Today our boy is 10 years old! I think he was only 5 when I started this blog and was only 4 years old when I started making cards in 2006. He has only ever known me as a crafter!!!!!!
So I had to pull out all the stops for his 10th birthday! He mentioned an Angry Birds card in passing the other week so after a little digging on the internet I found a couple of really good cards and cased them to make my own for Evan. Its A5 in size just to give you an idea. I really enjoyed making all the little "creatures" and caught up with Strictly results and Homeland whilst I made them!
I must say I am really pleased with the outcome and so was Evan!! Even big Brother Ross thought it was cool too!
I think the key is spending time using the Sponge Daubers around your punched out shapes, they really make a difference and really make them pop!
You do get stuck up with glue a lot and I should have used my adhesive eraser before I took the photos but I forgot!
Well the Birthday Boy loved it and loved his pressie of an XBox too! He has waited 2 years for one but I have always put him off having one - finally had to give in this time!
RIght thats me off, will be back with the card I made from Ross to give him tomorrow!
Take care
Julie x
