Last Challenge Card

Oh my gosh how cold is it this morning!!!!! Cant believe how cold I am. Robin is off work today so he is thankfully doing the school run and I am going to have a lovely longer shower than normal!
My poor Evan has to go to the dentist today. We have noticed that his big front tooth is growing out of the gum much higher than it should and the baby tooth is still there. It looks horrible and I freaked out when I saw it. He has not complained of it hurting one bit. Please wish us look, dont know what the dentist will dom if anything!
Here is another card from the challenge night I did, its the last one (dont all cheer at once!) This one was a colour combo set by my lovely upline Monica. There were that many colours in the challenge I cannot even remember them all but will try. Bashful Blue. PRetty in Pink, Cameo Coral, Regal Rose, Apricot Appeal and Old Olive - Phew!!
I had seen a lovely card made with Playful Petals by and Australian demo, will try and find a link. and I have used the same flower layout that she did! A little CASEing going on! I coloured the flowers with my SU inkpads using my blender pens and aquabrush.

The sentiment is from One of a Kind, stamped in Regal Rose.

Arty farty angle as usual.

Exciting day today for me (aswell as the dentist trauma) as I have got my first consultation in my conservatoire with a potential wedding customer! Lets hope the snow doesnt put her off!!!

Back tomorrow

Playful Petals project

My lovely downline and friend, Sarah B is commonly known between my team as the "3D queen". Sarah has come up with lots of fab projects and has inspired me to step out of my card comfort zone and make something 3D!!

I made this box from scratch on Saturday evening and was very chuffed with myself, it is very basic in comparison to some of the projects you see on the WWW but hey everyone has to start somewhere!
The whole project is using the Tea Party Papers and the Playful Petals stamp set with the odd sentiment stamp from other sets.

The box has a flap lid which is secured with a velcro button and houses 4 cards and envelopes but is deep enough to fit a couple more in.

A couple of close ups of the cards, colour combos are So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink and Almost Amethyst.

I am thinking of taking photos to make a tutorial in how to make the box!
Got wedding order overload this week, but I luckily enrolled my boys on a week long football course!!! The came back filthy yesterday but enjoyed themselves!!

Playful Petal party! 2 days until Mini!!!

Well on Wednesday we can finally plae orders from the new mini catalogue!! Its been a long month waiting!!!!!!
I am having a Mini Launch Night at my house in Leeds (e mail me at julie.kettlewell@ntlworld.com if you would like to come) and this is the card we will be making.
A little bit more detailed than I would normally do at a party but as some of my most regular customers are attending I though I would do a more complex card, so sorry girls, bit of cutting out for you to do!!!!
Its from the new set Playful Petals that has matching papers called Tea Party, I have coloured the flower with the inkpads but using a Blender Pen instead of an aquabrush. My friend Jo sent me a gorgeous card very similar to this and she says she uses the Blender pens loads so I had a go and I love the effect Jo, so thanks love!!!!!
The sentiment is from the Oval All set, a firm favourite already together with the matching punches!! I also sneaked a bit of the new striped grosgrain ribbon in there too!!!

If you would like to sample some of the new papers and the ribbons then I am going to do a share for them. I need 4 people to join the share and you will get the following
12 6x6 sheets of Tea party papers (2 sets of 6 designs so you can use each side)
12 6x6 sheets of Washington Apple papers (as above)
12 6x6 sheets of Ski Slope papers (as above)
2.25 metres So Saffron Striped grosgrain ribbon
2.25 metres Pretty in Pink Striped grosgrain ribbon
2.25 metres Bashful Blue Striped grosgrain ribbon

So 36 sheets of 6x6 papers and 6.75 metres of ribbon
All for the price of £12.00 including P&P
Please mail me if interested

Playful Petal 80th

My Mum asked me to make a 80th card for a party they had been invited to. I was going to reach for my trusty Rose is a Rose set but then I saw this beautiful card made by a lovely lass Jo!
I hope you don't mind that I CASED your card JO!!!
I have cut the flowers out from the patterned Tea Party papers and layered them up. I stamped the leaves with Certainly Celery and then watercoloured them with inkpads.

A couple of brads added and some So Saffron Striped grosgrain ribbon to finish it off!!! The 80 was stamped with the Schoolbook Serif Number set

Colour combo is Almost Amethyst, Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink and So Saffron

Playful Petals

Busy day for me today, got 9 ladies coming to my Choccy Class this afternoon!! I baked Choc Chip muffins last night so an extra treat for the ladies!!!
Here is another card with my new goodies from the mini catalogue! The stamp set is called Playful Petals and it works wonderfully with the new Tea Party papers.
I have also used my Oval All stamp set and layered the oval with the scalloped oval and coloured with marker pens, the large flower has been stamped and watercoloured with inkpads and markers.
And a nice bit of the new So Saffron ribbon to finish it off!!!

Right I am off to get my stuff ready for this afternoon!
