More Owls

Hello there, WOW its Thursday already! Before I begin todays post I want to say thank you for your lovely comments yesterday!! It was lovely to read them!

Today I am busy preparing for a Stampin Up party on Friday night at my house and then my Stamp a Stack finishing touches for Saturday! I am looking forward to seeing all the ladies make lots of cards, my guillotine and Simply Scored tool have been on overdrive!

Here is another card from our Tuesday club, this one took the longest due to the leaves and cutting the ows out etc...

The tree is made from Soft Suede card and uses the very useful new Woodgrain embossing folder in the Seasonal Catalogue - a must for male cards. On this card I used some of the new Googlie eyes that we sell which match one of the Halloween sets, Googly Ghouls but they also fit the owls in this set too!

The bottom owl has a bit of a squint going on here!

Hope you like this one! Will be back with another one tomorrow for you!

Silly Old me!!!!

Hello there and Happy Easter to you!!

Today I am sharing a little card with you and a silly story!!! A couple of weeks ago we went out dancing to a local ballroom with a crowd of us from our dance school as we were celebrating 2 birthdays from our group!!! One of my friends celebrating was Stuart and I sneakily messaged everyone to bring him a card, he was a bit overwhelmed with the amount of cards!!

The next day his Mum (also a friend) popped up to chat to me on Facebook to thank me for the lovely card I made for Stuart and that he loved it!!! Trouble was I forgot to write inside it!!!! Have you ever done that??? They worked out it was from me though as it was a handmade one and Stuart has joked I can send it again to him next year now!!

This card is just liked one I made at a Stamp a Stack a while back but with the addition of the letters to spell out Stuarts name!

Colours are Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo, Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla

Have a good day whatever you are doing

Cupcakes and Sweet Treats!

Good morning! Last night saw the return of my lovely Tuesday CLub, we welcomed a new member - Katie, "Hi Katie"!

After all the Christmas crafting I wanted to come back in 2012 with something fresh and very un-Christmassy so I decided to use the fantastic Create a Cupcake and matching punch. What a hardship eh???

Here are the projects we made

This cute little tag was a little addition to the class using the Two Tags BigShot die

For this card we used the topping from the Cupcake punch to make ice creams and the cones were made from the Pennant Parade stamp set.

The colour combo for the class was Pool Party, Pink Pirouette, Crumb Cake, Certainly Celery, Perfect Plum and So Saffron.

This is my favourite card, I CASED it from my upline Monica's card, which I just loved when I saw it, although I have changed all the colours and the background too. This card took longer than the others but I think its worth it and I am not sure if any of last nights ladies want to give this one away!

And finally a simple card which uses the brand new Large Scallop Circle punch, a really great addition to our product offering,

I hope you like these cards, would love you to leave me a comment! I am really enjoying my crafting these last few days, this Mini Catalogue is stunning and has really helped me with my lack of energy and desire to craft - I can't stop now!!!!

Back tomorrow with more makes

Craft Party

On Friday evening I ran a craft birthday party for one of my loyal customers daughters birthday! Annabel and 5 of her friends enjoyed making the owl projects below!!

First up was the hardest project of the evening, a tree card with the party owl popping out of the tree. The tree was created using the Woodgrain background stamp with a 1 3/4 circle punched out.

We then added a party banner with the Petite Pennant punch.

Next up was a simpler card and I had already die cut the Top Notes so I didnt have to take my Big Shot with me!
And finally the girls made a bookmark!!

Thanks for inviting me Kate and I am pleased they enjoyed it!!

Workshop projects

Last Tuesday I did a workshop for one of my lovely customers Anne and her group of card class ladies. Anne is a convert to Stampin Up and uses some of it in her classes so lots of the ladies were familiar with the product and the quality!

I decided to keep with the Pennant Parade make and take from my October workshops and we made the card below. I also demoed how to make the Gift Card holder on the right using the same colour combination.

The ribbon is the new Cherry Cobbler Scallop Dotty ribbon which I love! The papers are from the In Color Designer Series Paper Stack, 40 sheets of 12x12 in a pad, brilliant value!

I made this little hostess gift for Anne to say thank you (she also got the Gift Card holder I demoed and now all her ladies want to make them this week!!!)

Thanks for having me Anne and enjoy your hostess freebies!

Aviary Cards

Good morning! Today's the day, I am on my way to Convention! Travelling with my lovely downline Shazza, Jill and Nicky and meeting up with the rest of our team at Disneyland Paris - there are 18 of us in total!!!!!

Today I am sharing a couple of cards with a stamp set I really hoped we would get, but I dont actually own it yet!! You see, I am earning this set free from Stampin Up as a reward and will collect it in Paris! My lovely friend Jane lent me her stamp set so I could at least make some samples up with it - thank you Jane!

The first card is teamed with the Flirtatious papers. The orange mat behind the image is one of the laser cut pieces of paper which I have cut out.

The next card was inspired by one I saw at our Leeds Stampin Up Training event back in September! I just loved the card so I copied it!

I used the new In Colors on this one

And the new Large Lace Border Punch

Right thats me off for now, I will hopefully be back tomorrow with a scheduled post!

Whats a workshop??

We have a fantastic offer for you from now until 15th December. If you host a workshop that generates sales of over £300 you will earn a free stamp set and matching papers. The Paisley Petals set and papers could be yours!!!

I have some workshops already booked in for these dates and November is looking quite busy but please contact me if you would like to host a Stampin Up party. To my Virtual Hostess club ladies, please note that your hostess clubs will also count if you go over the £300.

So what do we do at a workshop? Well its a fun session with you and your friends and I demonstrate carious Stampin Up products. All your guests will get to make a card and take it home and hopefully they will order lots of lovely products and you will receive free Hostess Pounds. See the table above on the Promo leaflet.

This is the card my October workshop ladies made.

A simple card with Pennant Parade as a Christmas tree and uses other new products like the ribbon punch and the Petite Pennant punch.

I also showed the ladies how to make the smaller shape from their Decorative Label punch too!

This is the little hostess gift I demonstrated, perfect for your Christmas table or even your tree.

And I always show the ladies an "upgraded" card with more products on so they can see how it can look with a few changes and added extras.

The whole set together.

If you think a workshop is something you would like to book then please contact me and I will give you a call.
