Up, Up and Away

Good morning, the sun is shining again here in West Yorkshire!!

I'm back with another Stamp a Stacker card - only have one more left to show you!!!

This one is made with one of my favourite sets, Up, Up and Away, I love it and love the sentiments in the set too!! It made me laugh the other week as some of my ladies told me I  had forgotten to bring the hot air balloon punch!! We are getting so used to having all these wonderful co-ordinating punches!!!

The photos I had taken of these cards were quite dark so I have had to lighten them and they are not the best.
The colour combo is Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade and Island Indigo with a little bit of Crumb Cake for the birdies and the baskets.

Right thats me for today!

See you tomorrow

Jules

Bright Mixed Bunch

Hello there!!

Well here I am with another card from my Stamp a Stack, this time its the Mixed Bunch set! I went for a bright summery colour combo of Pear Pizazz. Peach Parfait, Poppy Parade and Daffodil Delight. Incidentally 3 of these colours will retire on 30th September - the 3 "P's" - Poppy Parade, Pear Pizazz and Peach Parfait to make room for some new In Colours!

Its a simple make, just create a background with random stamped images, stamp and punch 2 of the flowers and add a brad, then pop a bit of co-ordinating ribbon around and add a sentiment and there you go!

Its a really great set and punch and I am enjoying using it!

Back tomorrow with more makes

Julie's Olympic Craft Decathlon

Hello there! Its another beautiful day here in Yorkshire! Last night I had my Stamp a Stack event, was a lovely night and we had 2 ladies who were new to Stamp a Stackers!!! They enjoyed the evening, even though its quite fast paced!

Here is a card that we will be making at my Olympic Craft Decathlon!!! I decided to run an event based around the OLympics as its such a huge landmark in our history that I couldnt just let it pass us by!! SO I thought I would do a Decathlon type event - which basically means we will make 10 projects over the course of the day! There will be 10 stations (events) for you to visit and make your projects - but dont worry you wont need trainers!!!!

I have quite a few places left for this at the moment, the day costs £35 and includes a buffet lunch and cupcake and a goody bag with all the items to make your projects.

I love this card and it is based on a fantastic card I got in a swap at the Leeds Training event, its made by a lady called Joanne and her blog is here . Thanks for the inspiration Joanne and hope you dont mind me caseing your card!

Over the course of the day we will make a mixture of summer themed projects, on each table you will have approximately half an hour.

If you would like to book a place or find out more about the day then please contact me asap. Booking will close on Wednesday 27th June.

The Open Sea at Stamp a Stack!

Hello there! So tonight I have my Stamp a Stack event which I am really looking forward to!! Do you know what a Stamp a Stack is?? Well we "stamp a stack" of cards, 12 cards to be precise!! My ladies make 6 different card designs and do 2 of each design. They roughly have 30 minutes at each table. Most of the cutting is prepped for them so its a case of stamp, punch and assemble!!! The class costs £15 or is free if you spend £45 that evening! Lots of my ladies like taking their cards home for free!

Anyway onto the cards! I have CASED this wonderful design from my effervescent and lovely downline Sally Jo, she made hers into an A5 size card though, so these are the mini versions!

I have randomly stamped the images to make a background using Marina Mist, Crumb Cake, Basic Grey and Soft Suede. I also inked the edges with Marina Mist!
The ribbon is Basic Grey or Soft Suede striped grosgrain. My ladies will get a choice as I dont have enough for both cards the same colour!!

The galleon was stamped and then I cut it out on the Big Shot with the ever useful Framelits, cannot imagine what we did without them!!!

Hope you like and hope my ladies like tonight!!

Leeds Training Swaps

Hi there! I am back a bit later than expected! I have had a little bit of a rest week this week whilst being in the show, I have still been pottering about but I have allowed myself time to have a nap in the day as being on stage every night takes its toll when you get older!!!

So I am back with a bit of crafting and my Leeds Training swaps.

I have used the lovely baby set from the new Summer mini which I think is lovely for Scrapbook pages, cards and birth announcements!! The set is called Baby Prints!

I have used a colour combo of Pool Party and Crumb Cake with Whisper White of course!! The Summer Mini products on this card are the stamp set, the embossing folder used at the bottom and the Bakers Twine which is so soft and amazing value at £2.50 a packet!!

I really enjoyed making this, sometimes swaps can become tedious especially as I was making 40 but I really enjoyed these one!!

Its my last performance of The Full Monty tonight and whilst I am looking forward to some sort of normality next week I am already feeling so so sad about our last performance tomorrow!!

Happy Birthday Lucas!

Hello there

Today is my lovely nephew Lucas special birthday - he is 3 today!! He is OBSESSED with Spiderman so last week I set about making him a Spiderman card from punch art. I saw one on a fantastic US blog and when I am not in so much of a rush I will add a link!!

This card was very much a labour of love and took me an age to make!!!

The hardest part was piecing all the parts together so his muscles looked right and he actually resembled Spiderman! The original design used a Spider Web embossing folder but as we dont have one I had to draw the webs on by hand which took time as I was nervous doing it!!

I then had the genius (I thought it was anyway) idea of adding some of the new Bakers Twine in white to the top corner to create a web across the card!!

I really hope he likes the card! Wonder if my Tuesday ladies would like to make this one!!!

And here is the little Spidey himself. I took this photo on Thursday when I looked after him! He was going straight to a party after being at our house so I had to get him ready in his outfit!!

 Smile Spidey!!!!!

Right thats me off for today, I am at the band call for rehearsal this morning - its my favourite ever rehearsal but I just wish I felt well!!
