Grandad card

Hello there
This is a really sneaky post as I have my nephew Lucas upstairs asleep and he is not the best sleeper when he is here so my time may be limited!!
Here is the male version of the card I did yesterday!
Colour combo of Really Rust and Chocolate Chip and using the Chocolate Chip designer papers.

I have used the versatile Cheers to You again with the beer mug which I have coloured in with the markers and then added Crystal Effects to make it look like glass.

The numbers are from the Schoolbook Serif alphabet again, dont know what I would do without these. The letters are the Just Perfect alphabet again.

I have had a few questions about how to make these cards so I will do a tutorial at some point this week!

Right I am off to have a bit more "me" time before Lucas wakes up!

Back tomorrow!!

Funky 18th Birthday

Today I am having a wedding free day, I woke up so excited knowing that I was just going to make normal cards today!!!!! My friend has ordered 4 cards from me. Her Niece is 18 and her Dad 65 so she wanted a card for each of them and then also cards from her boys!
This is the card for her boys to give their cousin. Decided to go with a cocktail/Sex and the City type theme with the Black and Hot pink, aka Basic Black and Pink Passion!!
The papers are from the Night and Day set which are only available for a limited time!!
The word Cousin has been stamped using the Just Perfect alphabet and the Stamp a ma jig to get it straight!!! Stamped in Basic Black in and then black gingham ribbon added above it. I put a little slit along the spine for the ribbon to go through.

The cocktails have been coloured in with my Stampin Write markers and the colours used are Pixie Pink, Only Orange and Gable Green.

As you can see I cut the orange and the umbrella out again and decoupaged with dimensionals!

The cocktails were punched out using the 1 3/8 punch and then the 1 3/4 punch.

The number 18 is from the Schoolbook Serif alphabet.
I have to say this is one card that I really love and I dont want to give it away!!!!! I would love a card like this for my birthday, its just so me!!!! Plus I would also love to be 18 again!!!!! ha ha!!!
Right I am going to get a few jobs done now I have made the 4 cards, will be back tomorrow with a mans card for you

All for Friends Hostess set!

Happy Tuesday!!! I decided to have a break from blogging yesterday after Sundays hectic day!!! But I am back now!!!
Here is a cute (well I think it is!) baby card using the little bodysuit from the All for Friends new hostess set from the mini catalogue.
I have used Kraft cardstock for the base of the card and then I have coloured 3 of the bodysuits in with my Stampin Up marker pens. I decided to use some linen thread to create a little washing line and wound it round some blue brads.

Used the Scallop Edge punch for a little bit more interest and then added the sentiment from Nursery Neccessities. The middle bodysuit has been layered up. Colours used for the colouring are Bashful Blue and Barely Banana.

I also made one for a baby girl at the same time and will be back with that one tomorrow

Take care

Jake's birthday card

Good morning!! I am up and about early this morning as I have such a busy day!! Ross has got his first cricket match of the season this morning so I will be going to watch him shortly, he is very excited but the weather has turned here so it may be called off!!
Here is the card I made in a hurry yesterday afternoon! Evan told me Jake likes football so I went with that and the good old faithful Schoolbook Serif alphabet!!!
I went with Yo Yo Yellow and Brilliant Blue as these are Leeds United colours

I made an interesting discovery making this card, the 1 1/4 circle punch fits perfectly round the footballs, so I punched a few out and layered them up!

I also cut out the boots and strung them together and tied them dangling from the number 7 just for an added feature.

Quite pleased with my efforts, took between 15-20 minutes.
So after cricket I have to go to a rehearsal for 6 hours and then straight onto a private ballroom lesson, my goodness I will sleep tonight!!

Bloomin with Beauty!!!!

Hello there!!
Been at dancing class with Evan this morning, he is still really enjoying it which I am so pleased about and he is already learning good technique!!
Todays card is a simple but striking card using the Bloomin with Beauty stamp set, which I have to confess I dont use enough!!!
The background is stamped with the vine stamp from the Vintage Vogue set, I cannot seem to put this stamp down at the moment!!
Colour combo is of course Real Red and Basic Black.

I have coloured the image using my blender pens and the ink pads then added some wide striped grosgrain and a clear rhinestone brad and twisted it round the ribbon.

Added a little paper pricking in the corner to add some more interest!

Right have to dash, Evan has to go to a party in 2 hours and I havent even made a card for the birthday boy yet!!!!

I (Heart) Hearts!!

Happy Friday!
REally quick post this morning as I am expecting baby Lucas to turn up any minute!!!!
This is a card I made yesterday. Have had this set for a week or so but not inked it up so I got it mounted and away I went!
I knew I wanted to have a rown of different shaped hearts but then I had the idea to string them together with the black gingham ribbon and I love the effect!

I love the Pink Passion flourish heart!

And the Basic Black one too!!

Arty Farty angle!

Right I really must dash because I think I just heard a card door!

Greenhouse Garden set re-worked!

Well its a much nicer day here today, very rainy yesterday!!!
After tea last night I sat down to make a few cards (didnt have to go to rehearsal until 8.30). When I prep for my classes I usually cut out a couple of sets extra in case of mistakes etc.. so for once I decided to use all these bits up instead of shoving them in my scrap box!!!
Over the next couple of days I will show you the same card styles and colour combos but using different stamp sets!!
Today is Vintage Vogue!!
Rock and roll technique on the flower which is mounted on dimensionals

Inside of the card

The next one is the Easel card

And finally the Criss Cross card

And the complete set!

Hope you like them, I really enjoyed my little crafty session and have 2 more sets to show you! I will be back tomorrow with the next set!

Weekend update!

I feel a bit naughty for not posting for 2 days but this weeken had been so actioned packed, I just havent had chance!!!
Saturday mornings are now filled with taking Evan to his dance lessons! He still loves it which is fab!! On Saturday afternoon I had a lovely class doing the Greenhouse Garden class. It was lovely to see one of my long standing customers Diane come over for the class. She got me a gorgeous pressie and card too! Thanks Diane!
Yesterday I had a 6 hour rehearsal for Footloose!! 12-6!! Was a really long stretch but it went OK! We open 4 weeks tomorrow!
The week was spent creating the day stationery for a wedding which takes place this coming Saturday. The colour scheme is pink and gold, first time I have done this scheme and I am pleased with how it looks. Below is a little snippet of the table plan!

I have been making some important decisions regarding the weddings etc and I am going to take on a bit less work for the time being! My Stampin Up business is something I am keen to spend a lot more time on so I am now going to try and spend the same amount of time on each of them a week! Once I get all these summer weddings out of the way!!
Thats it for now, boys back to school today so best get cracking!
