Rev and Chev!

Hello there! I am late posting today as I have been up to Evan's school this morning to see him get a special award for his hard work throughout the whole of the term - January to this week. He has never had one of these Special Endeavour awards and as a surprise they text the parents to invite them sneakily to see them get their awards in assembly. I think he was very surprised and a little embarrassed that we were there! Bless him, we are so proud of him and his brother! He was nearly as tall as the headteacher when he was stood next to her!

On Tues and Weds I held out team training events and this month we are focussing on male themed projects. We used the Rev up the Fun set and the Positively Chevron set, hence the title Rev and Chev!!
I chose a colour combo of Pumpkin Pie, Soft Suede, Pool Party and Island Indigo.
This was a fun card which the girls enjoyed making, with a hidden message inside which you discover when you pull the scalloped tag.
I am running a class on Saturday 26th April which includes the Rev up the Fun stamp set. I only have a couple of places left, would be lovely if you could join us. Have a great weekend

Hip Hip Hooray - the enhanced version!

Hi there! No blog from me yesterday as I had a couple of busy days running 2 Team Training events. This month we worked on male themed projects! I'll share those probably tomorrow!

On Saturday at our All Day Retreat I wanted a project for the evening that didn't take too much brain power and was also challenging enough for those whose energy levels were still ok!
I decided to use the Hip Hip Hooray kit and the ladies got a full one each. Those ladies who were flagging could simply follow the step by step guide and make the simple cards OR I shared these "stepped up" projects with them that just required a little bit more effort. Sorry for the abundance of photos but I am quite proud of these and I really enjoyed making them. All I added was one sheet of Whisper White, one sheet of Tangerine Tango and some ribbon.
Even if you are a seasoned crafter this kit could still be for you and you can step up your makes just like I have done, with bits left over too!

See you tomorrow

40th wishes across the miles!

Hi there and I hope you enjoyed yesterdays post all about our wonderful retreat day? I am so looking forward to planning the next one!

When I was little I always wanted a proper Pen pal who I could write letters to and eventually meet one day. With the ever rising popularity of social media it's now a lot easier to have virtual Pen pals across the world. Stampin' Up! has brought me MANY and I mean loads of new friends from all over the world, I will be forever grateful for this and today I am sharing a card I made and sent as a surprise to my lovely Aussie friend and fellow "Mrs K", Sarah Klass! I have LOVED Sarah's work and style of blog writing for ages and often had thought what a cool lady she sounded! And don't get me started on her amazing My Digital Studio skills!! A few months ago Sarah messaged ME! I was a little star struck! She was asking for advice on classes etc.. and we had a Skype call, fast forward to today and a few Skype calls later and many many Facebook chats we are the firmest of friends and I cannot wait to meet her, Mr K and her adorable Hannah and Sophie when we all go on the cruise together in a few weeks time!
A couple of weeks ago it was Sarah's 40th birthday (how cool we are the same age too!), 2 x 40 year old Mrs K's!!!! I sneaked her address from her Mum (who I found on FB) and sent her this card in the airmail post! Safe to say it has arrived safely and I can share it with you.
Bit of a combination of a few different makes of mine.
Happy 40th Birthday again Sarah, can't wait to meet you!
