Santa's Sleigh meets Merry Medley

Good Morning. Things have been a little bit crazy this week. On Monday I decided I needed the day off from the studio after an action packed weekend working there all day on Saturday and then on Sunday I worked for my lovely neighbours the Rainbow Factory in their Santa's Grotto as one of his helpers. It was so lovely to see the children and the parents enjoying their visit with Santa. Yesterday we were in Derby all day as Ross had an interview and taster day at the university so we took him down and got some Christmas shopping done whilst he was there.

Talking of Santa, today I am sharing a make with a set called Santa's Sleigh teamed with the Merry Medley background stamp. This card is CASED from one I loved on Pinterest and you can find the original by Sharon HERE
Santa's Sleigh will carry on after Christmas but the Merry Medley Background stamp is going to retire. It's currently reduced so if you are fancying it then now would be a good time to get it before it sells out.
We stamped the background in Versamark and then embossed with white emboss powder and I just love the overall look of it, don't think I will ever tire of embossing!
Hope you like today's make, its a short post from me today whilst I catch up! Thank you to those who have already used my code this month for a gift in January! My November shoppers gifts have just arrived so I will be sorting those out ASAP.

Merry Medley meets Tin of Tags

Hello there and good morning! I am just getting back into the swing of things now this week and loving being at the studio and getting all my upcoming events ready. Thank you so much for all the message, texts and cards to congratulate me on last weekends events! Still on cloud nine but my family have certainly kept me grounded!

On Wednesday evening I ran my last Christmas Card Club of the year and this is one of the cards we made. My ladies got the Merry Medley stamp included in the cost of their class. Love how it makes a really quick card.
Most of the cards I have made with this stamp set have involved Crumb Cake so I decided to go with the fresh look of Pool Party. I love Pool Party with Real Red and the pop of Garden Green for the holly.
I have of course used the new Stitched Shape Framelits which launched this month, just love them and also the Tin of Tags stamps, which have 25% off this month. A bargain at £14.25, the snowflake is in the same set too.
I do hope you like today's make. Thanks to those who used my code so far this month. Last months code users have now been receiving their parcels as I have had some lovely messages and emails telling me how much you love your surprise!

Merry Medley background

Good Morning and welcome to my blog today! It's all go at Chez Kettlewell at the moment as we are spending a great deal of time looking at and researching universities for our eldest son Ross to potentially start next September. When I started this blog Ross was 8 years old and now we are looking at universities! Can't believe he is almost 18.

Today I am sharing a card we made at Coffee and Card a few weeks ago. I now have seat available at my weekly Coffee and Card sessions which take place every Tuesday morning on a drop in basis from 10am. Please note there is no session this coming Tuesday due to school holidays.
I love a nice background stamp and this Merry Medley stamp is no exception, great for a quick background and I have stamped in Crumb Cake ink onto Crumb Cake card to create a subtle background.
Now I am still loving my embossing and I used the Copper Embossing powder on this card for the sentiment which turned out great, as you can see below.
Thank you to my customers who have used the code so far, still time to get yourself a little gift in November!

Merry Medley Background

Good Morning to you. Today is an exciting day for me as its the first day of my Annual Weekend Retreat which is now in its 4th year. I will be welcoming my ladies at a local hotel later on this afternoon and we will spend Friday to Sunday crafting away! Bliss! Hoping to get the dates for next years asap so watch this space!

As soon as I saw the Merry Medley background stamp I knew I had to purchase it and it hasn't disappointed. This is my first card with it, stamped it in Versamark and embossed with White embossing powder.
Its not the easiest of cards as you are embossing a very large area and you have to make sure you get the full stamp inked up well.
I used the Holly Berry Happiness for the holly and the Stitched with Cheer stamps for the greeting.
Hope you like today's make, I will be back soon with something we are making at the retreat!
