Rev up the Fun!

Good morning! Did you miss me yesterday? I just didn't have a spare half hour to blog yesterday! I left the house at 9.20 to take Evan to dancing and then from dancing we went straight to my card/scrapbook class for 1.30pm. Classes went fab yesterday (and on Friday) and all the ladies are loving making the male themed cards. Thanks for your messages saying how much you enjoyed the classes! After the class finished at 4.30pm, I hot footed it to the leisure centre to collect Evan who was at a party and had been picked up by a friend whilst we were at the church! We got home about 5pm, I unpacked and then had a little relax before bath and getting ready to go out dancing at the local ballroom for a friends birthday - home at 11.45pm!!! PHEW!!!

So today I am catching up with jobs as usual on a Sunday for me.
This is one of the cards from yesterday. It is very similar to a card we have made at a Stamp a Stack before but I added a masking technique to make the car look like it's moving. This is a fiddly technique but the ladies grasped it eventually!!!!

The rest of the card is very simple and once the technique had been achieved the assembly of the other parts was very quick. We used the Retro Fresh suite colours for all the cards, which I will share with you over the next couple of days!

Hope you like this technique? My next Technique Club will be Saturday 24th May.

Getting Shirty!

Hello there and how are you? Friday has certainly come around quickly this week with us having the Bank Holiday on Monday. I have my Stamp a Stack tonight with 13 lovely ladies all making 12 male themed cards each! I report back with each of the cards over the next week for you!

Here is the last of the cards we made on Tuesday evening! I love making these little shirts and I have made a few extra into cards to raise money for Ross's fund!

This card is 14cm square, would look great with a handmade envelope using the Envelope Punch Board and the same paper as the little shirt!
It's quite dark on the photos but I love the denim ribbon for the ties, it looks so cute!
Here are all 3 of the makes together. Which is your fave?
Right that's me off for today! I have to finish prepping for tomorrow's technique club and scrapbook club!

Male Tri-fold card

Good morning and it's another sunny one here in Yorkshire! Thank you for all the emails and messages on Facebook I have had about the male makes this month and how much you are enjoying them! I am really enjoying making them too!!!

Talking about males I want to mention my eldest son Ross as lots of you have been following his fundraising progress over the last 6 weeks. For those of you who don't know, Ross is going to Kenya for 4 weeks next year to take part in a Community and Conservation programme with Camps International. He has to raise £4000 to pay for the trip. We have put a plan in place and thanks to the kind hearts of many of my customers and team members we are doing so so well! Yesterday I mentioned to my fab Dad that we were only £17 away from £1000 so good old Grandad topped it up for Ross and we hit £1000 in 43 days!!! That's amazing, I feel very overwhelmed and so grateful for your help! If you wish to help Ross then you can email me to ask about donating but one of the things that is working best for us is the Easy Fundraising site where people shop online and it gives a percentage back! I swear there is no catch and its raised £170 in 6 weeks! You also feel a little bit more justified in your online spends knowing that it's helping!! Well I do anyway!!

Ok so onto the main event, here is another card from Tuesday evening and this style of card is the one I get most requests on my emails asking how I made it. I will do a video soon, I am owed loads of videos by Ross at the moment, I just have to wait for his homework to die down!!

Same stamps and colours as yesterdays card.
The cards were cut out and added to some acetate and glued down with Tombow glue.
We left a large space on the reverse of the card to write your greeting.
Hope you like todays make and enjoy the sunshine if you have it!
