A Birthday and an Anniversary!

Hey there! I am so late posting today, which is due to technical issues I have had with the uploading of photos on here! Anyway, here I am now only a few hours late!
Today I am sharing 2 cards that I made to celebrate 2 occasions yesterday! The one on the left was for Sonia to celebrate her 5 years as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and the one on the right was for Sarah-Jane to celebrate her thirty some-thingth birthday!
Essentially they were both the same inside, just different on the outside. I got this idea from my dear friend and downline Sam who makes amazing creations. I will share Sam's card at the end of my post! It is MUCH better than mine and more detailed but it gave me the idea to do the 2 cards like this.

I have used the Starburst Sayings like I did on yesterdays card. I am getting right into them now, I love doing a u-turn when I initially wasn't sold on a product!
And here are 3 photos of the lovely creation by Sam that inspired me. I am sure you will agree with me that it is amazing
Thanks Sam

Oh, Happy Day!

Well it's Monday again and both boys are back at school today! Yesterday we had a lovely family day. Ross's friend slept over on Saturday night so we had a lie in and then later on in the day we were entertaining a guest from Belgium for the afternoon, friend of a friend! We took him to Leeds City Museum which is a fab free museum in the heart of the City Centre with a lovely cafe. Then we came home and had a lovely tea and watched TV for the evening.
This is one of the cards we made at our All Day Stamp a Stack on Saturday. I love running these events. I won't lie, they take a lot of work and planning but seeing the ladies enjoying their crafting for a full 6 hours is totally worth it. My next All Day Event will be super sized at my mini retreat on 29th March. Check out the events page for more info - I have 6 places left.
I love the fresh look of this card and to be honest I wasn't sold on the Starburst Sayings at first BUT just like my customers I only have to see one fab project made with them and then I NEED them!!
This card combines 3 of the FREE Sale-A-Bration products, the Banner Blast stamps, the matching punch and the papers too! Which I just LOVE!!!
Hope you have a HAPPY DAY!

Lovely events

Hello there, hope your weekend is going well? I have had a busy couple of days, hence the lack of blog yesterday! On Friday night I ran a Stampin Up party for Anne. This must be the 4th party that Anne has hosted for me along with many other parties that her guests have hosted for me too. They are a great bunch of ladies and I always feel at ease when I am demo'ing for them! Plus Anne makes the best cakes ever, you will see below!
This is a regular sight in my craft room, my bags packed up ready to go to the party. Here are the first shift of ladies doing the make and take card. People often worry that their homes aren't big enough to accommodate the needs of a Stampin Up party but I always do the make and take in separate sittings to ensure everyone gets to make a card.
As you can see the array of cakes on offer was fab! My boys will agree too as Anne kindly sent some home for them!
And then this was the sight from Saturday morning. All the items ready for my All Day Stamp a Stack for 18 ladies. They all made 24 cards each - you can work out how many cards I had to cut and score!
I spent quite a while sorting my displays, I love setting up all my makes for my ladies to get inspiration from.

The raffle was popular as always and I made these tags for the prizes! I had a little spiral flower theme going on …..
….which continued with the goody bags!
And my lovely friend Mel did the catering for me again, including these "Crumb Cake" iced cupcakes!!!
A huge thank you to all my ladies for attending, to my Robino for helping me set up at 9am, to the fab Mel for the food and to the girls who helped me clear up at the end and pack my car!
If you would like to attend one of my events please check out the Classes/Events page at the top!
Back tomorrow to share the cards we made
