come up with this, probably 15-20 minutes!

Thats what I love about Stampin Up, you can come up with a nice co-ordinating project really quickly with the gorgeous products and tools!

I also sent his teacher a card from us which I made to match the box. Evan has had a fantastic year and his confidence has grown and his teacher has been very much a major role in his progress!!!

Phew the perfume just fit in perfectly!!

Hope you like my sneak peek!!!!!

Back tomorrow, I still have loads of projects to share so will be blogging everyday (if I remember!)

Attic Boutique Scrapbooking

Good morning and happy Sunday to you! This morning is "ironing morning" - uurrrggh don't you just detest it????

So yesterday I held our monthly scrapbooking club and due to holidays lots of my ladies could not attend so I had the pleasure of 3 lovely ladies scrapping with me at my house!

Today we used the gorgeous Attic Boutique papers from the Summer Mini. I must say I have only used one of the designs up until now and I saw a page my lovely friend Jo did and had to use them. They do lend themselves to scrapbooking really beautifully and the colours we used were Soft Suede, Pool Party, Poppy Parade and Whisper White or Very Vanilla.

SO here is my first page. I have to say (before anyone else does) there are not supposed to be 2 of my black hairs making a feature on my page!!! They must have dropped out as I took the photo!!!!! When I noticed last night it was too dark to take another photo!!!

I showed the ladies how to make these spiral flowers, June and Ellie had not made them before and I think they are now addicted, as am I!! You will see further down, I could not stop making them and adding them to my pages!

As you will see the pages document our recent trip to Vienna with Stampin' Up!!!  I have loads more photos to scrap and haven't even dared to touch the Segway photos yet!!

This is the second page and I went a little bit mad with the spiral flowers on this one!

I chose to do spiral flowers because of the red flowers in my hair, I thought it would pull it all together!

I also made some flowers using the scalloped circle punch for a different look, the large Pool Party flowers have been made with the scallops, you can particularly tell on the one on the right

I will share a few of my ladies photos

Above are June's flowers, she stuck to just using Pool Party and Soft Suede - doesnt it look stunning?

The next few pages are Ginnette's pages. She had a few printer problems and her photos came out cloudy but she brought them and cut them up and used them as templates for when she gets them printed out!

Love these flowers!

And then finally my dance friend Ellie's pages. Last weekend Ellie's Mum re-married and Ellie was keen to get some photos used! On this page you might see that I am on 2 photos as I was honoured to be invited to the night do! My friend Ellie is easy to spot, she features in all 4 photos!

Lovely photo and lovely flowers Ellie!

Sorry for the lengthy post but I wanted to show off all the lovely pages and flowers!! I had so much fun making these and preserving yet more memories!!

If you would like to join in then please get in touch. Our class is in Pudsey, West Yorkshire and we meet once a month!!
