Happy 50th to Jo

Hello there! I am a HAPPY Julie today! For lots of reasons really! 1) It's Friday, and I have my Stamp a Stack tonight 2) We have a fab new item launched today! and 3) I went to my big boys parents evening (he is in Year 10) and he got some amazing comments from the teachers and he is doing so well! When you get the teachers saying that he is a "smashing young lad" and "incredibly bright" and "can't ask for more" then you know you are on the right path! Well done Rossi!!!

Today's card is one I made for my lovely friend and customer Jo who celebrated her milestone birthday yesterday! Jo had a Stampin Up party for her 50th a couple of weeks ago and all her friends bought her Stampin Up goodies! She is now the proud owner of her own Big Shot, I know she will be having fun with it this weekend!
I made this card and popped it in the post to arrive yesterday! I basically glued two card blanks together to form the foldy card and then decorated it.
I used the Sweet Sorbet papers that are free during SAB, only ONE MONTH left of SAB
The sentiments are from Remembering Your Birthday and the flowers are of course Petite Petals.
Happy Birthday again to you Jo! Right thats me away to go get ready for taking the boy to school!

I mentioned a new product above and here it is! I am really excited about this as I have seen it on lots of US blogs! Everything you need to make 20 cards for only £17.95. You even get stamps, a block, mini ink pad and dimensionals!!!!

Stamp a Stack CASE

Hello there! This is the second time I have tried to post this today, I'm having technical difficulties again today! The weather is miserable outside too! Maybe I should have just stayed in bed!!
Today's make should brighten your day as this was my favourite card from last weeks All Day Stamp a Stack. I will be honest, its a total CASE from the lovely Michelle Last, albeit I changed a few things up. Thanks Michelle!
I just fell in love with Michelle's card so made me own version using the ribbons that the ladies got in their kits. Yep, they got 2 full reels of ribbon, the Chevron and the Pool Party Seam Binding. One of my ladies said she would make sure she kept these cards for her special friends as they had so much ribbon on them!
The colours used are Pool Party, Crumb Cake and Pear Pizazz, a lovely spring like combo! The paper is from the Fresh Prints DSP stack. Its £6.25 for 48 sheets of patterned papers perfect for making cards.
Right well I had better crack on with todays tasks. I have to finish preps for tomorrow nights Stamp a Stack and my Scrapbook and Technique classes on Saturday.

If you are interested in coming to one of my All Day events I have a mini retreat day on Saturday 29th March, details are below - only 6 places left.

Scallop Tag Concertina Card

I'm back to my usual time of blogging today! Last night was our Tuesday Club and for once I had a clear idea a few days before of what I wanted to make. I decided to make the card we did at training which I am naming the Scallop Tag Concertina Card but this time I did it as a Mother's Day version. I let my ladies choose to do Birthday as an alternative. It looks fairly plain and basic on the outside
But then you open it up to get this!!! I did tell the ladies they would be able to take tonights project home in their pockets with them!!
I kept the colours simple, based on the flowered side of the Sale-A-Bration DSP, Pool Party, Pistachio Pudding and Crumb Cake.
I just loved making this, I really enjoyed myself. I used the Petite Petals which has been my top seller so far during the new catalogue.
The DAY at then end was created with the miniature alphabet and then punched out with the 1/2 inch circle.
I hope you enjoy looking at this project as much as my ladies enjoyed making it. I will promise to do a video on this in the next couple of days. I am all ready to go, am just waiting for my camera guy and IT guy to help me out!
