More Mr & Mrs

Good morning! I am up and about far too early for a Bank Holiday but got loads to do as usual so needs must!!!
Yesterday we spent most of the day down in Lincolnshire, near Grantham for my Aunty and Uncles Pearl Wedding Celebrations. I was their little bridesmaid 30 years ago!!!! It was funny showing Ross and Evan the photos that she had of me and my sister!!
So I decided to make her one of the bride and groom cards but this time I used the Bride papers which are a lot more white than the bridesmaid.
I used the sentiment from Cheers and Wishes and I typed up and insert congratulating them on their Pearl wedding anniversary.

I had to use lots of pearls of course on this card and I used 7 of them from my Pretties kit, gosh think I am nearly all out of pearls now, but she is my favourite Aunty so very worth it!!!!!!

Arty farty angle for you!!!

Before I go remember there is only 2 days left for the 20% offer, please see the post at the top of my blog for more details. I will be placing an order tomorrow for any last minute requests!!

Bye for now

Just Soccer birthday

Hello there, I am a bit earlier posting today!!!!
Today is my Brother in Laws birthday and he is a big Leeds United fan so I made this card perfect for him!!!!
I have used Brilliant Blue and Yo Yo Yellow which are both retiring at the end of September. Both very useful for cards like this so if you need any of your card topping up you know where I am!!! I have used the Just Perfect alphabet to stamp his name.
The boots are cut out and tied together with linen thread.

I do like making these cards for men, they are a bit different and can be adapted to allsorts of things, football, beers, shirt & tie etc.....
Right thats me done for today, off to work on some wedding stuff which hopefully will be slowing down a bit after the end of this month!!!

Baroque Thank Yous

Been a very LONG day here today, had Lucas since 7.45 and man he was wild today. He was all over the place, I am shattered!!!!
Yesterday I had a lovely crafty day! I was lucky to have 3 seperate visits from crafty friends, was lovely!!!!
Here are some cards I made in the morning with a little help from my friend! They are for my customers, I always like to have a stash of them to hand. The colour combo is Elegant Eggplant, Melon Mambo and Old Olive. The stamp set is Baroque Motifs which is a gorgeous set for making quick cards and it looks very elegant. The sentiment is from Tiny Tags.
I also decorated inside the card to add an extra little bit of something

I really love this colour combo and especially love the ribbon, which by the way will no longer be available after the end of September.
Hope you like my quick easy cards
See you tomorrow

90th Birthday card

Hello there
I have been up and off into Leeds on the bus this morning to do the dreaded school shoe shop!! Also had to buy lots of things for Ross starting high school.
The lady over the road asked me for 2 more cards, think I have got a customer there now!!!!Trouble is she needed them the next day!!
This is one for Edgar who is 90. I am trying to use old Su stash up which wont be available in the new catalogue so I have used the Spiced Cider papers and made the shirt from the LEvel 1 hostess paper and added some Soft Suede ribbon to make the tie.

Also used some buttons from the Neutrals pack.

She liked it anyway, was delighted in fact - bless her!!!

See you tomorrow

Wedding Anniversary

Good morning to you all. Today is my 14th Wedding Anniversary!! I feel so old and dont feel like I am old enough to be married for that long!!
Here is the card I made for Robin, decided I should do a new one for him rather than one I had planned for class!!! Although I like this one so I might do this in class!!!!!!!
I have seen the fantastic bunting ideas on Monica's and Carol's blogs and I wanted to incorporate it on my card. The colours I have used are Ruby Red (retiring), Mellow Moss (retiring) and Soft Suede (staying - yeah!)
The papers I have used are from the Level 1 hostess pack, they have been really useful for projects, I hope we get some more in the new catty. I have watercoloured the truck with my ink pads and the watercolour brush. Remember the stamp set Loads of Love is 20% off this month so its only £15.16, let me know if you want one!!!!

Close up of the bunting which is made using the star punch and glue dots, I used some silver elastic thread too.

I also decorated inside the card with a sentiment from Cheer and Wishes set and some hearts from the small heart punch

Arty farty angle!
Hope you like it but most importantly hope Robino does, he never really comments on the cards though!!! I did come downstairs to find a bunch of lovely flowers and a card on the table this morning so thats perked me up!!!!
See you tomorrow

Welcome baby!

Where did that weekend go???
I have had such a fun weekend, took Evan to his dance lesson on Saturday morning and then a few of us from dancing arranged an impromptu trip to a social dance event on Saturday evening. It was the first time I had danced outside of a class or lesson so it was a big learning curve but really fun!! Its much harder when there are so many people on the floor and I did get trod on once!!!!
OK so here is a card I sent to my lovely friend Elaine on Friday as her and her hubby Dave have become Grandparents to Ruby. I am so thrilled for them, Elaine is going to be the bestest Grandma!!!
I have used the baby vest from the hostess set All for Friends which will no longer be available from end of September. If you would like information on how to get your hands on one then message me!! I have also used the little teddy bear from the All in the Family accessories set. They are hung on the washing line with linen thread and brads.

The colour combo is one I love for baby girls, its Pretty in Pink and Barely Banana (which is retiring in a few weeks). As you can see on the photo above I have stamped the vests all over in Pretty in PInk to make a background.

Scallop edge punched border (what would we do without it!) and some Pretty in Pink striped grosgrain ribbon to finish it off!!

Hope you have had fab weekends and see you tomorrow

Dasher in Suede!!

Well I cant say good morning today, I am so late posting I did wonder whether I should just leave todays post until tomorrow!!!!
I have had a really awkward wedding order to do today and I knuckled down at 10am and got on with it, took a long time and a little help from a friend but I have now finished it!!
Here is a a card I made on Monday night when my friend Fiona came round to play (Fiona I have ordered your goodies by the way!!)
Now in my eagerness I moved this card before Dasher was dry on the Bridesmaid papers and I am afraid his back leg smudged so I have had to touch him up !!!!!!! with a chocolate chip marker!!
I just LOVE this polka dot Soft Suede ribbon, I do love Brown but green is my fave colour at the moment, I cant get enough of it on my clothes etc..... I am even looking at getting a green car!!

Hope you like my rubbishy smudged card!!!!!!!
I have been working on my scrapbooking for my new classes commencing 25th September. I only have 3 places left on the Saturday afternoon classes, all dates are on my calendar on the right!!

All the stamps used on this card were from the Trendy Trees set, love the sentiments in this set too, fit into the Word Window punch as you can see!!!
Ooops almost forgot I also used SOft Suede for the tree trunks!!

Anniversary card

Morning all!
I have been playing around with ideas for an anniversary card for my hubby Robin as we have been married 14 years next Tuesday!!! EEEKkkkkkk!!!!
I wanted to make something a bit more masculine and also something my ladies could make at our LURVE class near the end of the month.
I went for an easel card using the colours Taken With Teal (retiring), Pumpkin Pie and Soft Suede. Also wanted to use some of the spotty Soft Suede ribbon which unfortunately will also be going at the end of September!
The birds were stamped first onto the white card and then onto some patterned paper from the Sweet Pea pad and cut and layered on top. I used the linen thread (so useful) and added some of the Tiny Tags to it also a lot of paper pricking too!

The Happy ANniversay sentiment is from Cheers and Wishes.
RIght thats it for me today, got a day of wedding stuff in between sorting the boys out and housework!!!
Back tomorrow

Playing with hearts!!!

Gosh its been all go here today, only just found time to write this!! Still catching up with holiday laundry!!!
ON Tuesday night I asked my ladies what they would like to do at the next class and they said cards for anniversaries and engagments etc..... So we are having a Lurve Night on 31st August at our next class!!!
I have been playing aroung with ideas and came up with this card which can be adapted for a number of occasions
Rich Razzleberry card, with Melon Mambo and using the I Heart Hearts ets. I spent a little time cutting these hearts out and layering them over the polka dot ribbon.

Ruffled it up a bit at the edge for a jaunty look!!!!!!

Inside I punched out some more hearts with the matching Heart to Heart punch. I left the rest blank and can add a sentiment when I need to!!

Here are a few photos from yesterdays match!

Ross in his shirt and tie (the tie is my dads which he borrowed, its in the club colours)

The winning team, above left, Ross is bottom right with the cap on and above here he is, slightly sweating from playing all day!! He is so proud of his trophy and we are so proud of him!
Until tomorrow

Big Bold Birthday

Bit late in posting today, the day is running away with me!! I have had a lovely day so far though, been crafting at my lovely friends house this morning!! Was great to sit and craft and chat and not think about wedding invites and things like that!!!
I took some things to make and one of the items I wanted to make was a card for a challenge on a forum I go on, www.inlovewithstamping.com
The challenge was to use the colour combo Basic Grey, So Saffron, Certainly Celery and Whisper White. I have teamed this with the Big Bold Birthday stamp set which is on special offer!!!
Not a combo I thought would look good with cupcakes but I think I got away with it!!!

Stamped the cupcake in Basic Grey and So Saffron, I achieved the dotty look by stamping off the cupcake frosting to create a paler So Saffron and then stamped over it with the dots stamp.

Lots of dimension on this card, on the cupcake frosting and then the whole layer has been mounted with dimensionals!! I love the taffeta ribbon, it makes tying bows very easy.

Hope you like the card, remember the stamp set is reduced to £19.16 for AUGUST only (its usually £23.95). If you would like to order please get in touch!!

Back tomorrow

Tri-fold baby card

Hello and Happy Friday!! Its raining here so its a bit miserable!!!
I made this card the other week for a commissioned order. I actually made the invitations for the parents who got married last year, lovely to know they have now had a little girl. I think she was 5 weeks early!
The shape has been cut out with my nesties and I have inked the sides of the card with the Nursery Letters wheel in Pretty in Pink.
The image is just like the one I used the other day from FUn and Fast notes and coloured in with my markers in Pretty in Pink.

The details of the baby have been punched out with the ovals and layered up with the scallop oval punch. All tied together with some pink gingham ribbon.
Thats all for now folks

Holiday Album

Hello there!!!!
As promised here is the little project we made on Tuesday night. I got the Planner/Album from my lovely friend and fellow SU demo Bekka. Bekka made me a gorgeous one to store my Monaco photos and memories!
I have used the Pink Flamingo papers to give the album a holiday feel.
The colours used are Cameo Coral (retiring), Summer Sun (retiring) and Real Red (staying).

I used the Just Perfect alphabet for the front and will use this for my photos from France

Please forgive the amount of photos, I have added a photo for each page. I used 5 envelopes to make this album but clever Vicky asked for an extra envelope and she made a Birthday Book!!

The pages inside have been decorated with a mixture of Tiny Tags (on special offer) and Life's a Breeze.

Love this Sun Fun sentiment and Bucket and spade.

Hope you like my album. Please pop over to
Bekka's blog as she has done variety of different albums
Thats all for now, supermarket shopping to do now!
