Scrapbooking Saturday!

Once a month I get to spend a lovely Saturday afternoon with my Scrapbook Club Ladies!! I am so pleased I started these classes, not only because it got me scrapping but because they have been very successful and brought some new ladies to my classes!

Each month we have a "kit" and although I do a layout, its really interesting to see what layouts my ladies do!!

I managed to take a photo of a handful of them!

This is Ginnette's layout, we always do 2 pages

This month the theme was My Family and we used the Neighbourhood Wheel (ON OFFER THIS MONTH) and the All in the Family stamp set. The colour combo was Cajun Craze, Old Olive and Baja Breeze.

These next 2 are Ellie's layouts. Ellie is my friend from dancing and this is only the 2nd class she has been to, she is doing so well and I think she is getting the crafting "bug"!!!

Next up is the lovely Yvonne (this lady makes me laugh so much) who comes with her daughter Peita, they love their scrapbooking and are seasoned scrappers!!

Yvonne didnt quite finish hers, think the colouring in wiped her out!!

And finally one of the pages of my lovely friend and downline Shazza. These are her grandchildren, she had to squeeze them on one page!!

Hope you liked the scrapbook layouts. If you have been thinking about scrapbooking but don't know where to start please just drop me a line, julie.kettlewell@ntlworld.com

A bit of Scrapbooking

Hello there and Happy Sunday!!

As my loyal blog readers will know I have been loving my scrapbooking lately! My style is very simple and clean and not at all fancy but it works for me and I have lots of lovely ladies who have got the scrapping bug too!!!!! I must say I did this layout over a month ago and recently saw one on my friend Victoria's blog, she hadnt seen mine and I hadnt seen hers and it was spooky how similar they were!!

The layout includes the Neighbourhood Wheel which is on offer on the March Frenzy this month and is reduced to only £5.95! Its a fab wheel and well worth the money and great for New Home cards too!!

So onto the layout! LOTS and LOTS of colouring this month girls, bring your pens with you!!!!!! I reckon the colouring took me nearly half an hour and I am going to have to have a colouring table at class next week!!!!

I wanted to document pictures of what we all love doing, hence me being in my ballroom outfit, Ross in his cricket stuff and Evan in his dancing outfit!! Robin is just Robin as it was a nice photo of him!

Just love that little face of Ev's , so cute!!!!!

If you would like to come to my scrapbooking classes please do get in touch, they operate monthly on either Tuesday evenings or Saturday afternoons and I provide the kit each month! We are a FUN crowd and we always welcome new people!!

I am back!!!!

HELLLLOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
I am back!!!!
So sorry I neglected my blog last week. It was such a mad week that I decided to take a week off from blogging and making cards!!!! Felt nice to have a break but I have soooo missed it!!!
FOOTLOOSE - What can I say, it was spectacular, the audience reactions were fab, the show went so well and I got some amazing feedback for my role. It was very rewarding and very hard work. Dont think I can do another show this year, its just so demanding!!!! I have got some photos which I will upload later in the week!
So this week I am straight back into it!!! I had a worshop last night at the lovely Gemma's house - hello girls!! Fab bunch of girls I met last night!!!
Tonight is my Tuesday night class and we are making cards using the Stampin Up wheels. This is the first one we are making
Using the Neighbourhood wheel. The papers are from the Sweet Pea paper pack and the card base is Soft Suede. I have coloured the images in with the ink pads and my blender pens using the following colours, Soft Suede, Really Rust, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive. The sky has been coloured in with Bashful Blue ink and the aquabrush.

The sentiment is from the Bella's Bloom stamp set, punched out with the oval punches and I layered a loop of Soft Suede spotty grosgrain ribbon behind it.

Just when I was feeling a bit low with the show being over, look what arrived yesterday to cheer me up!!

Its my travel documents for Monaco!!!!!!!

I go 3 weeks tomorrow and I am so excited

Right I must dash as the boys are making lots of noise upstairs and I dont think it is related to them getting dressed
Back tomorrow - promise

Sad day!

Today good friends of ours are moving away from their house round the corner from us! I am feeling very sad about it as we have become good friends. They are only moving 12 miles away but obviously the children are moving schools and I know Evan is really going to miss his little friend Adam! I will miss his Mum of course too!!!
Here is the card I made for them, it was the first card I made in my new craft room!
Its another Tri-fold card using colours of Old Olive, Really Rust and Pumpkin Pie. I have used the Neighbourhood wheel and coloured it with the matching Stampin Up markers.

The papers are a mix of Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie designer papers

The small text was done on my laptop and the large text was done using my Schoolbook Serif Alphabet (again).

I can safely show this today as I posted card last night (didn't want an emotional farewell!)
I know Jane (and Jenny) reads my blog - so The Woodcocks, I hope you love living in your new home, we are all going to miss you a lot, walking home from school won't be the same!!!
Thats all for today folks

Wonders with Wheels class - This Saturday

On Saturday I will be having a card class in Pudsey using the Stampin Up Wheels. Its the perfect chance to have a go with the wheels if you don't have any. We will be making a variety of different cards.
Here is one of the cards we will be making using the Neighbourhood wheel to make a New Home card.
Using a colour combo if Earth Elements, a very simple card using a lot of colouring in! I have coloured with the markers but you can use the inkpads and a brush or blender pens.

Inside is a little house that I have stamped again, cut out and stuck to the insert!
I have a couple of places left, if you would like more info please mail me on julie.kettlewell@ntlworld.com

All in the Family

When I saw this set in the new catalogue I was so excited!!! The All in the Family set is so versatile as you can make a card for anyone with this set!!! I made the Auntie card a few weeks ago and stamped a minature version of my sons with my sister. Then a couple of weeks ago I stamped a Brother card for my little boy and added two boys on the card.
Here is another way of using the set, this is a New Baby card with a difference!! Now I have to tell you I was in a rush to make this card so its not quite as fancy as I would of liked it to be but my friend liked it. The funny thing is, her husband is bald but there were no "mens heads" in the set that didn't have hair on!!!! So I had to use the babies head for the Daddy and mask off the little curl on top!!!
The houses in the background are from the Neighbourhood wheel which I used for the first time and coloured in (very quickly and a bit messy!) with my Earth Elements Watercolour Wonder Crayons. Paper is Sweet Always and used my scallop edge punch.
It was nice to have a break from Christmas cards to be honest!!!
