Happy 40th Ellie

Yesterday was my lovely dancing friend, Ellie's 40th birthday. We went out to celebrate this last Saturday evening at the local ballroom where we enjoyed an evening of dancing and laughter!! I arranged with the ballroom to decorate a few tables in one corner with balloons and other "adornments" as my friend Bev called them, to surprise Ellie!!

It was her actual birthday yesterday and we celebrated again at dancing last night, giving her this card and a gift token for a dance shop!

Ellie's favourite colour is purple/plum and she makes no secret of it, everyone seems to know!! So I decided that it had to be Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant!

The card is a large 8x8 inch card blank and the ballroom stamp is non-SU, sorry but we dont do a ballroom stamp!!!

I used the Fun Flowers die and added the 40 to the centre of it. The sentiment is from Curly Cute and Ellie's name has been done with the Timeless Type alphabet.

I even did some more sewing on the card too!!! Ellie also loves her bling so I made sure that there was plenty of it on her card!

I also made a gift voucher holder to hold the voucher we bought for her from the Dancewear shop. Will be back with that tomorrow!

Big Shot Bits and Bobs!

Fab workshop at Elaine's last night, some old friends and some new ones too which is always good! Thanks Elaine for having me!!!!

I was going to show the projects we made last night but I am doing the same ones at Beryl's workshop tomorrow night so I will save them for another day!!

Here are a few bits I made with my Big Shot

Pillow Box, very very quick and easy to do and makes lovely table gifts or favours

Basket, made using the Scallop Evelope die, again very very easy to make!

And finally a really cute little treat pouch, just big enough for a little chocolate bar. It uses the Top Note die and the Word Window punch

I have added the Fun Flowers die and the Little Leaves die.

Team Training Projects

Well its been another busy week thats gone by far too quickly. I was busy prepping for my Owl Class yesterday, really looking forward to that tomorrow!

On Tuesday and Wednesday this week I had the pleasure of spending sometime with some girls for our team at our Monthly Team Training events. As usual we had lots of fun (very important) but they went away all fired up for another good month. We were working on projects for workshops with the Big Shot.

Here are our projects we made which are the same as I have been demoing at my workshops in April.

Using the Fun Flowers die we made this card for a great Make and Take. I experimented with a new colour combo, Crumb Cake, Marine Mist and Rose Red.

Love the texture on the flowers and keep wondering, were my cards boring before the Big Shot???? It's lovely to add some texture to backgrounds etc.

This was a simple little Make and Take for those who didnt own the Fun Flowers die. A really quick card which showcases probably the stamp set I have sold the most of so far - Four Frames.

And finally a Hostess Gift and Demonstration project made with the Top Note Die.

Please excuse my thumb, when I checked my velcro dots, I only had black and it looked naff so I left one off!!

Happy Birthday Sharon

Good morning - gosh I could get used to these long weekends!!

Yesterday it was my lovely downline Sharon's birthday. Like Karen, Sharon has been a long serving customer of mine and just signed up with me in January this year (have to say she is doing amazing too). Anyway here is the card I made for Sharon.

I know she is a fan of the new Springtime VIntage papers and she loves Rose Red so I stamped her name in Rose Red. Added some flowers from the Fun Flowers Die and embossed some too

THese cards take minutes to put together now that we have the Big Shot, makes such a difference.

Thats all from me today - I have to do lots of chores then I am expecting a visit from my lovely downline Lynda and then I have rehearsal at tea time!!!

Sharing Scrapbooking

Phew - I am updating my blog to have a little rest! Have been outside "trimming" the conifers since 9.30 this morning and I am shattered already!!!!

I thought I would share with you some of the layouts my wonderful scrap club ladies did last Saturday. I didnt manage to get photos of all of them but here are a few for you!!

The theme was LOVE and the ladies got a kit with the Love Letters papers and some buttons, card and ribbon. We used Mr Big Shot of course and there were lots of flowers and letters going on!!!!

I love how Peita has kept this simple and used the paper to its full potential, she even managed to do all her journalling!

Look at that gorgeous embossing!

I love Yvonne glam look in these photos, she makes me laugh every month at our club - lovely and very funny lady!!!

She took over the die cutting area with all these letters! I think I took this photo just has she moved her page!!

We also had a new lady - June - join us and she thought she wouldnt even get one page done but in fact she nearly finished the other one!! Thanks for joining us June!

Bride's Room Door Sign

Good morning to you!

A few months ago I was asked to make a Door Sign for the Brides room for one of my wedding customers. I thought I would make one with Stampin' Up! products and in particular the Fun Flowers Die

The colour combo is simple, Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake and I have gone to town with the flowers.

I ran them through the Big Shot to cut them and then I ran them through again to emboss them with the Vintage Wallpaper folder - my fave!

I used a lot of pearls on this project but I think it was worth it! The letters are stamped with the Broadsheet Alphabet set.

Hope you like it, it decorates my conservatoire very nicely!

Hope you are well. I had a fabulous workshop last night at lovely Ann's house. Ann has never had a workshop before although she has attended others and she wasn't sure if she would get enough people together. I have to say she ended up with 11 people and got some great sales. Thanks Ann for having us last night - the spread of cakes and buns was amazing!!

This is the Demo project and the Make and Take.

I based this colour combo on a beautiful swap I got from my wonderful downline Jeannette on Saturday, I also used one of her cards as the basis of my card too! Thanks Jeannette!

I demoed how to make this cute little purse with the Top Note die and the Scallop Circle die.

And here is the card the ladies made. We ran a piece of Crumb Cake DSP through the Big Shot with the VIntage Wallpaper embossing folder and it gave it a really vintage aged look because of the white core of the paper.

The flowers are the Fun Flowers die and I have embossed the top one and the sentiment is from Thank You Kindly stamped onto the Four Frames stamp and punched out with the new Decorative Label Punch.

Some thin Taffeta ribbon was threaded through the button to add a bit of interest!

I really enjoyed myself and want to thank my lovely friend Ginnette who helped me all night and made a great travel buddy!!!

Love Scrapbook Page

Good Morning!!

This weekend its my monthly Scrapbook Club. Every month we have a different layout and theme and this months its LOVE!!!! I decided to scrap about the love I have for my lovely boys!

There is a lot of Big Shot action going on in this layout and I am sure the girls are looking forward to that on Saturday!!

We always do 2 12x12 layouts and the girls do some fantastic pages.

Can you believe this is the only bit of stamping on my pages!!! I almost didn't stamp at all!!!! Its using the new Four Frames stamp set and the matching Decorative Label punch.

Right thats all for me now, going to make the last preps for a Stampin Up workshop tonight - looking forward to seeing the ladies!

Flowers and Milk Cartons

Good morning! Weather is horrible again today - great excuse to stay inside and craft I think!!!

I wanted to show you some of the things I made for my displays on Saturday. As soon as I saw the Fun FLowers die I wanted to try and make some "real" flowers in a vase with them. Here is my feeble effort!! My lovely wedding flower friend gave me some floristry wire and some of tha green tape and I thought yeah this will be easy!

Dont think I will ever make a florist! That tape was hard to handle!!! So dont look too close at the stems but here are the flowers!!

Added some of the beautiful new seam binding ribbon to the centre of them

The ladies who attended my launch got a little mini milk carton each, well they had to pick one each! Each of them contained a Lindor ball (my fave chocs) but one of them contained a Pear Pizazz button and that was my prize winning carton!! It was fun seeing the ladies pick a milk carton and was even more funny that the one left to last that no one picked was the winner!! Well done Jane for winning the ribbon!

The papers are of course the Springtime Vintage. I am eagerly awaiting new supplies of these as I have used up my pre order stash!!
