Just Soccer birthday

Hello there, I am a bit earlier posting today!!!!
Today is my Brother in Laws birthday and he is a big Leeds United fan so I made this card perfect for him!!!!
I have used Brilliant Blue and Yo Yo Yellow which are both retiring at the end of September. Both very useful for cards like this so if you need any of your card topping up you know where I am!!! I have used the Just Perfect alphabet to stamp his name.
The boots are cut out and tied together with linen thread.

I do like making these cards for men, they are a bit different and can be adapted to allsorts of things, football, beers, shirt & tie etc.....
Right thats me done for today, off to work on some wedding stuff which hopefully will be slowing down a bit after the end of this month!!!

Card for Grandad

Hello there!!
I really enjoyed making this card. Its very simple, nothing special but I love making cards from my boys!! I did however get told off by Evan when he saw this!! He said I always do him as the really little one and he is not that little anymore!!! I told him, he always will be to me!!! Was greeted with a tut and a grumble!!!
Used up some of my Sweet Pea paper pack again, colours are Old Olive, So Saffron, Chocolate Chip and Really Rust. Have of course used the Schoolbook Serif alphabet AGAIN!!!! What would I do without this set!!

Also used lots of footballs!! Now that I have discovered they fit perfectly in the 1 1/4 punch there is no stopping me!!!!

So here is little Evan, I must admit he looks a bit like a toddler!!!! Love his curly out of control hair!!!

And here is Rossi!!!!!!
Hope you like it, simple but cute I thought!!!

Just Soccer

Good Morning
Todays card is one I made up in about 10-15 minutes on Friday for Evan's friend Louis. Louis is a MASSIVE football fan and in particular he loves Chelsea.
The Brilliant Blue cardstock is great for these ind of cards and is the perfect blue for lots of teams so I am going to stock up before its discontinued at the end of September!!!!!
I love the Just Soccer set, its only £10.95 and perfect for thise football fans out there, young or old! Of course I have also use my Schoolbook Serif alphabet too!!

The great thing about the footballs is that they fit in the 1 1/4 circle punch so its easy to punch a few extra out and then layer them up!!
I am pleased to say I am getting towards the end of my July wedding orders which should all be finised tomorrow, I cannot wait as then I can have some real stamping time!!
Back tomorrow!

Happy Birthday to Ross!

Hellooooo
Today my big boy Ross is 11!!!!! I say it every year but I cannot believe how fast he is growing up! He is such a lovely boy and still obsessed with his cricket!!!
Here is a photo I took yesterday of Ross (at the back), baby Lucas and Evan (playing up for the camera - dont know where he gets it from!) on the trampoline!
I will show you the card that I made Ross tomorrow!
I have been busy creating something else which is this little display!!

I was so disappointed at the choice of birthday cakes in Sainsburys that I decided to make Ross some World Cup/Football themed cupcakes! I was up so late last night after my workshop punching those blasted footballs out and sticking them on cocktail sticks but I am pleased with the results. The footballs are from the Just Soccer set.
Some more footballs have been threaded onto Real Red ribbon to make some bunting around the cake stand! I am no cook, believe me but I was quite pleased with my efforts here!!!!
Right I must dash, loads to do!
Back tomorrow

Jake's birthday card

Good morning!! I am up and about early this morning as I have such a busy day!! Ross has got his first cricket match of the season this morning so I will be going to watch him shortly, he is very excited but the weather has turned here so it may be called off!!
Here is the card I made in a hurry yesterday afternoon! Evan told me Jake likes football so I went with that and the good old faithful Schoolbook Serif alphabet!!!
I went with Yo Yo Yellow and Brilliant Blue as these are Leeds United colours

I made an interesting discovery making this card, the 1 1/4 circle punch fits perfectly round the footballs, so I punched a few out and layered them up!

I also cut out the boots and strung them together and tied them dangling from the number 7 just for an added feature.

Quite pleased with my efforts, took between 15-20 minutes.
So after cricket I have to go to a rehearsal for 6 hours and then straight onto a private ballroom lesson, my goodness I will sleep tonight!!

Doodling!

Sorry for the late post today! I didnt switch the laptop on until 4.30pm today!! I have run 2 card classes today with 15 people coming throughout the day so its been a bit hectic!!
Here is a card using the Just Soccer set, a must have for any football fans!!! This card was for a challenge to do some doodling on your card!

The colours used here are Brilliant Blue and Yo Yo Yellow!! Although not my favourite colours I do like to keep these in stock as they are the colours of our towns football team, Leeds United (not that I support them or anything)! Its handy to have them in stock to make a quick Leeds card!

Here is an arty farty angle, the boots are mounted on dimensionals to add another level to the card. Was a very quick card as it was for challenge night, so very simple for you to re-create!!

Right must dash, dancing class tonight!

2 Callums 2 different cards

Good morning
My son, Ross is going to a joint party on Saturday. Both boys are called Callum but both are very different from each other. I had a spare half hour last night to squeeze in these 2 really quick and simple cards.
The first Callum is a football fan and supports Leeds United. Used the Just Soccer set for this card, made my own background with the ball and the goal logo! The colours are Brilliant Blue and Yo Yo Yellow
The other Callum is not a football fan at all, apparently he likes breakdancing!!!! I was going to attempt to stamp the fella from All in the Family spinning on the floor but wasnt sure it would look right!

The background was made with the Starring You set and the colours are Real Red and Green Galore.

Here they are both together! Another job ticked off the very long list!

One for the boys!

We all love making floral cards and cards with cupcakes but I was very excited to see this Football stamp set in the new catalogue! With having 2 boys I have a fair amount of male birthday cards to make and this will do me nicely!
Evan is in fact going to a football party tomorrow and the birthday boy is a massive Leeds United fan hence the colours
I have done a usual Trifold card, I like doing this style for male cards. The background is stamped with the ball from Just Soccer and then onto my favourite element on this card, the boots!!!
I punched a hole in them and have tied them together with some linen thread. I wanted to make it look like they were hanging up with their laces like they used to be carried in the olden days!!!!!

Colour combo is Brilliant Blue, Yo Yo Yellow, WHite and Basic Black, this works well for Leeds fans and would work for Leeds Rhinos cards too (without the football!)

Right another busy day today, I got loads done yesterday and almost finished prepping for Wedding Fayre and even managed an hour and a half housework!!!!
Got to prep for tomorrows class tomorrow!!
