Cupcake crazy!

Today's title really sums me up!!! I LOVE cupcakes, can you tell!! I love everything about them, eating them of course (need to stop as I need to loose weight for Footloose) but I also love how trendy they are at the moment. They are very retro I think and I am obsessed with buying things with them on. Here is a selection of cupcake items I have

Diary
Tea towels
Oven Gloves
Bunting (in my conservatoire)
Many mugs
Mirror (my friend Anna got me this)
Cookie Jar x 2 (lovely pressies from peeps!)
Coasters
Money box
Air freshner
Storage boxes
Tray (pressie from lovely customer
Fridge magnets (birthday pressie)

Gosh the more I sit and think about it the more I realise I have!!! I have probably forgotten loads too!

So the other day I spent a nice afternoon working on some designs for my Cupcake Crazy class on 29th March. I wanted to make a cupcake bag with 4 cards inside and here is my first
attempt!

I have hand drawn the top of the cupcake and then cut it out to make a template. The whole colour combination is Sage Shadow, Chocolate Chip and Regal Rose. Although it looks like its a box I wanted it to be more like a sturdy bag hence the ribbon handle

The cupcake casing has been created by concertina folding the Chocolate Chip designer papers and glueing them down (this was the most faffy part of the whole project.

Inside are 4 little 10cm cards, I will also stamped envelopes too but I ran out of time!

And here is the whole project together!

If you would like to come to the class please let me know ASAP. I only have 3 places left as it stands at the moment. The cost is £10 and it is on 20th March in Pudsey nr Leeds!

Back tomorrow!

Happy Birthday SJ!

Today is my lovely Sarah-Jane's birthday. I have already wished her Happy Birthday over the phone but Happy Birthday again SJ, hope you have had a lovely day!
While I was making the Rose is a Rose set I decided to make SJ a card with it too, using the same colours.
Its a really simple card but I love the sentiment and I think it somes up how I feel about all of my team!!!

The colour combo is Rose Red, Old Olive and Regal Rose.
We had a fab night last night at card class making the Say it with Scallops set.
If you are in the Leeds area and would like to come to my OPEN HOUSE on Friday please get in touch with me to book a place!

A Rose is a Rose gift tin

Ooo I am a bit earlier today. The boys are back at school and now I have a bit of peace for a while!!!
Here is the gift tin that matches yesterdays Rose is a Rose card. Using same colour combo and papers I have used this pencil tin to make a little gift holder. I am on the lookout for something to go inside, maybe some nice soaps or something! Maybe a trip to Marks and Sparks is in order!
I have covered the inside with Old Olive papers. You could put a little divider in if you knew what gifts were going in!

Here is the set together, hope you likey!

Right, sorry for the short post, got loads and loads to do as usual, got my Tuesday night card class to get ready for, its Say it with Scallops tonight!

A Rose is a Rose

Good evening!! Very late posting today. My boys have been on a Training Day and I ahve been looking after my friends 2 this morning also, so I had 4 boys for 3.5 hours!!!!!
Onto todays card. This card is part of my Rose is a Rose class which I will be teaching on Tuesday 9th March. I have made the card as a Mothers Day card but it could be done as a special birthday card also or an anniversary card
The colour combo is one of my favourites, Regal Rose, Rose Red and Old Olive. Unusually for me the card is A5 in size to make it even more special. The papers are the Rose Red designer papers and the ribbon is the Rose Red double stitched grosgrain.

I added some Dazzlin Diamonds glitter to the rose.

Arty farty angle

I also stamped inside, again this sentiment can be changed to anything really
I just wanted to share with you a lovely surprise I got this morning. One of my friends and lovely customers Vicky, sent me this card to thank me for the All Day class I did. What a surprise Vicky, thank you so much, you are such a support to me and my SU business!! Arent crafters a nice bunch!!
If you want to see the reat of the class project then come back tomorrow!!

More Schoolbook Serif!

Is it snowy near you?? We have had loads of snow overnight! I am hoping I will still get to go to my dance lesson this afternoon as I look forward to it all week!
My big boy Ross has gone to a Go Karting party today, I am a bit worried about him doing the Go Karting but I am sure he will be fine!
I had to do this really quick card again this morning as I never got to have my crafty session yesterday as my sister came round with my scrummy Nephew Lucas!
So another quick and easy boys card using the stars from Starring You set and the All in the Family set
I have again used the Schoolbook Serif alphabet, a fantastic alphabet, I love it so much (can you tell). You could have this set free if you sign up to become a Stampin Up demonstrator before the end of next week!! If you sign up with me I will also give you another free set!! Check out my post above this one for details!
As Thomas is having the GO Karting party I wanted to incorporate this into the card so I drew the chequered flag by hand. Ross seemes pleased with the card anyway so thats good!

Arty farty angle as usual!

Right I am off to find something to wear for my dance class. It is much better to wear a skirt or dress but I dont possess many and the ironing pile is very high so who knows what I will have to wear today!

Thanks for reading!

More Sunny Day cards

Good morning - Yipppeee its the weekend!!!!
I will start today with a little plug for my marker share! I have filled 3 places, I just need to fill the 4th and final place! Here are the details

Do you love the Stampin Up markers but you cannot afford to spend £99.95 in one go???
I am running a marker club! I need 4 people for 4 months!

Each month you will spend £24.95 and get one set of markers. I will order the full case and split them up between the 4 people each month.

What is the benefit??
You get to only pay £24.95 a month (plus £2.00 p&P) rather than £99.95 in one go
One of the months you will receive the storage holder for them (as shown below). The storage holder is only available when you purchase the full set

On the month you get the holder you can choose to place an extra order of £50 to take you up to hostess benefits (this is totally optional)

I will give each person from the club a free Sale A Bration set of their choice!
Here are all the lovely markers in all their glory!!
Ok onto some cards! These are 3 of the remaining cards from my Birthday Tin we did last Saturday on the All Day class, which seems so much longer than a week ago!!!

Background on the Pumpkin Pie card is made with the Vintage Labels stamp and then I have used the birdcage stamp from the Happy Moments set.

This one is my favourite one, even though it involved a bit of careful cutting out!!! The present was punched out with the 1 3/4 punch and then I cut round it by hand onto Pink Passion card. I hid the greeting behind so the circle covered it. The die cut borders from the Scrappin KIt add a lovely little finish to the card

And finally, a very easy card again using the Vintage Labels for a background and also for the main sentiment.

Hoping to have a bit of a card making session this afternoon - kids and hubby permitting!

Sorry for going AWOL!

Good morning!
Sorry for disappearing without warning, I was so busy before we went away that I never got chance to schedule posts plus its been nice to have a mini break from blogging!
Some of you may know, last November I was so lucky to come 2nd in the UK Demonstrator of the Year for Stampin Up! My prize was £750 so I knew straight away I wanted to spend it on my family! I booked us a trip to Disneyland Paris for 4 days and here are the boys!
To say it was cold was an understatement!!!!! We were prepared though! I even bought the boys a pair of girls black leggings and they wore them underneath their trousers!!! SSSShhhhh dont tell them I told you though!

The park was very busy and we did have to do lots of queueing in the cold and the rain but we still had a fab time. I think we jinxed a lot of the rides as a few times we would be queueing and they would break down!

I never got one photo of me the whole few days so you will have to make do with these pictures of my boys! They are much cuter anyway!!!!

If anyone is going to the Disney Studios park and fancies a go on Crush's Coaster please dont be fooled into thinking its a lovely little Finding Nemo ride!! OMG it was horrible, we were flung around in a spinning turtle shell in the dark, the kids loved it, I felt sick for about 24 hours!!!

We got home last night later than planned due to Eurostar cancelling our train from Lille without any warning and putting us all on the one an hour later, with no communication or anything. It was horrid. We had a connecting train to get to Leeds from Kings Cross and needless to say we missed it! Then the Eurostar we were on ended up being 15 minutes late and we had abour 13 minutes to run from St Pancras to Kings Cross and get new tickets for a later train home! We managed to do it and the kind man at Kings Cross didnt make us pay again. We were all so stressed, out of breath and red as a bunch of beetroots though!!!!!

All in all though we have had a fab time and we wouldnt have had this trip if it hadnt of been for Stampin UP!!! If you want to join my team and this amazing company then please get in touch ASAP. The Sale a Bration offer is only available until the end of next week!

Back tomorrow with cards I promise!

What a great day!

WARNING - This post has lots of photos so grab a coffee!!!
Well yesterday was my much anticipated All Day Craft Event. In the end I had 23 ladies who spent the day crafting. I want to start by thanking you all for coming especially those who had travelled so far to get here (including lots of my lovely team!)
The day was spent making the following projects. A treat box, a treat pouch and then a Birthday tin with 8 cards.
Here is the tin in more details, made using the Sunny Day Scrappin Kit. The tin was a project that I wanted the ladies to use their imagination doing, and not necessarily copy mine. There were loads of great designs which I will show later

Inside the tin we had a printed template which I made on Word.

Close up of the treat box which we filled with boiled sweets.

And the treat pouch which we filled with Chocolate Freddos!

You can fit 2 Freddos in here, just a shame they dont make them in pink and turquoise!

During the day I had a raffle and half the proceeds are going to some fundraising for my friends little boy age 14 months who has just been diagnosed with Leukemia. His Mum gave me permission to use this picture of him and was delighted that we were helping out!

Card samples

My lovely friend Mel did the catering for me and I told her we must have cupcakes with a hot pink theme!! She did me proud and even let me borrow the cupcake stand!

They were really really delicious!

I will leave you now with a few random photos of some of the tins I snapped whilst walking round

Thank you ladies for sharing a special day with me, I hope you all enjoyed it!
I am planning another event for end of June/early July so watch this space!!

Card for Anja!

Happy Friday!!
Oh what a day I have had so far! Was at supermarket for 9.15 and then home to clean up for my visitor!!!!! The central heating boiler is on the blink so had the gas man here for 2 hours and its still not fixed properly although it is working for now!
My friend asked me to make her a card for her niece (I did one for hear last year) and she wanted it Hello Kitty. The only thing I had was this sizzlits die. I have used some retired Sweet Always papers (it is still my all time favourite and I hace a bit left in my stash!)
Used the Schoolbook Serif alpha again, I must be up to 50 times of using that soon!!!! Now I was a bit naughty as I didnt use my Stamp a ma jig and there is a reason why! It is hidden in the last photo!!!

Arty shot for you!
This is what my conservatoire looks like at the moment. All this is stuff I need for my all day class tomorrow! Can you believe it!! (Not the scrunched up brown paper, but everything else!)

I am not ready yet but I am sure I will be by bedtime tonight! Who knows when that will be though as I am sure Sarah Jane and I will be up chatting for ages!!!
Right I have to go pick up the boys soon and then its off to the airport to pick up my matey from Southampton!
I will hopefully post tomorrow evening with pictures from the all day class!
