Retro Fresh is ......... retro!

Well I am passed the end of April now and still sharing the male cards with you! I do hope you don't mind the additional inspiration?

Today's card is one inspired by a lovely make from the lovely Elaine, a member of our team. Elaine did a wonderful inspiration station using the Retro Fresh suite at our training in April and this circle card really caught my eye! Here is Elaine's original card below.
And here is my version which we created at last weeks Stamp a Stack session. It's very different and very retro I think! The sentiment I have used is from the hostess set Express Yourself - a lovely little set!
I think this card would suit teenage boys and young adults which I think are the hardest cards to do really. I hope you like this make, why don't you have a go at one yourself, it would work with lots of different papers and colour combos!

Loving Lovely as a Tree

Hello there and Happy Friday to you! Another week gone by in a flash and May already!

Today I am sharing a card from last Friday's Stamp a Stack. This was my favourite one from the class and was cased from my downline Allie (again) although I used very different colours. I have of course used my favourite Hardwood background stamp! I think I have definitely had my moneys worth out of this stamp!
I have paired it up with the Lovely as a Tree stamp, a timeless classic that is still in our catalogue since 2007. The colours I have used are Baked Brown Sugar for the Hardwood stamp and card base. The trees were stamped in Always Artichoke and then I sponged the sky with Pool Party and the grass with more Always Artichoke. It is a lot easier than it looks and very effective. I just use the sponges in the catalogue and cut each of them into 6 pieces.
The sentiment is from the Wetlands stamp set and I punched it out with the Ticket Duo punch (which I don't use often enough). I think I will make a batch of these up, they are so easy to do and a great male make! Thanks again Allie for the inspiration!

Happy Birthday Paulo!

Hello there! Today is a special day (as well as being the 1st May) as it is my lovely dance partner Paulo's birthday! His name is really Paul but I call him Paulo. I had to make him a nice bright card to match his bright personality. Those of my friends who know him will agree with me, he is a great person to have around and we never run out of things to talk about when we are together!

This was a card we made at the Stamp a Stack last week which I had in mind for using for Paul's birthday this week.
It uses a couple of colours that will only be with us for a few more weeks, Gumball Green and Midnight Muse. If you like these colours make sure you stock up ASAP as they will go very quickly when they go on the retirement list!
The other colour used is the ever useful Pool Party, which is still one of my top 5 Stampin Up colours!
Happy Birthday my lovely Paulo, hope you have a lovely day!
AND today we also have a fab NEW offer for you!!! When you spend £60 through May you get to choose one of our new Photo-polymer stamp sets for FREE.

Happy Shoping!
