Cupcake Class last project

Hello there! I am not feeling too good today so I have been taking it a bit easy this morning in the hope that I am bright and breezy for our monthly team training this evening!!!

I thought I would share with you the last project we made on Saturday at my Cupcake class. I have made this box many times before but I brought it back for another outing seeing as it was such a long time ago!!

The box is made from one sheet of A4 cardstock and ends up being 7cm square in size. The cello bag is the largest one Stampin Up do and its great for some chocs or even a cupcake!

The colour combo is Pink Pirouette, Pool Party, Perfect Plum and Whisper White, with a little bit of Regal Rose ribbon (this ribbon is my new fave I think!)

Here are all the projects together!

I hope you like them and thank you for your lovely comments on my pop up card, I have not had so many comments for such a long time! It was lovely to read them! Thank you

Such a busy weekend

Phew what a busy weekend its been for me!! 3 events in 3 days!!

On Friday night I hosted my February Stamp a Stack event, I will show the cards from that later on in the week. On Saturday afternoon I had my Cupcake Crazy class and then on Sunday I spent 4 or so hours with some of my newest local team members doing their Induction training. Then I went to my dance lesson for a rest!! Ha ha!!!

So I thought I would share my most favourite card I have made for a very long time!!! The sentiment made me want to make a card with lots of cupcakes on it!

It's fairly plain on the outside!

But then inside and Ta-dah!!!!!!!!!! I had to make 9 of the little blighters!! But I love making these cupcakes so much! All the different colour combos you can have!!!

Forgive my pencil lines on the pop out but! This was actually my prototype that I made a couple of weeks ago and I never got round to making a new one!!!!!

I think the ladies loved this card, even though I made a faux pas giving them the measurements for cutting!!!!
I would love to hear your thoughts on my pop up design. I am hoping to write a tutorial for my class so watch this space!

Sarah-Janes birthday!

Hello there!!

Today is a special day, its my lovely downline and good friend Sarah-Jane's birthday. SJ has been a member of our team for 3 years now (WOW SJ) and is my second longest serving first level downline!!! We get on so well and share a room together at convention!! Its just a shame that she is so many miles away from me - but it doesn't affect our friendship!!

Now SJ is a very talented crafter and I often have bow envy when I see her cards. I chickened out of doing a bow, Ciara challenged me but I wanted to make a flat card for ease of posting!! I opted for the Outlined Occasions stamp set and created a bunting and cupcake scene!!

I went for the subtles family plus Wisteria Wonder and had fun with the cupcakes!! I love making these - I made 12 of them tonight whilst watching Evan and his partner have their dance lesson!!!

Love this little cutie cupcake here, I added some glue dots to the frosting and then dipped it in Dazzling Diamonds!! Ta-dah!!

Hope you like your card SJ and hope you have a wonderful day with Neil and the gang!!

P.S I have one space left for my Stamp a Stack at 7pm this evening!!

Tuesday Club projects

Hello there. It's wild out there this morning. I have just done the school run and got wet through and blown about - feel like I had a free spa treatment!!!!!!

Todays projects are hot of the press from last nights card club. They were designed to be a Mothers Day card and gift but I have made mine more generic for any occasion!

Both the projects use the fantastic Everyday Enchantment papers which you can earn FREE with a spend of £45 from any of our catalogues.

The technique I showed the girls last night was how to make the spiral flowers. I first fell in love with these on my fabbo downline Sarah-Jane's blog. This is the card, a patchwork style card with fake (or faux if you are posh!) stitching to make it look more authentic!

The frame was embossed in Mr Big Shot and then we tore around the edge and then added all the flowers that were made at the beginning of the class. Its best to do the flowers first and then let them dry under something heavy like a punch. The square punch was the largest square punch we do and you can just fit 4 across nicely on a 14.8cm square card blank.

Inside got a bit of treatment too using the Fresh Vintage stamp set

We then made a giant gift bag!! I say giant, its not that big really but its much bigger than the one we made at our training. Its made from a sheet of 12x12 paper and I got the tutorial here The lady doing it really makes me laugh, she is so cute!!! She makes it from a sheet of 6x6 so all you need to do is double the measurements that she gives you.

I love this paper so much, and there are only 5 weeks left to get your hands on it!!! I will be getting some more of it, thats for sure!!!

The bag comes out a really good size, its 7 inches wide and approx 5 inches tall!. You could get lots of different items in it! We made a little tag to hang of the handle and added some more spiral flowers to it. Some of the ladies made the bags with different sentiments and even initials for a personalised gift.

And here is a photo of the 6x6 one and the 12x12 one next to each other!! Look what a lovely sunny day we had yesterday in the conservatoire! I am missing it alot by the way!!

Hope you enjoyed my projects

New Team Members Welcome Packs

Hello there, I am very late posting and having one of those "down" sort of days today, dont know whats wrong really but just feel a bit fed up!!! I am sure my Tuesday Club will cheer me up this evening!!!

Today I am sharing the welcome packs I give to mu new team members when they join our team of Jems!!! I bought some lovely hardback recycled notebooks from Asda last week and covered them with the Everyday Enchantment papers and then added some ribbons to the spine!

Here is the one I made for Katie. I like to make my girls a notebook for all their lists and ideas and for notes at training events. I made all my team a little notebook for Christmas as they are always handy to have!!

Here is one of the parcels all ready to go out, its Sally's. I make a colour chart too and the girls got one of the bags I brought back from Convention. You can also see a white handbook underneath at the back which is a guide to being a demo and has helpful hints and tips.
There is also a bit of bling, we are Jems after all!!

If you have toyed with the idea of signing up but are not sure if it is for you or not please drop me a message and I would love to have a chat with you. Myself and my team of girls are always looking to expand our teams and welcome all new demos whether business or hobbyist demos.

I'll be back tomorrow with our makes from tonights Card Club

Sprinkled Expressions Congrats Cards

Hello there - well the boys are back to school and while I love having them at home, enjoying the lie ins and the slower pace of the school holidays I also enjoy it when they go back!!!

Todays cards are 2 little cards I made recently for members of my team to say well done for their achievements!!

I have used the Sprinkled Expressions stamp set and a colour combo of Pool Party, Melon Mambo and Lucky Limeade.

I stamped the star image with Melon Mambo onto some Whisper White and then I embossed it through the Square Lattice folder.

I added my current favourite Pool Party ribbon and tied it into a little bow.

The sentiment is from the same set, punched out with the Wide Oval punch and then layered onto a decorative label punched out in Lucky Limeade.

Quick and easy and I am loving the Colour Combo!!

Monthly Scrapbooking Club

Hello there - is it a lovely sunny day where you are? It's glorious here and I am typing this at my desk with the sun shining through from the conservatory - gorgeous!

Yesterday was our monthly Scrapbooking Club and we were using a Spice Cake kit. I saw the paper weaving technique on page 10 of the Spring Mini Catty and fell in love with it so decided to use this technique. I only did the one layout of Ross but I have almost finished an identical layout of Evan. I loved how they have added the Linen Thread and the Antique Brad to make it look like it is a hanging picture.

We used a little bit of fabric on the layout for the circles and the fabulous big buttons.

I was pleased to say that probably for the first time ever, everyone decided to have a go at the technique. Usually the girls use there own creative ideas at Scrapbook Club but this time everyone went for the paper weaving and I managed to sneak a couple of photos!

The one above is Peita's layout of Disney Castle, Peita had slightly chunkier strips of paper - a happy mistake!!!!!!
Ginnette did lovely layouts of her precious cats Garfield and Charlie, here is the Garfield page. Love how Ginnette has cut her strips off at an angle!

We also had our youngest member with us, the gorgeous Ruby!!!! Here she is with a sneaky cheeky smile!!!! Lots of us had a cuddle with her yesterday!

Right I am off to enjoy this lovely day

The big boy cards!

Phew I have only just got my internet on today, its been off all morning!! And the phone line has not been working for a couple of days so we are technically challenged today!!!

Today I will share the "big boys" cards we made in the class last Tuesday for the older male generation!!! These cards feature the Need for Speed stamp set

The first one is using the plane image, the papers used on both cards are the Well Worn DSP.

A very simple card, bit of paper tearing and some of that fab denim ribbon which is perfect for the "hard to put together" male cards. Makes ribbon a bit more masculine. Check it out on page 106 of the main catalogue - £6.25 for over 9 metres.

Next up was a card using the car image, the image I would probably use the most in this set. Coloured in with ink pads and blender pen. The car is on an "off road" track hence the dirty road its driving on!! We did have a laugh at class that night as some of the roads were very dirty!!The sentiment is from the Happiest Birthday Wishes Hostess set.

I actually got chance to doing some crafting to at the class as one of my ladies couldnt make it so there was a spare kit!! I dont often craft but all the ladies in attendance are very experienced so they didnt need my help!! I made this one using the buggy image from the set!

I did stamp the sentiment wonky though and my inks have all bled so it looks like there is blood all over the back wheel - goodness knows where the buggy has been!!!

Right I am going to get my car packed for my Scrapbook class this afternoon, we are using Spice Cake - just when you thought you had escaped some more Spice Cake projects!!!

Supplies Used: (All Stampin Up! Unless Otherwise Stated)

Cards for boys!

Hello there and Happy Friday!!

Today there is no Spice Cake!! Yeah!!!! I am sharing some boys cards that we made at our most recent Tuesday club - Boyz 2 Men!! We made 2 boys cards and 2 mens cards!! So here are the boys cards using the Dinoroar stamp set!

We used a colour combo of Crumb Cake, Concord Crush and Lucky Limeade for these cards with various other colours for the Dinosaurs!

If I were making this card again I would recommend you use a blender pen and ink pad rather than a marker pen for the bottom dinosaur in the Concord Crush! Its too dark and you cannot see his poor little eyes!!!!
The next card is a shameless CASE from one I found on Splitcoast Stampers and I just changed the size of the card.
The hills were made with the Lucky Limeade DSP from the stack and we drew some little doodled borders on them. The dinosaurs were coloured in with the Blender pens and ink pads!

Right thats me off for the day, bit of crafting, bit of friend visiting and a bit of relaxing I think!!

Yet more Spicey!!!!

Good morning!!!

I think I have exhausted my Spice Cake cards now, must try using something else later on this week. Actually I will be as I am just finishing off the projects for my CUPCAKE CRAZY class next Saturday 25th February. Please get in touch if you would like to attend. The details are shown above!

Here is another card using the Postage Stamp punch and matching stamp set. Its a great little purchase and fantastic value!

I added some of the wide striped grosgrain we used at our ALl Day Event and then I used the You're a Gem stamp set for the sentiment.

I tied some Pear Pizazz seam binding ribbon around the striped ribbon to pull it in a bit and then added a More Mustard button on top. I think I have used more More Mustard since we have had the Spring Mini than I have in my whole time as a Demonstrator (nearly 4 wonderful years)
Hope you like my card. I cant believe its Thursday already!! Got lots to do today, just finishing off my downline welcome packs for the girls who joined the Jems in February!! If its something you have been thinking about then why not get in touch. There really is nothing to lose and its such a fab value Starter Kit
