More Hardwood stamp and Birds!

Hello there and welcome back to my blog today! Today I am sharing the card I was inspired to make after seeing a similar one by my lovely downline Julie Wade, a very talented and lovely lady. I just changed a few things up and added a couple of extras!!!
We made this at our Tuesday Club and the cards went down very well although I was a little ambitious in expecting the ladies to make all 3 in 2 hours. We were very frivolous on Tuesday night and there was a LOT of laughter going on, maybe that explains why it was a struggle!
I am really loving the Spring colours on this card.
The Banner Blast stamp set and punch used for the bunting has been the most popular Sale-A-Bration freebies. Please remember there are now just 6 days of Sale-a-Bration left and Monday is your last chance to earn the freebies!

Right my retreat preps are calling me!

Back to the crafting!

Hi there!! I hope you have enjoyed my Vienna posts, thank you for the lovely comments on my photos!! Its back to the crafting now and I have to say I did miss it last week!

I have had a few events this week - Tuesday Club (on Tuesday surprisingly!!), Stamp a Stack on Friday and Scrapbook Club on Saturday! Today I have one of my new downline coming round for a little bit of training and crafting!

So today I am sharing the projects we made at Tuesday Club this week. This colour combo and the large card was inspired my my very talented downline Sally-Jo (link in my sidebar)

I used the colour combo inspired by SJ of Basic Grey, Marina Mist, Soft Suede and Crumb Cake and my ladies all made a One Sheet Wonder from a piece of A4! This means that we stamped a whole sheet of Very Vanilla with the different stamps to create our own background paper and then we used it on all the cards. The stamp set is of course The Open Sea

So this is a simple card with 3 strips cut up and I added a piece of Soft Suede Striped grosgrain with the globe on top with an anchor and brad - very simple card

But a little extra decor inside just tarts it up a bit!!!

This was my fave card of the evening! The ever popular Framelits were put to good use and I just love how this card seems to work!!! All the ladies got the same supplies in their kit and I just love the added Basic Grey button on this one!!

And finally we made an A5 card. Not sure I have ever made an A5 card in class before but Sally Jo inspired me to! I have left this one fairly plain on the front and then if I need it for a special birthday or something I can add the numbers to the front.

A large card like this needs some special treatment inside don't you think?

Right thats all for now. This week my ladies have requested we do Sympathy and Get Well Cards so I will be working on them asap and sharing with you soon!

The Open Sea at Stamp a Stack!

Hello there! So tonight I have my Stamp a Stack event which I am really looking forward to!! Do you know what a Stamp a Stack is?? Well we "stamp a stack" of cards, 12 cards to be precise!! My ladies make 6 different card designs and do 2 of each design. They roughly have 30 minutes at each table. Most of the cutting is prepped for them so its a case of stamp, punch and assemble!!! The class costs £15 or is free if you spend £45 that evening! Lots of my ladies like taking their cards home for free!

Anyway onto the cards! I have CASED this wonderful design from my effervescent and lovely downline Sally Jo, she made hers into an A5 size card though, so these are the mini versions!

I have randomly stamped the images to make a background using Marina Mist, Crumb Cake, Basic Grey and Soft Suede. I also inked the edges with Marina Mist!
The ribbon is Basic Grey or Soft Suede striped grosgrain. My ladies will get a choice as I dont have enough for both cards the same colour!!

The galleon was stamped and then I cut it out on the Big Shot with the ever useful Framelits, cannot imagine what we did without them!!!

Hope you like and hope my ladies like tonight!!
