Good Morning! I have had a FAB time at my Weekend Crafting Retreat but there is nothing like coming home to your own bed and I have slept so well for the last couple of nights, as I am sure have all my ladies!
I thought I would share details from our retreat over the next couple of days including the projects and the fun we had!
I love planning and running this weekend but it’s a lot of hard work and lots of prep time, not to mention how much room it takes up in my craft room! Here is my room on Thursday evening just before we loaded the car.
And here is it after! Benji is wondering where everything has gone!
I borrowed Mr K’s new estate car for the weekend and put all the back seats down! There was just enough room for one of my ladies who I collected on the way.
After a few initial problems with the room not being set up as requested, it was soon time to set up the goody bags and little welcome gifts.
These cute hessian bags went down very well with my ladies. They contained items they needed for the weekend. In the little brown paper bags I had wrapped up a couple of little Molton Brown toiletries (my faves) which always go down well!
The tables were stocked with lots of chocolate to keep them going over the weekend!
Last year I spent a lot of time wandering around chatting (which I still did this year) but the girls told me I had to bring something to do this year as I was distracting them! Ha ha! So I brought some Christmas projects to work on.
On the Saturday evening 2 of the lovely ladies gave me this GORGEOUS suitcase filled with pamper products and 2 Freddos (they found out I am partial to a sneaky Freddo!). I was blown away by their generosity and truly touched by their kindness, thank you girls.
A group of 5 of my ladies travelled together in this mini-bus which they hired, so they had room for all their belongings. They originally hired a large people carrier and were surprised when it turned out to be so big!
Good job really with all this lot to take back home!
My boot wasn’t as full as on the way their of course! So much so that I was able to give Margaret a lift to the train station.
We just had the best time this weekend and I am already scheduling next years event in, watch this space for details or drop me an email to register your interest.
Love the little hessian bags, I've not seen anything similar here in Canada. Can you share where you got them please Julie?
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry I couldn't be with you all again this year. It was a bit far to travel from Australia 😳
