Secret Garden Watercolouring

I've been naughty and nice this morning! Naughty - because I have left my blogging until later in the day but nice because I have cleaned my house from top to bottom (literally - as I live in a 3 storey house!) Not sure how much the 3 males in the house will appreciate it but I do!!!

Here is a card that we made at my extra Secret Garden class I did a couple of weeks ago. I overhauled a  previous design and changed the technique to a watercolouring technique on the flowers.

The colours used are the 2012 - 2014 In Colours of Raspberry Ripple, Midnight Muse, Gumball Green and Summer Starfruit.

The sentiment is from the really useful set Fabulous Phrases, you can build up your own little phrases - so cute!

Hope you like my make today, I should be back bright and breezy in the morning with another make for you!

P.S Only 2 weeks left to get your orders in from the Retirement Lists before they are gone forever!!

Secret Garden Scrapbooking

Good Morning and happy weekend to you! Last night I enjoyed my Stamp a Stack event with 17 lovely ladies. Think I made the cards too easy as some of them were finished for 9.20pm as opposed to 10pm.

I had 4 lovely new ladies last night - Caroline, Victoria, Jill and Louise and they were all amazing!

This afternoon I have my monthly Scrapbook Club and also my Technique Club so I thought I would share the scrapbook page with you as I have already sent some of the images to my ladies for them to get their thinking caps on!!

I have to say this was totally inspired by a layout by Sarah Sagert who is a Stampin Up Artisan Design Team member, you can find her blog HERE

I have used the Natural Composition papers and the Print Poetry stack for the flowers which were made from the Secret Garden framelits.

The colours are Gumball Green, Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit and Very Vanilla

I used an Aquabrush to wet the flowers then I scrunched them up to create these stunners! The smaller flowers are from the Boho Blossom punch.

Hope you like it and I hope my ladies enjoy re-creating it this afternoon

Secret Garden technique

Hello there and welcome to my blog today! Thank you for all your comments on yesterdays card either here or on my Facebook page. They are very much appreciated. I will look into doing a little tutorial for you on yesterdays card ASAP. I survived the filling at the dentists OK and I asked him when was the last time I had to have a filling - 1994! WOW I am impressed that I haven't had one for 19 years!

So onto todays little number. Remember this technique I did a few weeks back with my Technique Club? Well I have had so many comments on the card so I thought I would share it with this weeks Tuesday ladies too.

The colours we have used on this card are Midnight Muse and Crumb Cake, good old Crumb Cake - love it!

The inside was simply stamped with the same flower in Midnight Muse and the rest of the sentiment added

The sentiments are from a set called One in a Million and it is the first time I have used these. They are in 2 parts so you can use one on the front and one on the inside, as I have done!

Thought I would share Jane's version of the card front with you. Lovely delicate colouring and an alternative bow decoration! Lovely!

I will share the last card from the set tomorrow - it was the hardest one!

More Technique Club

Good morning! Yiippppeee I think I am feeling almost normal again today!!!!Good job as I have a party at Donna's house tonight - Donna is a new hostess whom I met at a workshop a few weeks ago and I am looking forward to sharing Stampin Up with her friends.

Today I will share the other 2 cards from the Technique Club from Saturday. This next one involves stamping onto patterned paper and then cutting the flowers out - no colouring in! We also rolled the leaves out from patterned paper too!

Colours used are Summer Starfruit, Midnight Muse and Gumball Green.

You have seen the card below a few times before - I love this card and the colours just pop!!!! A simple card really, but its the white embossing on the Crumb Cake card that really makes this stand out!

And here are all our cards together.

Hope you have enjoyed these - I am really enjoying the Technique Club and am looking forward to next months with the Dress Up Framelits

Hope you can join me!

Secret Garden Technique Class

Hi there! I'm still not feeling 100% today but am much better than I was yesterday. I thought I would share the cards we made at our March Technique Club with you over the next couple of days.

The colours used for all the cards were the 2012-2014 In Colours.

I stamped all over the card base with a Versamark inkpad to create a background. We then coloured using the Aquapainters onto the flowers and rolled them out on the Big Shot.

The sentiments used are from the set Fabulous Phrases, I am loving this set at the moment as you can create your own sentiments.

I will be back tomorrow to show the other 2 cards. If you are interested in attending our next Technique club then the details are below. We are using my favourite Dress Up framelits!!!

Secret Garden Technique club

Good morning! I am a little later posting today as my youngest has a training day today so we have taken things a little easier this morning.

Just a final reminder about my Technique club next Saturday (16th March). The booking for this closes tomorrow Saturday 9th in order for me to order the supplies for the event.

This is one of the techniques we will be sharing which I found last week on a USA demonstrators blog HERE, Sandi links back to her downlines blog who initially showed her the technique! I love this and it has had so many comments at my events. In fact 3 ladies cannot make 16th March so I am having to do an extra class for this!

The colours used are Midnight Muse and Crumb Cake, simple but effective I think!

The sentiment set we will use in the class is the Fabulous Phrases set which is quite new to me!

If you would like to book onto this event I have 2 more places left as I keep the numbers low in order to  make the technique teaching manageable. Please contact me on julie.kettlewell@ntlworld.com.

Right I am going and am hopefully having a full day of crafting today. For the first time in 7 weeks I have no workshops or events on a Friday night so I am going to make the most of it!

Secret Garden projects

Hi there, its a little bit miserable here today weather wise so I thought I would cheer you up with these bright projects! Last night I went to demo for the lovely Beryl and her gang, and we welcomed a new lady - Lorraine!!  Hi Lorraine! I shared lots of Sale-A-Bration projects with the ladies - did you know there are only 15 days of Sale-A-Bration left! If you still have a wish list and haven't earned all the free items you would like yet then please get in touch with me.

So here are 3 projects with the Secret Garden set from page 17 of the Spring/Summer Seasonal. I must admit the stamp set and framelits weren't at the top of my initial wish list but I am so pleased I purchased! These are projects I shared with 13 of our team members this week at our monthly training.

The colour combination is Melon Mambo and Lucky Limeade.

I have used the stamps to create a back ground and then stamped some more flowers and rolled them out on the Big Shot.

Here is an 'enhanced' version of the first card but I have changed the background stamp. The sentiment is from a little set in the Spring/Summer called Essentials - only £5.95 for 2 stamps, great if you are starting out with stamping.

I've also added some large pearls and some of the Melon Mambo ribbon from the Seasonal catalogue too!

And out final project was this little purse made from the Petite Purse die. Its so cute as little favours or for a gift of a bracelet of piece of jewellery.

I hope you like these projects. If you would like to attend my March Technique Club on Saturday 16th March, we will be using this stamp set and framelits! Please see the top of my blog for more information.

Technique Club

Good morning! We had a fab Stamp a Stack last night - 17 lovely ladies ALL made 12 cards each and no one was rushing this time, I think I need to make them a little harder!!! Thanks for coming ladies, lovely to see over 200 cards being made in one evening! Thank you to Faye and Joyce for the sweet treats and to Joyce for staying with me to clear up so I wasn't on my own late at night! We are taking a break for the Stamp a Stack at the end of March due to Easter, but we will be back on 26th April.

So my next event is the Technique Club on Saturday 16th March and here is a sneak peek at one of the cards we will be making. I found this wonderful technique on a blog from the USA and I had to have a go yesterday! Lots of the ladies loved it last night so its been a great hit already!

This class costs £26.00 which includes the Secret Garden Stamp Set in Clear Mount (worth £17.95).

If you would like to take advantage of the Bundle Price from Stampin’ Up! and get the coordinating Framelit Dies the cost will be £41 (worth £32.95) for the class and the bundle.

If you would like the stamp sets in Wood Mount there is a supplement of £4.

The class can be taken without the Stamp Set for £15.00

Booking closes on Friday 8th March and full payment required to secure place to enable me to order the sets.

I'll be back tomorrow with a card for you!
