From our home to your home......

Good Morning to you! Last night we had our Annual Jems Team Christmas Soiree. It’s always early in December as we meet on the first Tuesday of the month but for me it’s the start of the festive period. We had a fun game, a make and take, business news and then a lovely spread of food and drink with everyone contributing something towards. It was a lovely evening and I get to do it all over again this morning with another group of ladies.

Today I am sharing another card from my Stamp a Stack last Friday. This card was totally CASED from the lovely Teneale Williams from Australia. I love all her makes and love her, she is a doll! I could not CASE it fully as I didnt have the paper Teneale used, nor did I have the Be Merry stamp but I improvised and came up with this design
I substituted the paper for the Chevron background stamp, stamped on some Kraft card stock and added a layer of Champagne Glimmer paper at the bottom.
I love the sentiment on this card which is from the Holiday Home stamp set.
Ok that’s me done for today! Tonight I am going to see Dirty Dancing with my friend Wendy. Very much looking forward to that!
EDITED TO ADD - please make sure you check out my Stampin Up Online Store on Friday as there will be some fantastic deals coming up with great savings!

Useful Holiday Home

Good Morning! Lovely little lie in this morning which is a huge contrast to last Sunday when we were already fully blinged up and on the dance floor at the Winter Gardens for a 13 hour day of dancing!

Today I am sharing another card we made at the Stamp a Stack at the end of October. This time I CASEd a card from the lovely Michelle Last and we created a new home card with the Holiday Home stamp set. I LOVE this stamp set as it’s not just for Christmas and such good value with 24 stamps for only £13.95
The two houses at the ends were stamped in Smoky Slate directly onto the card along with the lamppost and the feature house was stamped in Memento ink and coloured with the Blendabilities pens and then rolled out on the Big Shot with the co-ordinating dies! HOWEVER I would advise you to not do it like I did it and stamp the house, then roll it out and then colour it in afterwards! Just in case your Big Shot die slips as its going through and you ruin your lovely coloured house!
The sentiment is from the same set making this set the perfect set for new home cards. The heart is cut from the Owl punch with the Red Glimmer paper.
And yes I did let my ladies loose with my lovely Blendie pens but they were very very careful with them and we had no incidents!

Holiday Home stamps

One of my favourite sets in the new Autumn/Winter Catalogue is the Holiday Home set and matching framelits. It had also been a popular choice with my customers too! I do love the little houses and they are easy to colour, I've used the Blendablities on this card and will be running a class on using these fab pens on Saturday 25th October.
I have used a Cherry Cobbler card blank here, think thats my staple Christmas colour every year with some Silver satin ribbon, sister to my favourite Gold Satin ribbon!
The background was sponged with Pool Party ink and I added some of the Frosted Sequin snowflakes (love these)
The great thing about this set is that the sentiment is from the same set too, as is the tree!! A perfect set to get all your Christmas makes done!
That's all from me today! For those of you who have followed my blog for a long time, you may remember the day I took part in the Strictly Come Dancing event at the theatre company I am involved in. Well it is 5 years ago today since Ray and myself won this after learning the quickstep in a day! Since then I have discovered a hobby and a whole new circle of friends whom I have met through dancing, not to mention my boy who also discovered a skill and a hobby that has given him confidence! Here's the the next 5 years dancing......

Loving Holiday Home

Hello there! Yesterday I had a lovely day with a trip to dancing in the morning with my Son and then in the afternoon I got to grips with more preparations for my upcoming events.

My club ladies really favoured this Holiday Home stamp set and matching framelits this month, it was the most popular item and I LOVE it for how versatile it is, not just for Christmas
I coloured the houses with the Blendabilities pens which I am loving and I'm really excited as I have booked in my first class teaching colouring techniques with these pens on Saturday 25th October, check out my Classes/Events page at the top of my blog for more information.
I am so pleased we now have this set as I think it is so handy for New Home cards which I have obviously created here. The happy new home stamp and the heart stamp are separate stamps.
Another great thing about this stamp set is the price! As this set is one of the new Photopolymer sets it is great value at only £13.95 for 24 stamps!! How amazing is that? We also have 3 framelits that match the stamps and make cutting out easy! If you want to buy both together you save 15% and get them for £28.75.
Right, it's Sunday so as usual the ironing pile is calling me!
