Blessed Easter

Hello there! It's Monday all over again but it's only a back to school day for one boy in our house as my youngest has a Training Day today so we will have a slower morning than usual.

Today I am sharing another card from my Stamp a Stack event using a couple of items that are no longer available after 30th June. One is the Perfectly Penned sentiment set which is on the Retirement List, so could sell out sooner than the 30th. The other is the Blessed Easter set which is in the current Spring/Summer catalogue until the end of the month.

I have cut the sentiment off from the image and mounted it on the other side of the block so I can get more use out of the tulips stamp. The background stamp Dictionary is safe and will be in the new catalogue!. I really enjoyed designing this card and it was a popular one on the night. We stamped the tulip stamp onto Sahara Sand in Stazon and then coloured with the ink pads and blender pens.

Of course my trusty Crumb Cake seam binding was added to finish the card off!

Simple Stippled Blossoms

Good Morning! It's a little bit wet and wild here today so I am enjoying being at home. Today I am sharing a simple non-Christmas make. We made this at my recent Stamp a Stack. The last Stamp a Stack for 2013 is on Friday 29th November - I have places left if you want to come along and make 12 last minute Christmas Cards.

So the card blank was made from Naturals Ivory cardstock. Often overlooked this cardstock is excellent for card bases and I love the recycled look of it too. It also works out very good value too. The colours I used here are Blushing Bride and Rose Red and the sentiments are from Perfectly Penned and Amazing Family.

Little extras with Best of Flowers

Good morning! Quick little post from me today as I have to take Evan to dancing this morning and then sort my craft room out for a This and That class I am hosting this afternoon!

Whilst making the cards I shared over the last couple of days I decided to make some 3D scrunched flowers from the same stamp which I punched out with the 1 1/4 scallop circle punch.

I spritzed them all over with water and then I screwed them up into little balls and left to dry. I then added 3 on top of each other to create the scrunched flower and added a large Rhinestone.

I also made this cute little gift package using the same flower and a labels framelit.

Right I must dash to sort out my dancing boy!

Simple version of yesterdays card

Good morning to you. I am a little late in updating my blog today as I have walked Evan to school (then back for me). Mow that we have moved we live 1 mile from his primary school so we try and walk it at least twice a week! Its mostly uphill on the way there so it's great exercise for both of us!

Today I am sharing a simple version of the card I shared yesterday.

Best of Flowers Team Training

Good morning. Really quick post from me today as I am a little late typing this up and I have still got to nip in the shower before the school run!

On Tuesday night and Wednesday morning I ran our monthly team training events. As well as covering all the business topics we also do some crafting!! Here is one of the cards we made using the Best of Flowers stamp set which you can order now.

The colour combo is Crumb Cake, Pool Party and Midnight Muse and I have to say I am liking this combo, came across it purely by accident and I think it works!

As you can see I have used my trusty Seam Binding (so pleased it isnt retiring!!)

Last of the Best of Flowers (for now!)

Good morning and it's another scorcher today! I am sharing the last of the set of Best of Flowers cards I made last Monday using this gorgeous image from the set.

The card base is Island Indigo and we added some Crumb Cake and Early Espresso. Little bit of paper pricking and embossing on the layered ovals for a little more interest.

I have used my trusty Crumb Cake seam binding ribbon again - its my "go to" ribbon and I always have lots in my ribbon basket. The sentiment is from Perfectly Penned again which is a new fave of mine (I seem to have a lot of "new faves")

More Best of Flowers

Good morning, what a glorious day it is today in Yorkshire! I am still struggling as I have a really bad sore throat and cough which finally came to a head yesterday - I could hardly speak! Some may say thats a good thing though!!

On Monday evening I had a little crafty challenge session with my downline Sally Jo. I have got loads of these lovely napkins from my local bargain store which I use in classes etc when serving cakes and I keep saying what a fab colour combo they are!! SO we set ourselves a challenge to make 4 cards with this combo using the new Best of Flowers stamp set! The colours we chose for the combo were Early Espresso, Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo, Crumb Cake, Island Indigo and Whisper White.

I shared one of the cards yesterday but here is the first one we made. We also decided to use a greeting from the Perfectly Penned stamp set on each of them. It was great to bounce ideas off each other. This design was Sally Jo's concept and I just copied!!!

We did fussy cut around the flower but did you know the 1 1/4 scallop circle fits around it? How cool!

Right thats all from me today as I have to do chores and such like!!! I'll be back tomorrow with another one from our challenge.
