Wedding Card

Good Afternoon (I don’t often say that)! I am late blogging today as we have been out and about again this morning! Went to order a lovely new sofa for our family room. Because we are upstairs I decided to go for a modular option where you attach the separate parts of the sofa together so that we know it will go up the stairs OK! One half is due in 7 weeks and the other half is due in 15 weeks!!!! 

So today I am sharing another card from the All Day Stamp a Stack last month. It uses the very popular Something Lacy and the always useful Butterfly punches. 

The background has been stamped with the Crisp Cantaloupe ink which will leave us in a few weeks. If you love any of the 2013-2015 In Colours then my advice is to get them now! I cannot stress this enough. The retirement list comes out on Tuesday 21st April and they will all be gone in no time! Don’t forget your re-inkers too! The butterflies were punched out in our vellum and some Rhinestones were then added. The sentiment is from the lovely wedding stamp set in the Spring/Summer - Your Perfect Day

 Right must dash, lots more work today as well as some of the dreaded housework done! My youngest boy, Evan is going for 2 teeth out this afternoon! Thankfully his Dad is taking him!

Something Lacy Technique Projects

Happy Sunday to you all! Today I am excited to share with you the final project from my Heat Embossing Technique class that I ran yesterday.  I have previously shared the other projects we made but I have added them at the end of this post in case you missed them

For this project we created a vellum treat bag using the thinlits die and then we embossed the bag in white emboss powder using Versamark. 

I broke into my Your Perfect Day stamp set to make this into a wedding project, either a card or a gift wallet for the happy couple.

 I went for a colour combo of Smoky Slate and Blushing Bride which reminds me of my bedroom at home in the 80’s as it was decorated in shades of pale grey and pale pink. 

 The inside image is stamped in Smoky Slate and then coloured in with Blushing Bride using the Blender Pens. On the front I added a large bow which my ladies weren’t too happy with me about as all the projects had bows on them! 

 So here are the other 2 projects we made.

Something Lacy Technique

Hello there. I am excited to share today’s project with you as I am really pleased with how it has turned out. This is a card we will be making on Saturday at my Technique Class using the Something Lacy background stamp and embossing techniques.

The colours I have used are Crumb Cake, Coastal Cabana, Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry, a combination I have used quite a bit before.

 This isn’t a large card, only 4x4 inches but I think it has enough impact.

 I had a little bit of the patterned design left so I added it to the inside of the card, nothing goes to waste!

Wendy’s Birthday

Good Morning folks! I was actually up early today as I have SUCH a busy day! The Asda delivery guy was knocking on the door at 8am and Evan’s best friend has just arrived as we are looking after him this morning, as well as my little nephew Lucas who will be turning up in about half an hour! Ross is going into school shortly for extra GCSE work and my friend Wendy is calling at lunch time as its her birthday today. Phew, more going on this afternoon too - tired just thinking about it! Talking of birthdays here is the card I have made to give Wendy today. I tell a lie actually, this is the card I designed for my Heat Embossing Technique Class on Saturday 27th February (4 places left) and I loved it so much I had to make another for Wendy.

 I have used the Something Lacy background stamp which I stamped onto Whisper White card with Versamark ink and then I poured Pool Party emboss powder over the top and heat embossed it. The very last photo gives you an idea of the effect of the embossing and how it looks.
