Wedding Anniversary

Good morning to you all. Today is my 14th Wedding Anniversary!! I feel so old and dont feel like I am old enough to be married for that long!!
Here is the card I made for Robin, decided I should do a new one for him rather than one I had planned for class!!! Although I like this one so I might do this in class!!!!!!!
I have seen the fantastic bunting ideas on Monica's and Carol's blogs and I wanted to incorporate it on my card. The colours I have used are Ruby Red (retiring), Mellow Moss (retiring) and Soft Suede (staying - yeah!)
The papers I have used are from the Level 1 hostess pack, they have been really useful for projects, I hope we get some more in the new catty. I have watercoloured the truck with my ink pads and the watercolour brush. Remember the stamp set Loads of Love is 20% off this month so its only £15.16, let me know if you want one!!!!

Close up of the bunting which is made using the star punch and glue dots, I used some silver elastic thread too.

I also decorated inside the card with a sentiment from Cheer and Wishes set and some hearts from the small heart punch

Arty farty angle!
Hope you like it but most importantly hope Robino does, he never really comments on the cards though!!! I did come downstairs to find a bunch of lovely flowers and a card on the table this morning so thats perked me up!!!!
See you tomorrow

Loads of Love

Hello there
Here I am as promised with a card using the Loads of Love set. On first glance I always think this set is for men but here is a card I made for a female!
Using the Rose Red designer papers and the hearts in the back of the truck I have made this into a Valentine card. Watercoloured the truck with Rose Red ink and did some funky doodling around the edges of the card with the Rose red marker pen.

If you love this set why not take advantage of the current offer, this set is reduced from £18.95 down to £15.16 for the month of August only!
Back tomorrow!!

Sneak peek of a cute little monkey!

SOrry I am late today, I have had baby Lucas here today and he is a bit under the weather so no time for blogging!!
A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to attend some Stampin Up training at Sheffield and demonstrators usually swap cards or card fronts with other demonstrators!
Now I left mine to the last minute to see if the mini Pre order goodies arrived as I knew I wanted to use this cute little monkey!!!
I have stamped him 3 times and used the leaf from the new bird punch. The stamp set is called Fox and Friends and is available from me from next THursday 1st April.

The sentiment is from the Loads of Love accessories set, I thought it summed this card up!!

Arty farty angle,
Sorry for the quick post, I am exhausted! Had Lucas until 2 and then been to school assembly and then to my Mum and Dads new flat to help Mum clean the kitchen. My poor Mum has had the stress of movin house this week, aswell as everything else!!
Back tomorrow, promise!

Julie's Jems Challenge Card

Good morning
Firstly I want to start by wishing my lovely Siobhan a very happy birthday for today!!!!!!! Siobhan is one of my lovely downlines - happy birthday my love!!!!
I wont show you the card I have made for SHiv as she may not have it yet so here is a card for a Colour Challenge that one of my other lovely downlines Kate set us! The challenge was to use Pumpkin Pie, Really Rust and More Mustard
I already knew I wanted to use Loads of Love because I havent inked it up for AGES
I also used another set I havent used for a long time, Seeing Spots - a great set for making backgrounds and I love it for male cards.

I have coloured the image in with the Stampin Up inkpads and an aquabrush but I forgot to colour the driver in - Ooopps!!! The sentiment is from the accessories set and the stars are punched with the Star punch (which you can get for £10.00 if you buy the In the Stars co-ordinating stamp set!)

I added a couple of buttons for decoration!!!

I must use these more male images more often as when the boys saw me colouring this in they wanted to come and have a go!! We had a lovely half an hour together!!

Here is Evan colouring with the aquabrush!

Litte cutey!!! ( I am biased I know!)

And her is Ross colouring in a cupcake, I am not sure whether he can get any nearer to the table!!!!!! DOnt think his posture is quite right!!!
Thanks for reading today and please come back tomorrow and I will show you the card I made for Siobhan!

A Card and Snow!!!

Hello there
DO you have snow???? We have loads, school is closed, hubby had to turn round and come home, roads closed, must have about 8 inches or so now!!!!!!
So I am going to stay inside and work in my PJ's all day!!
OK here is another card from the challenge night I did. This was a really hard one for me! The first thing we had to do was MASKING! I am not really into masking but gave it a go!!!!
The second part, wait for it, was to use something from your home, recycle something you have in your house. I had to rack my brains! Anyway whilst scrummaging around the drawer in kitchen that is full of rubbish (we all have one dont we??) I found some old silver curtain rings as when we got new ones they have those large eyelets in so dont need rings!
I therefore used the ring to frame the sentiment on my card!! I have stuck this down with Tombow glue and I have to say it is stuck solid!!! The card wont stand up mind as its far too heavy and just topples over!

The stamp set is Good Neighbours and dont forget you can earn this one free if you spend £45 on SU products with me. I am also offering free P&P on all orders of £45 or over during January (please note this is not applicable for my Stampers clubs).

Arty farty angle shows you just how big the curtain ring is. I am really impressed that the glue has held it down!!!

OK, yesterday the boys school was still open, even though we had a lot of snow. Here is Evan on his way to school, not looking very happy. He has got his school shoes in a carrier (oh I remember those days). We had another 2 or 3 inches on top of this yesterday and we have had the same again overnight tonight!

Our street yesterday morning, loads more snow since this was taken.

Take care and keep warm

Good Neighbours Easel Card - with tutorial!

Good morning! Gosh yesterday was a nightmare! Boys were better but Robin and I were quite bad during afternoon and then in evening! We seem to be a bit better this morning!

I managed to do this before I felt so ill!!! A couple of my blog readers have asked for an Easel Card tutorial. There are lots of easel cards out there at the moment and I think they are a lovely design. They can be done as an A6 size or I prefer to do square ones. This one is a small square one

Ok start with a piece of card 4" x 8" and then score across the long side ar 4" and 6". You cannot see the score lines on the photo but at least it shows you which way your card should be!

You then need to fold the cardstock so it looks like this. Make sure you give the creases a really good fold with a bone folder or such like.

For my main image I have taken a piece of Very Vanilla card which is 3.5" square and for the matt at the back a piece of Really Rust card 3.75" square. I have then colured my image which is from the Sale a Bration set you can earn for free during Jan and Feb!! See above post for details!

I then stick the image to the matt and then stick onto my card base! VERY IMPORTANT POINT HERE, MAKE SURE YOU ONLY PUT TAPE HALF WAY UP THE BACK OF THE REALLY RUST CARD AS THE TOP HALF SHOWS!

I then took a piece of matching Designed Paper, this one is from the SPiced Cider papers, the size was 4" x 2" and I scallop the edge of it with my Scallop Edge punch and added some ribbon on the top

To keep the top part in place you can use a number of things, brads, flowers, ribbon in a bow or knot etc.... I have chosen to punch a sentiment out with my Oval punches to hold it in place.

And here is the finished card! I love this little house set, had fun doing some watercolouring wth this one today, I used my Close to Cocoa inkpads to colour the houses in.
If you would like to earn this set for free then contact me to place and order of £45 and it can be yours!!!!
Hope you enjoyed the little tutorial

Not much to show - sorry!

Not really got anything very exciting to show today - sorry!
I am absoloutely snowed under with wedding orders (which is great) but as the school holidays linger I am getting increasingley stressed over it all so just not had time to make a card or even justify the time to make cards!
Here is one I made for my regular customer who likes simple A5 cards
The papers are from the Ski Slope set by Stampin Up which are supposed to be for Christmas but these ones work well for mens cards. The DAD has been cut out on my cricut and then I have used the Loads of Love set and the tag punch to make the little sign at the top!

Shock horror but there is no arty farty angle today!
Thanks for reading todays drivel!!!

P.S I am actually going out tonight which you would think would cheer me up!! However I am going to see the theatre company I am in perform West Side Story so I will probably feel worse when I come out!!!!!

Sorry for so many photos, I get a bit carried away!!!!
The colour combo is a new one to me, Chocolate Chip, Brilliant Blue and Brocade Blue!

The papers are from the retired Brilliant Blue Designer Papers, fab for mens cards

Used my labels nestie and the Scalloped circle to keep the card closed. THe image is from Loads of Love, again a very versatile set as you get different accessories to stamp in the truck! I have gone for presents on this one!

Decorated inside aswell and I have added another nestie for you to write your message!

Night of Navy ribbon finishes it off!

Arty farty angle!!!!!
See you Thursday with a little project that I will be making at a workshop on Thursday night!

Mojo Monday Week 74

I can't believe I have only just got this set!!!!! Its one of those very versatile sets but I have never got it until now so I wanted to ink it up straight away!!!!! I decided to go "monotone" and had a Rose Red moment to tie in with the Loads of Love feel of the card! Papers are Rose Red designer papers and the ribbon is Pretty in Pink taffeta just to tone down the Rose Red! Lots of doodling on this card too!!!
Truck is watercoloured with ROse Red and Chocolate Chip inkpads.

The opening night went very well last night, a few very slight hiccups (not from me might I add!!!) but other than that, was fab!!! A great sense of achievement swept over us all when we took our bows to cheers and whoops!!!!!

Back tonight for more bloodshed!!!
