Best Dad Ever!

Good Morning! And its another post from me featuring one of my favourite retiring sets BEST DAD EVER!!! I love this set and think it is often overlooked as a Father's Day set but its so much more than that. !

You get the tie image and then 4 useful sentiments. I think this is a great set as it is fantastic for cards for 18-30 something males which I think are quite hard to cater for! Or what about for someone who has just got a new job??

Here are a few of my makes! I seem to only like using this set in one colour combination!!!

Remember the Dad stamp which is part of the For my Family set is also going!

If you would like to pop this on my next order then its going in tonight so feel free!
BEST DAD EVER - £13.95 in clear/ £16.95 in wood

Best Dad Ever!

Hey there. Another lovely sunny day today for us here in Yorkshire which is good as our eldest son has a cricket match for school and he has been asked to captain the school team! So proud of him!

Thought I would start sharing the male cards with you from last weeks Stamp a Stack event (next one is Friday 24th May). This was my favourite card of the evening and one I totally CASED from the "what would we do without" Pinterest site!

I love the colour combo of Bashful Blue, Summer Starfruit, Night of Navy, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla. Bashful Blue (the pale blue) is leaving us soon so please get your orders in for this if you need to stock up your card supplies

I have used 3 stamp sets on this card, Dapper Dad (watch), Beyond Plaid (checked background) and Best Dad Ever (sentiment)

Right I must dash as I have my club orders to pack and dish out!

Last of the Best Dad Ever class

Hello there! My Best Dad Ever cards got interrupted by Evan's birthday cards so I am back with the last one from the class.

This card uses one of the stamp sets I earned for free this year for various promotions as part of our Career Plan, its the sentiment part and its called A Fitting Occasion. For those of you who are customers of mine from the beginning you may remember Circle of Friendship, well it's like that but with a bit of a twist!!!!

You get a tonne of little images to stamp in the middle of the sentiments to personalise them! Here I have used the mini tie!!! The stamp a ma jig is definitely your best friend though with this set!

I also added some of the cute little ties inside the card too!

And here is the whole set!!

If you would like to make similar cards please join us on a Tuesday evening - we meet fortnightly and its £8 a session.

More Best Dad Ever

Hi there, here I am as promised with another card from our set of 3. Using the same colour combo this is a quick card for Dad! I love the For my Family stamp set which allows you to create personalised cards for your family and friends

I have used the new Argyle embossing folder, thinking the pattern goes with the ties like a golf jumper with a matching tie!!! Have you noticed the new Circle punch

I used the new Ticket builder punch to punch the DAD wording out and added an Island Indigo spotty brad.

Hope you like this more simple make - not as much cutting out on this one eh?!!!

RIght off to take my gorgeous boy to school!

Best Dad Ever

Hi there. At our latest Tuesday club my ladies asked to do male themed cards and I knew I wanted to create a class using this stamp set Best Dad Ever! This set featured on my recent customer newsletter. If you don't get a copy of this and would like to receive it please drop me a mail at julie.kettlewell@ntlworld.com or fill your details in at the right hand side of my blog!

The colour combo for the class was Old Olive, Chocolate Chip and Island Indigo. The first card we made is one I cased from somewhere and I cannot remember where now! It involved stamping lots of ties and then cutting them out! The ties do come in a block of 5 so its easier than you think!

The ties were added with Dimensionals for a 3D effect and then the sentiment laid across them with some silver brads.

The remaining ties were added inside!

I will be back with the other 2 cards tomorrow and Tuesday

Happy Sunday to you

Stamp a Stack of the male variety!

Phew its Friday already!!!

We all need male themed cards and a lot of my customers are "phobic" of making mens cards! Me - I love making them! Probably because I am from a house full of males! Except for me and the hamster!!!

So here is a token male card from our Stamp a Stack! I am loving this colour combo at the moment for male cards! Old Olive, Chocolate Chip and Island Indigo!!!

This card uses one of the sets I first ordered from the new catalogue - Best Dad Ever! I just love this set and the ties! It also comes with 4 fab sentiments and is great great value!

The card features another must have product! The chevron embossing folder! Chevrons are so on trend at the moment and I love the look of it on this card!

Like the ribbon?? We stamped it!! WIth the Border Banter stamp set from the Seasonal onto some of the Cotton ribbon! How cool is that ! Customised ribbon!!!

This card inspired me to do a whole class on this set which I shared at my Tuesday Club this week! More on that later!!

For now I bid you farewell (until tomorrow!)

Best Dad Ever!

Yesterday was a FAB day!!! My HUGE box of new goodies from the Brand New Catalogue arrived!! Look at the size of it!

Alas it isnt all for me!!!! About 1/3 of it is mine, the rest of for our Team Training Event in a couple of weeks time! Even though I have been a demonstrator for over 4 years, its still exciting to open a box of brand new goodies!!!

Once of the items I ordered was this stamp set called Best Dad Ever. Its a great value stamp set and I love the ties! I have ordered it in clear and I am going to cut the ties up on the rubber (if I dare!!) It comes with 4 brilliant sentiments for guy cards, ironically I havent used one on here, I have used a stamp from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set.

The colour combo is Old Olive, Marina Mist and Early Espresso with some Very Vanilla.

I also used the useful Woodgrain stamp set for the background.

Here is a little peek at the stamp set if you are fancying it!!! Great value at £16.95 in WOOD or £13.95 in CLEAR. I'm placing an order tomorrow so if you would like something adding to it please dont hesitate to contact me.

I thought I would leave you with this picture of my youngest!! He LOVES the new Glue Sticks and could not wait to use them on his homework!!! Did you know they are rectangular so you can glue in the corners easier!! You get 2 in a pack for £3.25 - how fab is that!!

Evan is taking one into school to put in his tray. I asked him what he would say if his teacher asked what they were. He said he would say "They are from Stampin Up, my Mum sells them from a Catalogue, but you might have to sign up!"

Ha ha ha!!!!

See you tomorrow!
