Special Birthday Invitation

Good morning and how are you!! Short week this week as the boys break up from school on Thursday for the Easter Break.

Today I am sharing a project I demonstrated at Donna's workshop last week. Donna is renewing her wedding vows this year and wanted an idea for invitations. Some of her friends are also celebrating big birthdays so this is what I came up with.

Using the Bloomin Marvelous set the ladies at the party all made the invitation insert on the right and then I showed them how they could "step it up" by making a wallet for the insert.

The colours used are Crumb Cake and Pink Pirouette!

I hope you like the design. Got to dash as its nearly school run time!

Patchwork Heart

Good morning! I am up and raring to take Evan dancing this morning having missed the last 2 weeks due to classes and training.

Here is another of the cards from the Card Keeper Box we made last week. This one is made up of a Patchwork Heart using the Heart Framelits and the square punch. I made a large square of the square punch outs stuck on  a piece of card and then rolled it through the Big Shot with the Heart Framelit. I then rolled it back through in the Square Lattice embossing folder to create the patchwork effect.

I stamped the card blank all over with the flower from Bloomin Marvelous and tied some So Saffron ribbon around the centre and added the heart.

The butterflies were punched from the Bitty Butterfly stamp set and then I tied some Calypso Coral Bakers Twine around them to create antennae!

Hope you like it? I am off for a bit of Cha Cha Cha!

Heartfelt Thanks

Hi there! I am a little late posting today as I have been very busy with prep for tonights Tuesday Club as well as having my hair done too!!

Heartfelt Thanks was one of the names of the first ever Stampin Up Stamp set I fell in love with, way back in 2008!!! The heartfelt thanks I have used on these cards is from the Fabulous Phrases and these were sent to 2 special ladies.

I have used the Sale-A-Bration Sycamore Street papers and a colour combo of Rich Razzleberry and Summer Starfruit. The stamp set I have used is Bloomin Marvelous and the other Friend sentiment is from the For my Family stamp set

The oval framelits are getting lots of use from me at the moment!!!

The new Bitty Butterfly punch from the Spring/Summer Catalogue is so cool as it matches the Bloomin Marvelous stamp set  - I just love that!

Right I have to dash now - back to preps!

Card for my amazing friend

Hello there! This is a scheduled post! I wrote it last night when I got back from Karen's lovely workshop! The first thing I did though when I got in was to run up to my son's room and give him a bug hug as he had just got back from France at about 9.30!! He was shattered - bless him!

This is a card I made for my friend Di, it was her birthday yesterday and although she is not a crafter herself she LOVES to receive handmade cards from me and text me to tell me it was the nicest card she has ever received!!! Thats the power of a handmade card!!!

So I have used a new stamp set - Amazing Family, I just love the font and I fell in love with it when I saw Shelli Gardner (the CEO of Stampin Up) demonstrate with it at Convention back in November 2012. The colours are Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder and Lucky Limeade. I have been using these a lot later - such fresh colours!

Again I have used the Distressed Dots for the background and I used the new Oval Framelit dies, which are fast becoming a real favourite! The little flowers I have stamped are from the Bloomin Marvelous set which you can earn for FREE during February and up to 22nd March - please see below for full details!

The Elegant Butterfly and the Bitty Butterfly just finish the card off nicely with some lush Lucky Limeade ribbon!

Dont forget you can pick a FREE GIFT with every purchase of £45 from any of our current catalogues. I have to say that Feeling Sentimental was very very popular at Karen's workshop last night!!

Thats all for now folks - I will be back tomorrow!
