So I have been away on the Stampin Up 2014 Incentive Trip since the 3rd of May and just got back yesterday! I managed to schedule lots of blog posts whilst I was away so hopefully you didn't miss me too much? We have had the most amazing time and the cruise life is definitely something we enjoyed. It's been a long trip though and I was very happy to be back with our boys again yesterday, have missed them like crazy and wished we could have taken them but we couldn't take them out of school! :(
Our trip actually began on the Friday night when we travelled down to Heathrow for our Saturday morning flight direct to Miami. It was a long flight and those who know me know that I hate flying but I coped and we were soon in Miami airport. After what seemed an age we arrived at our hotel and the check in clerk said "today is your lucky day, you have been upgraded to an executive suite". Imagine our surprise when we were ushered to the 33rd floor and greeted by this amazing suite! It had a lounge area, a dining area with a table to seat 8 people, an office, 2 bathrooms and a huge bedroom complete with massive bed and a chaise lounge!
It was soon morning and after a lovely breakfast and a wander around the area we were on our way to Fort Lauderdale to meet the Allure of the Seas for the first time!
This is the Miami Heat Basketball stadium which was so close to our hotel. I took these photos for my son Ross who loves following Miami Heat and records all the games.
Before long we had this view of our home for the week through the coach window. You cannot grasp just how big it is until you are at the side of it!
Typically there were a lot of problems with the system that issues the sea pass cards and boarding took a LOT longer than it normally does! We sat in this holding area (photo on the right) for a LONG time until we finally were on board!
My Sea Pass card!
Hope you enjoyed todays first instalment, check back tomorrow for part 2!
Hope you had a fantastic time and looking forward to part two tomorrow and WOW what a lucky upgrade, Love cruising - they are the best holidays, take care x Susan x
