Happy Weekend

Good Morning and happy Saturday to you!! I am feeling a little tired this morning after a wonderful Stampin Up party at Elaine's last night. It was lovely to meet some new ladies who were new to stamping but did a fantastic job of their make and take card - waving HELLO to the new ladies Lucy, Sharon, Ann and Linda!!! Elaine was delighted to get loads of free product last night including a whole set of Subtles ink pads free in addition to the usual hostess benefits. This offer finishes on 16th December.

This morning I want to share a card that I cased from a young male demonstrator called Martin, I have just discovered his blog and he has an amazing talent. Have a look HERE   Thank you for the inspiration Martin and I hope you dont mind me caseing!

We received the wonderful Papaya Collage set FREE at Convention a couple of weeks ago and I decided to put it to good use. Saying that however, I have actually used quite a few different stamp sets on this card so will try to explain how I made it. The background on the Very Vanilla card is made using the French Foliage stamp set. On the Always Artichoke card I stamped the rose from the Papaya Collage set in the same colour in as the card

I added 2 roses stamped in Rose Red and cut them out. The frame stamp (my favourite from the set) is also from the Papaya Collage stamp set, I cut this out and cut the middle out with a craft knife.

The Happy 70th Birthday is from Memorable Moments stamp set and stamped in Rose Red and Always Artichoke and the Mum stamp is from the very useful For My Family stamp set.

I hope you like this make - its a little different for me and I want to thank Martin for the inspiration!

Yesterday was a momentous day as I recorded my first ever video tutorial. Its a very bad attempt and the sound goes off near the end but I wanted to share with my customers how to make the double card bow like on the the front of the Annual Catalogue!!!

Enjoy and please be gentle with me!

Off to dancing with Evan now for 2.5 hours of sitting down - bliss!!!

  1. Oooh Jules that was brilliant! Well done on your first ever video tutorial. It was very clear and easy to understand. Shame about the sound at the end, but it didn't stop me from understanding how you finished the project, so it doesn't really matter. Looking forward to the next one...I must go subscribe to you on Youtube!
