Cupcake Birthday

Good morning to you
Well, in the excitement of waiting for my PRe Order goodies from the new catalogue yesterday, I totally forgot to update my blog!!!!!! The goodies did not arrive until 5.30, Mr UPS man made me sweat it out until then!!! But I was a very happy girl once he had been!!!
Today I am sharing a card I made for the lovely and very hardworking Angela in our Team of Jems!! Angela joined up with me in February and has well and truly got the Stampin Up bug and has done fab with it!!! It was her birthday on Sunday and I know she made sure she got pressies that she really wanted from her family!!!!!!!
I have gone for the Crazy for Cupcakes set with a Colour Combo of Real Red, Melon Mambo and Pretty in Pink
The background is stamped with the cherry from On a Pedestal.

And inside I stamped and cut out another cute little cupcake!!!
Hope you likey!
I must dash as I am still in my PJ's at 8.15!!!

On a Pedestal

Last night was my Tuesday night class, we have had a break for a couple of weeks due to Monaco and Robins birthday so it was nice to have the girls back round again!
They had asked to use the On a Pedestal set so I turned to the very lovely and talented Jenny Moors for one of the projects, this gorgeous little card in a box. You can purchase the online instructions HERE
The colour combo was KRaft, Close to Cocoa, Real Red, Pretty in Pink and Regal Rose and it also uses the Cupcake wheel. Inside the box opens up to look like this!

The girls were very worried when they arrived as I had asked them to bring their scorers, but we worked through the scoring together and they did a fab job and no need for an emergency card!!

We also made a matching card to accompany the gift box. I love the little cherry stamp, it looks to effective when making backgrounds with it.

We also decorated inside the card too.

Here was the conservatory last night, a bit tidier than usual!!

If you are in the Leeds/Bradford area and would like to come to a class please get in touch with me at the e mail address at the top of this blog. I run Tuesday nights fortnightly (usually full up but occasional spaces) and Saturdays monthly. I also try and run a Thursday morning class doing the same project as the Tuesday but I need more people for this class. If you are at home during day and would like to come on Thursdays please get in touch.

Thats all for now folks. See you tomorrow

Cupcake Crazy

ARRRGGGGHHH (thats me screaming!)!!! I have had no internet of phone since Friday evening! Just came back on this morning!!! Rubbish!!!

So yesterday was my Cupcake Class in the afternoon. I had 8 ladies (plus my son Ross) who came to make the bag below and 4 cards!
When they arrived they were greeted with all there bits and bobs for the cards in these cute cupcake gift bags that I picked up at the wholesalers I go to!

We had a birthday girl too!! Jenny is 9 today so she needed spoiling a bit!! (well to be honest I think she is being spoiled all weekend!) so I had bought cupcakes from the Cupcake shop near where I live and had a special one for Jenny!

Here she is with her Cupcake complete with candle!!! We turned off the lights and sang to her (I think she was a bit embarassed!!!)

Here are the cupcakes, yummmmmmyy!

And here are all the lovely bags that my lovely ladies made!

Thanks for coming girls, hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!!!
RIght thats me off for today, jobs to do and got to pack Ross's bag tonight - he goes on school residential tomorrow!!

Cupcake crazy!

Today's title really sums me up!!! I LOVE cupcakes, can you tell!! I love everything about them, eating them of course (need to stop as I need to loose weight for Footloose) but I also love how trendy they are at the moment. They are very retro I think and I am obsessed with buying things with them on. Here is a selection of cupcake items I have

Diary
Tea towels
Oven Gloves
Bunting (in my conservatoire)
Many mugs
Mirror (my friend Anna got me this)
Cookie Jar x 2 (lovely pressies from peeps!)
Coasters
Money box
Air freshner
Storage boxes
Tray (pressie from lovely customer
Fridge magnets (birthday pressie)

Gosh the more I sit and think about it the more I realise I have!!! I have probably forgotten loads too!

So the other day I spent a nice afternoon working on some designs for my Cupcake Crazy class on 29th March. I wanted to make a cupcake bag with 4 cards inside and here is my first
attempt!

I have hand drawn the top of the cupcake and then cut it out to make a template. The whole colour combination is Sage Shadow, Chocolate Chip and Regal Rose. Although it looks like its a box I wanted it to be more like a sturdy bag hence the ribbon handle

The cupcake casing has been created by concertina folding the Chocolate Chip designer papers and glueing them down (this was the most faffy part of the whole project.

Inside are 4 little 10cm cards, I will also stamped envelopes too but I ran out of time!

And here is the whole project together!

If you would like to come to the class please let me know ASAP. I only have 3 places left as it stands at the moment. The cost is £10 and it is on 20th March in Pudsey nr Leeds!

Back tomorrow!

Cupcake card and an update!

Another busy day today. We have been clearing the living room to make way for the new flooring on Monday so have been emptying bookcases and cd units etc...... Gosh we have so much stuff!
I am also going out tonight to see WILL YOUNG!!! I have loved Will's songs since he won Pop Idol and it will be a fab night, am going with my friend Anna and we are quite near the front!!!
Tomorrow its my sisters birthday so I have made her this little card from the boys. I will personalise the inside with a printed insert I think
On a Pedestal stamp set with a colour combo of Real Red, Kraft and Pretty in Pink. I love the Kraft with this, it seems to match with so many colours

You cannot se very well but I stamped a candle on top of the cupcake

Arty farty angle as usual!

Thank you for all your comments and shared excitement about my new craft room. This is how it looks this afternoon, they have dug the base out and laid a load of concrete!! Not very interesting but give you an idea of the size!!

Right I better LEAVE RIGHT NOW (you get it!!!!!) to go and see the lovely Mr Young!!!

Back tomorrow!

Another class card

Good morning campers, here is another card from my class on Saturday. I loved making the other one similar to this so I thought I would stick to the same colour way and almost the same design.
The card uses the wonderful set called On a Pedestal. The sentiment is from is too and its a coll £14.95, lots of the ladies were impressed with it on Saturday! We stamped the cake stand first in Real Red and then used the Stamp a Ma Jig to stamp the cake on top in Pretty in Pink and then I stamped this again in Close to Cocoa and pieced it on top!
The background looks like paper but is the little cherry stamped all over, boy did it work overtime on Saturday! Used 2 new punches on this card, the Eyelet Border Punch and the 1 3/4 Circle punch to layer the Scallop Circle

Arty farty angle, a piece of pink striped grosgrain finishes the project off!
Very dismal day here today, had to peel myself out of bed again this morning, hate these dark mornings
More weddings today and possibly a bit of housework!

All fired up!!!

The new Stampin Up catalogue has got me all fired up to make cards. I have made 16 cards since Saturday evening!!!!!!!
I have been looking forward to inking up this stamp set, On a Pedestal, its a gorgeous little set where you can build up your own cakes, how fab!!!! And amazing value at £14.95 for 7 stamps
I saw a card similar to this one on Splitcoast Stampers so I had to CASE it as I loved it so much. The background is made from stamping the little cherry from the set in Real Red and Pretty in Pink.
I stamped the stand and then the cake on top with a few extra cherries that have fallen off the cake! The sentiment is part of the set and you can use this to build your cake up! I punched it out with the 1 3/8 circle and then the scallop circle which I paper pricked with the new tool and then I layered it up even more with the 1 3/4 circle. Ooo nearly forgot to mention the new EYELET border punch that I used too!!!

Arty farty angle as usual!!!!

Tonight I am doing a workshop for a lovely group of ladies near me, we will be making a christmas card, will be back to show more tomorrow
