Monster cards

Hello there

Late post from me today, have been rushing around most of the day! Tonight I am doing a stall at my little boys school Ladies Shopping Night, trying to promote Stampin Up and my classes etc. I got the table for free on the promise I would donate a raffle prize so I said I would do a pack of 6 childrens handmade cards!!

I only remembered I had said that yesterday!! I managed to find 3 lovely cupcake cards for girls that were in my box as I cannot display them as they have retired papers on them so I used those, but I was stuck for boys cards.

Decided on Make a Monster and came up with 3 quick cards using scraps in my box and a colour combo of Real Red, Old Olive and Pacific Point!

These only took me just over half an hour to make all 3!!

Very simple but quite effective I think!

Then I bundled them all together and made a fancy tag and added some striped grosgrain and here is my raffle prize!
Right I am going to get ready as I need to be off soon!!!

Make sure you check my blog tomorrow!!

ITS MINI LAUNCH DAY!!!!!

Everyone had to make 5 Daffies and we made a Twisted Easel card, a box to hold it and a gift tag. The colour combo is Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight of course!!
The daffodils are made using the Flower Accent stamp and the 1 inch circle punch.

And a little gift tag to go with the card

There wasnt as much moaning from the ladies last night as there was the week before, no punch art!!!!!!!!!!!

Right I must dash, I have a full on day crafting, finishing off projects for my Mini Catalogue launch on Saturday. Got a couple of places left if you want to pop along!

Cards for my Team!!

Good Morning

This is a scheduled post (again!!)

On Thursday I had the most fab day at the NEC, I was shattered after doing a round trip of 250 miles in one day and would like to thank my lovely downline Karen for coming with me and keeping me company on the long journey there and back!!! I spent a lot of time demoing and met some lovely people including some of my customers!! Was lovely to see you!!!

This week I sent out some presents to the girls in my team who won my Sale A Bration Incentives!! And these were the cards I made to go with them!

I am really into daffodils at the moment ever since I got a fabulous swap from Michelle Bryant at Leeds training a few weeks ago. They are made my simply stamping the Flower Accent stamp (last page of catty) in Daffodil Delight and then cutting it out and scrunching and manipulating a 1 inch circle. I love the effect and I have stamped Just Believe at the back.

Colour combo is Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie - Nice and bright!!!

Hope you like them!!

Right thats me done.

Big day for the Kettlewells today as it is our dancing exams for myself and Evan! We both have to been assessed on 4 dances!!!! Last time Evan got higher marks than me (didnt like to tell him his was an easier exam!!) We shall see this time!!!

Back on Sunday

Stampin' Up! = Homework Helpers!!!!

Good Morning - This is a scheduled post as today I am on the Stampin' Up! stand at Birmingham NEC, if you are visiting the show please pop over and say hello!!!!!!

My youngest boy Evan has a Learning Log from school and he has to do creative things in it every so often. This time is was all about Spring and they asked for him to detail all the signs of Spring!! The brief was- Be as creative as you like!!!!

SO - following on from my Punch Art class we got a bit giddy and made this!!

Evan really enjoyed doing it with me, he wrote all the wording in the ovals and made suggestions as to what we could include on the collage.

Everything is Stampin Up!! Maybe I could convert his teacher!! Should have put a business card inside his book!!! Missed opportunity there!!!

Hope you like it, Evan was very proud of it!!

Easter Punch Art class!

Good morning!!

This is a scheduled post because I am so busy this week. Had to get a few done in one go!!!!!

Last night I did an Easter Punch Art class, I can't say that the ladies loved it as when I wrote this they hadn't been yet - but I am hoping they did!!!!!

My friend Lynne is collecting Easter cards to give to children at Martin House along with an egg so we decided we would do Easter cards and the ladies would donate one!!

I got the tutorial for the Punch art from www.paperpunchaddiction.blogspot.com, although I made a few little tweaks of my own.

The colours are mostly from the Subtles collection. I love this little lamb looking through the fence, which is made with Word Window punches and Linen Thread! Added a couple of little flowers to look like daffodils in the field!

The sentiment is from the Good Egg stamp set

Next up is the Easter Bunny!!!! Here he is complete with his basket of eggs!

The grass is Wild Wasabi DSP from the paper stack, I love Wild Wasabi and its becoming one of my new favourites!

The basket is made with the Round Tab punch and the Large Oval punch for the handle

I even decorated inside on this one

And finally, how about this cute little duck!!!!

I love it!

Hope you like my Easter Punch Art class!! Will let you know what my ladies said!!

Scrapbooking Saturday!

Once a month I get to spend a lovely Saturday afternoon with my Scrapbook Club Ladies!! I am so pleased I started these classes, not only because it got me scrapping but because they have been very successful and brought some new ladies to my classes!

Each month we have a "kit" and although I do a layout, its really interesting to see what layouts my ladies do!!

I managed to take a photo of a handful of them!

This is Ginnette's layout, we always do 2 pages

This month the theme was My Family and we used the Neighbourhood Wheel (ON OFFER THIS MONTH) and the All in the Family stamp set. The colour combo was Cajun Craze, Old Olive and Baja Breeze.

These next 2 are Ellie's layouts. Ellie is my friend from dancing and this is only the 2nd class she has been to, she is doing so well and I think she is getting the crafting "bug"!!!

Next up is the lovely Yvonne (this lady makes me laugh so much) who comes with her daughter Peita, they love their scrapbooking and are seasoned scrappers!!

Yvonne didnt quite finish hers, think the colouring in wiped her out!!

And finally one of the pages of my lovely friend and downline Shazza. These are her grandchildren, she had to squeeze them on one page!!

Hope you liked the scrapbook layouts. If you have been thinking about scrapbooking but don't know where to start please just drop me a line, julie.kettlewell@ntlworld.com

Silver Wedding Acceptance card

Hello there! Another lovely sunny day here in Yorkshire!!

This morning I made a really quick Acceptance card for a Silver Wedding celebration I have been invited to! I had to do it quick as it is for someone at dancing and we were there this morning!!

I used some non SU card as it is silver card and I really liked the effect. The papers are from the Neutrals DSP stack (love them)

The lettering is using the Broadsheet for the letter A and the Just Perfect for the rest. The Broadsheet alphabet is my new toy! It arrived yesterday along with other FREE stamp sets that I earned during Sale A Bration (its fab to be a demonstrator, who doesnt love FREE stamps!) and its the first inking it has had!

I added a lot of bling to the card, look how those Rhinestones shimmer, they really are such fab quality!
I then decided it looked a bit bare so I quickly added a silver butterfly and some more bling and I think this just finishes it off!

I hope they like it! I was really please with my quick make at 8.30 this morning!!

Right I am going to spend the afternoon with my lovely Scrapbook ladies, todays theme is Our Family and I am looking forward to seeing their pages!

Male Birthday cad

Good Afternoon and what beautiful day it is in West Yorkshire! It has been horrible the last few days so the sun is very nice today!!

I have made a card for a lad at dancing, Stuart. I don't think he reads my blog but if he does then Happy Birthday Stuart. I used an old faithful design, the shirt and tie design!!

A colour combo of Old Olive, Bashful Blue and Soft Suede - a favourite male combo of mine! The star is from the Every Little Bit stamp set and the sentiment is from Party this Way!

I used some Old Olive taffeta to make the tie and the papers are from the Neutrals DSP pack!

Did a bit of decorating inside too!!

On SUnday I have a stand at the Spring Craft Fair in Saltaire Village. I will be showing all things Stampin' Up! and demoing the products and promoting my classes and events. If you are in the area why not pop in and say Hi!!!! It's Free Admission!!

Hope to see you there
