Top 10 of 2010!

Today I thought I would reflect on my Top Ten favourite projects of 2010. Note - I said projects, not just cards!!! 2010 has seen me branch out into Scrapbooking which I am really loving!!
OK, first up is this Punch Art card I made for my friends Son back in March.
Here is a wallet style card that we made at a Vintage Vogue class
and the inside.

Back to Children's cards and here is a card I made for my lovely Nephew Lucas first birthday!

Using the retired set Mr & Mrs, this is one of my all time favourite cards I made.

Back to Childrens style cards and here is the card I made for Evan's teacher at the end of the school year.

Something a little different now, this 3D item, a cute little box with the Artistic Etchings set.

I am loving Scrapbooking so I had to include a scrapbook page and here is my favourite one so far!

Love this stamp from the Level 1 Hostess set, even stamped in one colour it looks fab!

Back to more kiddies cards and my lovely Evans 8th birthday card with Make a Monster!

And finally I just LOVE this card, it just seemed to work!!!

Scrapbooking

Hello there
Hope you had a nice Christmas Day? We had a nice quiet day just the 4 of us for lunch, very low key and stress free!!

In September I took the plunge and started some Scrapbooking classes, this was one of the best things I have done! Not only did the classes become popular but it means that I am using up my photos and doing something constructive with them!!

Each month I choose a theme and I give the ladies a months notice of the layout and theme! January's class is going to be Baby!!
And here is my layout, featuring my youngest boy, Evan! Awww how cute!!! The colours are Baja Breeze and Certainly Celery.

If you look carefully you can see I have used the Bundle of Love set to create a background with all the little images. I have also used the Nursery Suite papers and Quick Accents, perfect for quick and easy scrapbooking!

In closer detail! I punched out the letters of his name with the Jewellery Tag punch and added wth silver brads.

This is the second page. The hearts are from the I Heart Hearts set and I have punched them out with the Heart to Heart punch and adhered to the layout.

I used the Word Window to punch out the little tags and added a heart to each one!

I hope you like it! I love doing scrapbook pages now, just need to find more time to do some more!!!
If you would like to come to a class, they are in the Leeds area then please contact me at the email address above for more details. The next class dates are also at the top of my blog!!
Have a great Boxing Day

Merry Christmas

Hello there and a very very Merry Christmas to all my lovely blog readers.
Hope you have a lovely festive period with your families and I thank you for your support during 2010.
Here is one of my most favourite cards that I have made recently. A friend of mine asked for card for her Nephew, the brief was - he likes Santa, Giraffes and Fish!!!!!!
I am really happy with how this turned out. Traditional colours of Old Olive and Real Red and lots of Punch Art! Here is the Santa, I love him, particularly the twinkle in his eyes!!!!! Tyler's name was stamped with the Just Perfect alphabet.

The fish was made using the Ornament punch and Delightful Decorations and I added a little santa hat to make him festive!

And finally this cute little giraffe, just love him!!! I tried to put a santa hat on him but it just didnt look right so I added a spotty dickie bow to make him festive!

Hope you like the card, my friend loved it!!!!
Have a fab time!!!

Christmas Cupcakes

OOoo its Christmas Eve!!! Are you all ready for tomorrow!! Excited?????
I wanted to show you the cards I made for my first level downline. I really hope they all have them now as I posted them out on Saturday, but who knows with the bad weather.
As you know I love my cupcakes so I decided to make a Christmas Cupcake card!
I am really pleased how it came out even though I was fed up of punching those little blighter holly leaves in the end!!!!!!

Here they all are lined up! I asked my husband and son what they thought they were! They both said Christmas puddings!!!! I told them they are Christmas Cupcakes, and they said there was no such thing!!!!! As if!!

I also bought my team a very very small gift and I wrapped them up in hand stamped wrapping paper.

Hope you like them girls and Merry Christmas

Birth Announcement cards

Its me, back again with more new cards for you!!!
This was a commission for a set of birth announcement cards for a regular customer. This is her 3rd child, all boys!! I have done the cards for all her boys!!
I used the new Bundle of Love stamp set to create the backgrounds and kept it simple with just Bashful Blue and Whisper White.
The pram image was coloured in with the marker pens and the wording was punched out with the large oval punch.

I had to make 8 of them in total. Plus my customer just became an aunty 2 days before becoming a mummy again, this time a little girl so she asked me to make one for her niece too!! All the same products but a mixture of Pretty in Pink and Pink Pirouette

Hope you like but I hope my customer loves them!!!

Christmas Wrapping

Good morning.
I wanted to share this with you today. How you can make simple and inexpensive items look a little fancier with some simple wrapping and "jazzing" up!!
Here are some boxes of Maltesers Evan gave to the young people who help with the dancing class he goes to on a Saturday morning. They help with partnering and with any of the children and struggling so I wanted to give them a little something.
These have been decorated with papers from the Christmas Jingle kit and striped wide grosgrain. I have made more die cut Santas to decorate these.
Also we decorated some simple bars of Dairy Milk with papers from the Christmas Jingle kit and Old Olive grosgrain ribbon and the Sparkly and Bright stamp set.

We also gave the Lollipop lady a bar of Dairy Milk and again decorated with a die cut Rudolph and some Old Olive satin ribbon.

It just makes a simple bar of chocolate look a lot more appealing

Hope you have liked these projects

Cards in bulk!

Good morning, not long to go now until the big day!!!
I had to make a lot of cards this year for friends, family and customers so I made lots of this style in bulk. They are great for posting as they dont have lots of layers
I have teamed Baroque Motifs withe Delightful Decorations after seeing some lovely cards on my downline Becki's blog. Thanks BEcki. The colour combos are Cherry Cobbler, Baja Breeze and Old Olive.
They were really quite quick to do and I did them in various colours so it wasnt as monotonous!!

I love the Scallop Trim punch, have used it loads and it just finishes them off nicely!!!
Back tomorrow with more to show!

Merry Christmas lovely Lucas

Good morning. Was nice not to have to get up for school run this morning!!
This is the card I made our lovely Lucas for Christmas. Some of you know I look after him all day on Fridays, well it was my last one last Friday and I am now just having him on Thursday afternoons. Will be much better all round.
The papers are from Jolly Holiday and the reindeer is the same as the one from the other day. The sentiment is from Four the Holidays and I added an Early Espresso button with some Real Red card wound through.

Hope you likey and are keeping safe and warm!!!!!

Now for something different today. Todays card is for Adam who was 8 on Friday. I decided to use Beware Pirates, not used it for a few weeks!!! Brings back fond memories of our fantastic Pirate Night!!!
Its quite grungy for me this card, with lots of inking, so Vicky will be impressed!!!!

The colours are Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla. Schoolbook Serif alphabet (again) together with the Schoolbook numbers set. Did lots of Distressing with my Cutter Kit.

I even decorated inside with loads more distressing and inking!!

Hope you had a lovely birthday Adam
