Final Technique Club card

Hi there and welcome to my blog today. I am sharing the final card from the Technique club which is our "cool down" card! Bit ironic as we actually used the Heat Tool on this card so there wasnt much cooling down going on!

For this card I wanted to share a technique I had seen on Pinterest whereby it showed how someone had coloured their antique brads with embossing powders! So I decided to have a go! Was quite pleased for a first attempt. Couldn't stretch to making another one as I only had 5 Antique brads left!

We dipped the brad in Versamark and then into the Pool Party embossing powder and then heat embossed it! We had a couple of incidents involving hot tweezers but other than that the results were great.

Here are all 3 of the cards together. I have enjoyed sharing these with you and hope you have enjoyed looking at them!

I would love to see you at my next Technique Club which is on Saturday 29th June. Further info to follow shortly!

Workshop makes

Hi there! It's our first weekend in our new home and the cricket is cancelled!!! Will be putting the hubby to good use today sorting things out and doing jobs! First up for me is finishing sorting my craft room!

I demoed at a lovely Stampin Up party on Thursday evening at June's house with 6 lovely ladies. People often worry that they might not have enough people at their workshops but I was able to spend lots of time with the 6 ladies and June got a tonne of freebies. Thank you to all the ladies and in particular to lovely June.

Here are the projects I demonstrated. The ladies made the card on the left and then I shared the "spruced up" version on the right with a few added extras!

Have to say that the Butterfly punches were a huge hit on the night!

I gave June this little gift for hosting the party which contained a Dazzling Details.

Right thats me off! I have to supervise the blind fitters who are here today! Finally I can take down the flattened Stampin Up boxes down from our windows!

Team Training projects

Hi there! Looks like the rain from yesterday has disappeared today and its a lovely sunny day! Last night I went to do a talk and a craft session at a lovely new ladies group just 5-10 minutes away from my house. Lovely bunch of ladies - thanks for making me feel so welcome and hope you have found my blog! I will share the card we made with you tomorrow!

On Tuesday night we held our monthly team training for our local ladies and we made the projects I am sharing with you today featuring the Dress Up framelits.

We made this basic make and take card for a workshop using So Saffron and Calypso Coral with Early Espresso.

And then this is the enhanced version with a little bit more product added on.

The papers are my fave Tea for Two papers and I added a flower from the ribbon trim!

We also made this cute little dress which can hold a lipstick of in this case it held a bottle of Dazzling Details for a hostess gift. I got this idea from my friend Bekka (think she used lip salves)

I love the Crumb Cake Seam Binding, its my absolute fave ribbon at the moment!

Right thats all from me today as I have a full on day!

Male themed swaps

Good Morning to you!

On Saturday at our training event we did our usual swapping (or if you shop at M&S - shwopping!) but I was a bit cruel to the ladies and asked them to do male themed swaps!!! Had a little bit of grumbling but not too much and I think everyone was thrilled with the swaps we received - I know I have got a few ideas to CASE already!

My swaps had to be quick as I only budgeted one evenings worth of time to do them and we had 30 to make to here are my little offerings!!

I used a colour combo of Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla and Island Indigo. I used the Distressed Dots background stamp along with the Hearts a Flutter and A Fitting Occasion.

On Saturday we tried a more organised way of swapping and here are some of my girls all lined up ready to swap!!! It worked really well and even made us ahead of schedule all day!

I love this photo. Can you see Kate and Nicky hugging further up the line - thats what being part of our Stampin Up family is all about, the friendships we have made along the way!

If you would like to be a part of our wonderful team then I would love you to take advantage of our special offer this month and next - an extra £25 worth of freebies in your Starter Kit!!!

Easter Bunnies!

Hi there! I'm a little later than normal as I very much enjoyed a lovely lie in this morning as its the first day of the school holidays here in Yorkshire - feels a bit strange that the first day is Good Friday this year!

Yesterday afternoon I looked after my Nephew as usual! I asked him if he would like to make some Easter Bunnies that I had been keen to make after seeing them online HERE. This is the BLOG that Stampin Up USA run and its packed with lots of lovely ideas!

We decided to make 2 bunnies - 1 for Lucas and one for his Mummy!! We did the spotty one for his Mummy and the "pwain" (plain) one for Lucas!!

He really enjoyed helping me with the shapes and counting the pieces we needed. These are made with the Oval Framelit dies and the Petite Purse die - there is a list on the SU blog as to how many of each you need.

So here is the spotty one for his Mummy and this is how it looks from the back! We ran out of time to add a little tail!!!!

I had already bought Lucas a mini Lindt chocolate bunny to put in his but I didnt bank on him wanting to make one for his Mummy too so she had to have an empty one!

And here they are together!

Whilst I have your attention we found out late yesterday that Stampin Up have extended the special signing up offer until Sunday 31st March!! IF YOU JOIN MY TEAM IN THE NEXT 3 DAYS YOU CAN GET £162.50 WORTH OF GOODS FOR ONLY £99!!!!

Here is the recent welcome pack I sent to my team! Creme Egg holder

Hi there! A couple of weeks ago we had a team Shoebox Swap and one of the projects, which was made by the lovely Angela, was a gorgeous creme egg holder. You can see it here in a photo I have cropped down.

I loved this idea for my Tuesday ladies so we made one to match the piglet card which I shared with you yesterday.

This time we just created Piglet's little face.

The matching set!

Before I go I wanted to share June's card with you! We did have a laugh on Tuesday night as June was a bit generous with the glue pen and poor Piglet looked like his nose was running, then when she did the smile she decided that this Piglet looked like he was up to no good!

What do you think?

Stamp a Stack part 1

Good morning and Happy Monday to you!! I thought I would share the Stamp a Stack cards from last Fridays event with you this week. These cards have to be quite simple but still a quality card as my ladies have half an hour to make 2 of them! They do 12 cards in 3 hours!! I must say they all finished on time this month so I may need to make the cards harder next time!

This is the first card I created for the event using the Dress Up framelits - told you I loved them!

The colour combo here is Pool Party and Rich Razzleberry with a hint of Crumb Cake!! The background has been stamped with the Distressed Dots background stamp (another fave) and the sentiment is from Curly Cute.

The papers for the dress are from the FREE Sale-A-Bration papers - be quick as you only have another 18 days to earn these!!! The ribbon around the waistband is retired and the flower is from the Boho Blossom punch.

If you would like to take advantage of Sale-A-Bration and bag yourself some free items then please do get in touch. I will be placing an order at the end of this week.

Team Congratulations cards

Hello there! Do you have snow?? We have some which made the trip home from my dancing date last night a little hairy but I got home OK in the end!

Today I am sharing a couple of cards I made for girls in our team who achieved top sales for December and January. These are really good for posting as they are very flat!!!

Yes, I have used the Distressed Dots background stamp again!! This time I have used a Crumb Cake base and the doilies have made an appearance again along with Oh, Hello!! I think I should challenge myself to use something different this week!!!

The colour combo is Crumb Cake, So Saffron, Calypso Coral, Pretty in Pink and Lucky Limeade.

Hope you like my simple makes and please come back tomorrow when I will share another card!
